“This was our first time at the Concert on the Slopes, a spontaneous decision to join friends for a night under the stars enjoying live music.
The experience was fantastic. As a musician, I thought the sound quality was excellent. We got to hear jazz artist Boney James and his band for the first time, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed their performance—they were outstanding.

Seating options included reserved or lawn seats; we chose the lawn, which offered a great view. A low-profile beach chair is a must for comfort—our Tommy Bahama chairs from Costco worked perfectly and were far cheaper than the reserved seating chairs of similar quality.

You could bring canned or sealed plastic sodas, but no alcohol or bottles of any kind. Drinks like wine, beer, and cocktails were available for purchase at reasonable prices, and food was also offered at fair prices if you didn’t bring your own.

We arrived about 30 minutes before the show and easily secured eight spots right behind the reserved section—a great tip for saving money and still getting prime seats.

On hot nights, the sun can be intense until it sets behind the mountains, so a light jacket is good to have once it cools off.

Overall, it was a great first experience, with free, nearby parking and plenty of seating. Every venue may have different rules, but here there wasn’t a bad seat in the house. Retired or active military can get great discounts, including $10 lawn seats for all concerts with valid military ID.

I will definitely return for another concert on the slopes. It was a beautiful view and great opportunity to be out under the stars with live music.”
