This is the worst hospital ever. They don't have any type of understanding of "informed trauma care" Majority of the health care employees are there for just a paycheck. Many have power trips. They break HIPPA so often. They're so disrespectful. I have been seen many times in the ER and have to go to Manti or another hospital to actually figure out my diagnosis. Been so often misdiagnosed at this hospital. I wouldn't allow my worse enemy to be treated at this hospital. If you choose this hospital you are basically wasting your insurance and copay for the constant misdiagnoses. The lack of compassion or respect for the patient.

This was the best emergency room experience I've ever had. I had a bad fall while hiking with concerns for my wrist, chest, head, and ankle. We arrived and had checked in and were taken to a room within a couple minutes. The doctors and nurses were wonderful. They x-rays and CT scan took just a few mintutes, they were gentle, and friendly. The discharge paperwork was clear and understandable. For 3 x-rays, and a CT scan, we were in and out in about an hour and 15 minutes.

I am a truck driver and not from here. I unfortunately ate bad food yesterday and caught food poisoning. I could not keep anything down! It was awful so I told my fiance we should stop so I can get some fluids. They took me right in. No waiting at all. They hooked me up to a IV very quickly and gave me some medication. I felt much better. This was quality care I received here. Thank you to all the nurses and doctor John for taking care of me.

I've been here once, will adamantly refuse to go here again. I don't know what hospital, that has an ER, would literally ignore the client when calling for help. It has happened to me, was here on December 24th 2020 after 80 mph car crash. They call the cab and sent me off when I could not walk. I've asked to be willed outside for a cigarette but they told me to transfer to a chair in the waiting room for several hours while waiting for the cab they called, without even consulting me where I would like to head. They even promise to charge my phone and never did so. They sent me off with nothing to assist me walking, when I couldn't even bear any weight on my left leg, no crutch or cane. I've made complaints to this hospital about it, and they told me it was all within their policy. Didn't know that ignoring a patient's call for help, where they could of fallen and hurt themselves much worse, promising to do something for the patient and not giving them a choice where to go, or a method to be able to get money out or climb the steps to the holiday inn to get a room. I literally had to have my arm around the cab driver to be able to get into a gas station for charger and money to pay him as I couldn't bare any weight on one leg after 80 mph accident. Flying J was more helpful than this hospital, as they actually gave me a cane that allowed me to barely hobble onto a greyhound bus to make it to my Aunt's by Christmas. Seriously would consider going to this place as they literally told me that it was their policy to do those things. IT is pretty bad when the Hospital said those incidents were all under their policy, a policy that will get them sued for malpractice.

The ER department has a biased view on the mentally challenged or people with other types of disabilities such as Autism, blindness,Complex PTSD etc. Multiple times I've been seen there and each time my PTSD was severely triggered once a CNA left a bruise on my bicep because she instead of removing the IV out from the insertion point she grabbed my bicep extremely hard and yanked out the IV by the tubbing. Same CNA when asked why she didn't let the charge nurse know what I had been asking for all night she stated she didn't know who the charge nurse was, I called her on this and proceeded to ask her to leave my room she then crossed her arms and gave a I don't give a crud smile. You can noticed this even though she was wearing a mask. She continues to stay in my room I lost count of how many times I had at first politely asked her to leave, it then caused a meltdown and I began yelling at her to leave the room she still refuse until a male nurse came in and yelled at me not to yell at his CNA. I tried explaining to this male nurse he kept siding w the CNA. On so many other occasions they have no respect for patients that are about to leave this earth. I understand that they need to use humor to cope w trauma but not at the nursing station where patients can heat entire conversation. Another time I was brought into the ER and I was unresponsive when I had awoken in the room a male respiratory technician was trying to raise my shirt I kept pushing him away from me. I had tried to get off the bed but my mobility devices were left at hy. This didn't matter to me because I wanted to be so far away from that male respiratory technician then charge nurse after stating so many times I wanted a female to apply the leads. She instead used a chemical restraint or to knocked me out and I found out after waking up from the injection he applied the leads This injection was so uncalled for because I was not a danger to myself or others and I wasn't in a life threatening or altering state. They forced there authority over me when all they had to do was have the male EKG technician leave and female apply the leads. My CNA that come to my house stated to me that the Dr that was on when other patients that my CNA had taken to the ER the female Dr applied the leads because that patient had asked for a female to apply the leads. This was before I was taken to the ER department. The clients my CNA had taken to the ER. I can continue to state so much more issues w this ER department but this gives a glimpse of how disabled patients are treated

Our family was in a high speed head on collision, 4/5/2015. Four of us were brought there by ambulance. The doctor was thorough, attended us quickly, ordered appropriate tests and treatment. He was very kind, especially to the child involved. The on call radiologist and radiology staff were competent and compassionate. The nurses went beyond the call of duty. Our car was demolished and no rental cars were available. So, they bought us a Subway dinner and arranged a private transport for us back to Salt Lake City. The hospital administration cooperated with out of state insurance companies and the radiology department recently sent me a copy of a report in a very timely fashion. We thank God for their great care and will never forget their kindness.

A motorcycle accident in Capital Reef resulted in a badly broken shoulder for my wife. We were transported by ambulance to Sevier Valley ER. The emergency room staff was excellent and provided immediate care. Luckily there are excellent orthopedic surgeons at the hospital . A successful operation followed performed by Dr. Evenson and Dr Zeluff. A hospital stay followed surgery. Everyone we encountered, nurses, housekeeping and even cafeteria staff were more than attentive. A bad situation was made made bearable by the five star care we received. Many thanks to everyone

They are expanding the ER and hospital so the limited rooms at the emergency room which makes waiting to be seen will hopefully be fixed. The staff were all very nice! Certainly not a big city hospital but not bad for only ER around.
