Oh my goodness, I loved this place. The older gradeschool / middle school section was so well organized and had amazing prices. Clearly they stock quality book choices. I bought a stack for my kids.

Fantastic book store! Kind and friendly staff! Great sales and especially appreciate their birthday gift if you sign up for their text notifications.

a great "little" used book store. the place is actually huge, but it really has that small town feel which is really nice. they keep the place clean and organized and have a wide selection. they also have a good selection of books that in some areas are hard to find. they also have great deals that you can get through their members emails/texts.

The staff are incredibly rude, especially via social media. I never feel welcome, but books are fairly priced and they have new rotations constantly. The worker named Alyssa and whoever runs Instagram are the worst - I hope they move on to other things so I feel comfortable when I need assistance. If you took away the revolting customer service, the store would be five stars.

Pioneer Book is a great place to check out if you're in the area. It's conveniently located on Center street in Provo so it's easy to hop in and out pretty quick and its second floor is a good spot to spend time reading or studying if you're looking for somewhere quiet. The staff here is friendly and pleasant to work with if you need something specific and this is a great place to donate books if you need to slim down your library.Surprisingly, my favorite section of the store was the shelves labeled "decorative." Maybe this is a common used book concept but I had never seen it before and found it a very clever way of making use of extra books that realistically would never sell. Every book in the section is two dollars and they are organized by color so that you can grab some quick pick me ups to fill in your personal library. It's a great way to help your personal library look a little nicer if it's a big part of your home decor.

This place is so cool! There’s a lot of turnover, so if you don’t see something you’re interested in, come back in a week to look again. The books are super cheap, and you can turn in old books for store credit. The staff are super nice too.

Such a cute book shop! I can see why it’s a local favorite! It takes a bit to get a handle on the organization, but the employees are very helpful. My kids loved the kid corner and finding a book for themselves. If you’re in Provo, this is a must-see place!

The decor, ambience, selection, and service are excellent! My wife and I were in the area waiting for a car repair and I'd been wanting to visit Pioneer Book since we moved to Utah Co. The shop is well organized by subjects. Very clean too. I enjoyed looking at the Staff Picks shelves. There is really something for any reading taste and we picked up a basket full. A gem for anyone who is looking for inspiration and a real book to savor!

A phenomenal book store that prioritizes the community of readers. There is no guilt tripping here. Come to read a book, buy a book, meet a friend, attend a workshop, whatever you feel like! I highly recommend Pioneer Book, regardless of if you consider yourself a reader or not. That staff is super friendly and there is something for everyone.

I first patronized this establishment in 1993, when it was at its old location on the south side of Center. The new location has a different feel. Now the store is much better organized and, I believe, has a much less narrow appeal.I've shopped in person and on-line, and I have no complaints, and much praise for these folks! If you are in the neighborhood, drop in. If not, shop online, you'll love it!

Pioneer Book is arguably the best bookstore in Utah County. It's got peaceful vibes, the staff are helpful and kind, and they've got a shockingly large selection for how small it appears from the outside. (First timers take note, don't forget about the upstairs portion, where the classics, young adult, mystery, sci-fi, poetry, memoirs, and a lot more live!) I always find real gems here, and it's easy to request notifications for specific books if they don't currently have them in stock. They've also got a generous rewards program. It feels like I'm cashing out every other time I visit. 10/10, I love Pioneer Book!

A great bookstore! I've ordered some fantastic history books I couldn't get anywhere else. Once, there was a buy one get one deal and, since I'm out-of-state, a staff member let me call in to order and they honored the deal. One of my go-to bookstores! Highly recommend.

I’ve been shopping here since looking for a bargain version of War and Peace for a history class in 2003. Their political history section is my favorite, followed closely by a gem of a children’s book section. The upstairs is fiction happy-place though most of my purchases personally come from the first floor. Fabulous people too.
