I ask the African lady at the deli for a sample of the shaved ham to see if I wanted more than a pound. She says "no samples"! Then after a bit of awkward silence. She took a small piece, put it in a napkin and wadded it up into a tiny ball and handed it to me. I said what the heck, then more awkward silence. Strange deli you have there.

Kimball Junction store Park City. This is where we shop. Not many options. Prices are Better than what you find in Park city Central. however I have to say I feel like we've been duped more than once in the meat department. Spring of 2022 we picked up a couple of really good looking T-bone steaks that were on sale. They looked good in the package but they were terrible, they were tough, flavorless and just disappointing. I guess I should've learned because yesterday we picked up a couple of New York's that looked really good as well. Sat down to dinner and would've needed a chainsaw to cut through them -even though they were cooked medium rare. The meat was tough they were full of gristle there was so much fat;it was an embarrassment and a huge bummer. We couldn't eat then had to toss. I'm glad I didn't have company and it was just the two of us. I'm going to customer service today and I'm showing them the pictures and taking my receipt with me because it's just wrong to sell me crap meat under the guise that it's a good cut and piece. I'm not sure where they're getting their cows from but this was a really bad experience and not for the first time. There are enough disappointments in todays world with prices jacked up on everything and people still sick. Smith's shouldn't cheapen their standards to make a buck; good food is one of the few pleasures we have left! Invest in a nice steak dinner and bite into tasteless tough piece of meat. A shame.

If you are a first time customer with Smith's aka "Kroger" utilizing the $99 Boost program for grocery delivery.... let me save you some trouble... DO NOT DO IT!!!! It works through Instacart and my experience was a complete nightmare. I played the $99 first, 45 mins after shopping online I placed my first order and paid using the same credit card. About a hour later... I thought about something extra I needed so I went back to my pending order so I could add the one single item! It says that you can and I figured no issues since my delivery wasn't due to arrive the next day around 2-4 pm. Boy was I wrong.... my order was automatically cancelled since I tried to add one item. There is NO place on the website or in the fine print that states after you place any order (cancelled or delivered to you) you have to wait a full 24 hours or longer before you can place another order. I attempted to order everything again that night around 11pm and I got an error code with a toll free number to call. The next morning I called and spoke with a women who told me to wait 2 hours and place the order again.. I got the same error code so I called back and they told me to wait a few hours and try again. Long story short... after multiple attempts and over $2300 worth of 'holds on my credit card" and NO groceries or end in sight. I finally went to Wal-Mart in Heber City and pulled up so they could put my groceries in the trunk! I mean... what a complete nightmare! I will be calling in the morning to get a refund for the $99 for Boost or disputing it with my credit card company! What a joke!

We bought food to take back to our Hotel and eat. The sandwich we bought was made with crusts. Who does that? If you wouldn't want it like that, then don't make it. The Salad wasn't good at all, very, very, very dry. There may be a quality issue going on in the Deli Portion of this Store.

Absolute trash customer service. The moment I asked the manager lady if she was a manger she immediately went into full "need a Valium" mode and could not even respond to me when I asked why they had a butcher there but didn't have anyone to cut meat. I mean this lady was shaking and looking left and right like someone less stupid than her was going to come and handle her problems for her. The head butcher there refused to cut meat for me. Absolutely pathetic. I told the knee buckled "manger" that I will not return here. I drove 35 minutes just to get this beef and was told I couldn't be assisted. I miss New York already. Will never return to this garbage can grocery store. I have never been so embarrassed to complain.

Horrible horrible customer service at the service desk. I had a problem with a ecoupon not pulling up with the correct price so wanted a manger to help me. The cashier sent me over to the customer service desk and I guess mentioned what was happening and the young lady at the service desk grunted like here we again! Not very pleasant very rude! Then when the cashier walked away for her to help us the lady at the customer service looked at me and stated what's the problem!??? I straight up gave her her a death stare! That was the rudest way to ever respond to a customer! Like I work in the hospitaly field and I deal with customers all the time and this was definitely not the way to go about it she was like 21 years old. When I asked what her name was she hesitated and then said yam.

HIGH PRICES! There is a sign entering the store for new hire "freight crews" starting salary at $24/hr. Unfortunately, paying entry-level employees such wages translates to high prices for consumers. I even found some items to be cheaper at the nearby Whole Foods, which is notorious for high prices.

Came here for the sushis. Came with tunas, salmons, eels, and a good amount of wasabis. Better than Whole Foods and Wegmans sushis.

meat market butcher block, they now have a corp price structure that enables them to charge more for salmon you ask for to be cut, not trimmed, just cut in half , belly cut. or you get snow crab clusters straight from the freezer box , without a tare weight so you pay $11.99 for ice, or you ask them to cut a large roast in half, buying the whole piece and they say no can do, or you go to the deli, ask for a lb and you get 1.45 lbs. i am sorry this kimball jnct store has been hit my a case of dysfunction, or just plain stupid. i now have 14 friends who shop elsewhere and the word is spreading

I usually enjoy coming to this Smith's. The layout is great and seems spacious, even when the store is crowded. They also have some products that the Smith's in Millcreek doesn't have. However, their management is absolutely terrible. So many workers not wearing their masks correctly, including one manager at the front end where the registers are. She actually pulled her sequined mask off to yell to someone "go ahead and take your break!" Are you kidding me?The store manager on duty wasn't much better. He didn't really seem to care that his employees weren't wearing masks. I thought there was a mask mandate in Summit County, and also at all Kroger locations?

I stopped early this morning to get gas at the Smiths. The pump kept my credit card. The pump would not give me back my credit card. The pump totally froze. I am at the Smiths all the time and was starting a business trip driving all the way to LA. And just leaving home my business card was forfeited. I have tried every means to get a hold of the Smiths all day while on the road and there is no way to get a hold of them with the exception of the person working at the gas station who treated me like an idiot. "The pump gives your card back" we'll, it kept my card. I was there at the beginning of a 12 hour drive and after 10 minutes, it wouldn't give my card back. Guy on the phone " It was never turned in, I don't know what to tell you"

Basic run of the mill grocery store. The store is generally clean and maintained. The fresh sushi bar is always a favorite when we are visiting Park City. The reason I gave this store 3 stars is that I hate when employees talk down to me like I'm a child. As a 51 year old, I despise being called things like darling, sweetheart, and other terms as such, especially by people who don't know me. Training employees how to address customers could come in handy here.

This Park City store needs a complete management change. i ordered home delivery on the smith's website. Delivery never arrived, but i received an email from smith's saying the delivery was complete and asking me to rate the delivery. i called the store & manager said they can't help. told me to call the 800 number for instacart in san francisco. after 45 minutes on hold i was advised that the wait remaining would be 169 minutes!return call to smith's management received same "can't help you" response. i asked them to cancel the order & was told to call instacart. i asked to speak to store manager & was put on hold. a few minutes later, "customer service" manager came back and reported store manager said to call instacart or my credit card company and instruct them to deny the charge. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!manager claims they have no way to contact instacart - i DONOT believe them.WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN PARK CITY!I'll be shopping at Market at Park City or Fresh market from no on and recommend all in Park City do the same. Smith's is not Smith's anymore: it's KROGER!
