As someone who would love to support the small business whenever possible, I have been coming here rather than petco or petsmart to get all my pet needs. After todays experience I will not be back, Extremely rude, unhelpful service, I will no longer support a business who doesn't care about the way they treat people. It's unfortunate that there aren't more small pet stores around this area, or this place would surely be out of business. I understand people have bad days, but remaining professional is key.

I used to work in a commercial pet store where rodent care could be greatly improved. This place was way worse. They use pine shavings for their bedding, which for hamsters is very dangerous, as they are allergic to it. I can't imagine healthy hamsters coming from here ever. Additionally there are waaaay too many rodents per cage and they really smelled. Their rodents are not taken well care of.If you want a cheap bedding that is safe for hamsters: Aspen. But to use the same bedding for all rodents, upgrade to paper pases bedding that is unscented. Care fresh or kaytee have this type of bedding.

We stumbled into this shop to explore & had a good time looking at all the animals - fish, birds, small reptiles & rodents. They have a large selection & the place felt friendly. It was a bit messy & smelly, but I guess that’s what you get with a pet store. We didn’t buy anything yet but might be back for some fish.

Very sad reptile keeping. Many territorial animals were housed together and in tanks much too small. Politely asked the employees about the improper husbandry, to which we were told “you don’t know what you are talking about.” If you want proper information or a healthy animal, go somewhere else! Prices were cheap, but you get what you pay for.

First this place cares about fish. I have always been treated nice when visiting has some of the best plants and quality of fish and very reasonable. Jay is a very kind knowledgeable had his store 30 years I have always been treated good.

Hands down the worst service I’ve ever had. I went in looking for some education on a new snake I had purchased there a month before. I had information of my set up and everything to try and figure it out so I could get it right. The owner, Jay was really rude, border line insulting about helping me and me asking questions. He ended up keeping it for three days to see what the problem was and when I went back to get the snake, he refused to give it to me and said he was going to keep it but offered my money back. I explained I wanted to care for the snake and asked to be educated on what the problem was but he said he wouldn’t help me and gave me a check.. bottom line, I would Never recommend anyone shop there(all though I guess you can get your money back.) but especially go there looking for education. Jay will not help you.

i used to work here before moving & decided to visit while i was in the area. Nothing has changed. The animals are still not treated well. Many of their water bowls were disgusting or dried up. The conditions they’re being housed in are dirty. I saw multiple sick animals, snakes with stuck shed, fish showing symptoms of disease. The rodent room smells violently of ammonia, to the point where I would go home with watery eyes & a burning feeling in my nose when I used to have to clean in there. I would not shop here.

This place is ridiculous! i went and purchased a uromastyx from them, well uromastyx are STRICTLY VEGETARIAN!! the girl that helped me said "no they eat crickets and mealworms and lettuce!" Ok.. I let them know again they are strictly vegetarian and to not feed them any feeder bugs! She was very rude to me and insisted they eat feeder insects. My uromastyx died a few weeks later. This place needs to do more research on the animals they sell so they are selling healthy animals. Healthiest one they had! And it was very malnourished!

Jay has a great selection of fishes that won’t cost you what it costs at Petco or PetSmart hands down. What I like most was when I went with my sister today he had new inventory that came in he was honest and said I’m not comfortable of selling them to you cause it’s not acclimated yet come back in a week and I’ll sell them. I love that honesty you don’t get that now a days everyone trying to make that quick buck. Just wanted to sure my experience. Will always comeback here to get more fishes

I’m a first time fish owner and was really nervous because I wanted to do everything right. The employees were so nice and willing to help me. They were able to balance caring for the animals and being attentive to the customers in shop. They were extremely knowledgeable about the different animals and how to care for them. They answered all my questions about the different kinds of fish I should get. The supplies were very low priced and I was able to stay on budget AND walk away with everything I needed! The fish selection was phenomenal and I am extremely happy! I highly recommend this place!!

Great pet store. I've been to multiple other stores in the area and the prices here are unbeatable. The assortment of salt and freshwater fish is the best thing here in my opinion. They have more exotic things such as neocaridina shrimp and discus here at very reasonable prices. The store itself isn't the nicest, but I don't really care about that. The staff are more introverted, but always ask if I need anything when they are close by. Overall great place.
