On Saturday, I received a call from Anna, one of their employees, to file our taxes since we had requested an extension. I explained that the previous person gave us incorrect advice, shared our situation, and asked to work with someone experienced.
Two things really concerned me:
1. She told me that based on the amount I earned, I didn’t even need to file taxes — which is completely irresponsible coming from someone in this field.
2. She asked for my Social Security number over the phone, which I never give out for security reasons. I found that very unprofessional.
Unfortunately, they continue to provide inaccurate information and don’t handle sensitive matters like taxes with the care they deserve. I do not recommend this place.

I went to file my taxes as an international student. Susi told us it would be $350 for my husband (he is a U.S. citizen) and $350 for me, and that we had to file separately because I’m not a resident. She said we would owe a lot and insisted filing separately was our only option.
She also advised us to request an extension, which cost $100 each, and gave us a $25 coupon “as a favor.” After that, we called the IRS directly, and they told us that we actually could file jointly and that it would be better for us.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.
They gave us incorrect advice and made us spend more than necessary. If you’re unsure, always double-check with the IRS or a qualified profession

Like most other reviews I wish I could leave negative stars. What an absolute joke. Thought we were gonna get a pretty big return especially after having the kid and I’m pretty sure we didn’t get the 2,000 child tax credit for 2023. Don’t go to Amy Snyder. Don’t go to this H&R Block. File on TurboTax by yourself you’ll get more back without even having tax experience. Truly disappointed and upset.

I would give negative stars if I could. The lady that I had to deal with today was a joke. She treated me and my husband like we were trash from the moment we walked in until we left. To make it worse I drove an hour in the weather. I have been a customer of h&r block for 25 years and I've never once been treated like this. She was snobby and she acted like she was above everybody. People like her should not be working with the public. This office should be really rethinking who they have working for them no wonder you guys have such low reviews.

Owner is ignorant and rude over parking spots. Uses a tiny sign threatening to tow your vehicle under his breath. Hey “tough guy” instead of being a rude human being when someone is kindly moving their vehicle say thank you. I see from your other real reviews it’s just who you are. Power hungry ? little man. Just cause your life isn’t what you want don’t take it out on other people. News flash it’s not tax time nor is your business booming ?. I would never do business or waste my time with an inconsiderate “man”

They made a mistake on our taxes. They calculated a 2022 tax payment as a 2023 payment. We ended up having to pay $3K that we were not planning on that had accrued interested.
She told us after the fact that she could have offered us a “peace of mind guarantee” that would have covered the entire thing but it slipped her mind. They refunded us their fee but did not cover the interest on the mistake.
Would not recommend. But if you do ASK FOR THE PEACE OF MIND INSURANCE. It is only $40, we definitely would have paid for it if it was offered to us.

They messed up and we ended up having to pay more taxes and interest. They refunded us the fee we paid to get the taxes done. The office is unprofessional and I would recommend getting your taxes done elsewhere.

If I could give NEGATIVE stars I would. This was our first time doing our taxes through H&R Block and we will never go back. We set up payment at the end of our appointment to pay what was owed. I remember this very clearly as I said let’s just pay it now and the employee helping us encouraged not to pay until the last required day.
We got a notification our state taxes were paid but never got a notification our federal taxes were paid. We got an invoice from the government saying we now owe 8% interest on the taxes we didn’t pay. H&R Block really screwed us over.
When we called the office, they blamed us and said we didn’t leave a card or account on file for payment. But the state taxes were paid just fine so not sure how their argument holds up. Either way they are blaming us and now we’re left to deal with the mess they created.
Lastly, they weren’t very helpful and didn’t really seem to know too much u about taxes because the computer system did it all. Wasn’t impressed when we weee there, definitely not impressed now.
Beware of H&R Block

Nope. Maybe other locations are better. Stay away from this one. I hate doing taxes, so I thought I'd have someone do them for me, take away a bit of the stress. So I show up at H&R block, hand them my documents, and get my return filed. I owed money, and we set up the payment right then and there. Problem #1: My taxes were never paid...one of the most important things I needed done, even though I had provided them the information necessary. Problem #2: I was told I could find my filing in my H&R Block account online. It's not there. When asked, I was told to clear my cache and cookies...I couldn't roll my eyes harder. Take your business elsewhere folks.

If I could give negative stars I would. They didn’t know what they were doing. Because of doing Uber driving and doordash no taxes are taken out. They wanted me to put money down to what they think I would owe in taxes. The problem is they did not know about tax deductions including the mileage from driving my own car for work and it would have costed me more money then I thought it would have for a professional at H&R Block to file my taxes. I ended up walking out and had a family friend who is an accountant file my taxes and I ended up getting some money back. If I had gone with H&R Block the cost of them filing my taxes would have been more then what I actually got back from my tax return.

I used them for them for my 2022 taxes, paid them and what I owed at the office, and thought I was done, but I got a letter from the IRS saying I still owed over $800. So I took that to H&R Block because they claim to back up their work, but they said they didn't know why I still owed that and so they wouldn't cover it. So I paid that off, but I have continued to get letters from the IRS for the past 6 months with new charges every time. The only reason I'm not giving them a 1 star is because I think they did good with my returns from the year before but, I was getting money back that time so even if they did a poor job, it's not like the IRS would send me my overpaid money back out of the kindness of their hearts.
