i come here all the time for crickets and worms/roaches for my leopard gecko, they always have a good selection of what i need and the staff is always super friendly. they keep their live insects well too, ive been to a few other locations and usually their feeder insects for sale are all dead, but not here thankfully. shoutout to opal and maddie for helping me at my last visit as well, roger is very satisfied with their service!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Every time I go to Petco there is dead fish in tanks and I don’t know why I am still dumb enough to buy fish cause every time I do almost all the fish I buy pass away. I know it is not my fault because I do all the steps to ensure that the fish should be healthy for I have owned fish my whole life. When I have informed the employees about the dead fish in their tanks they tell me oh no and remain to leave them in there. I wouldn’t suggest getting fish or any animals. Cause they don’t know what they are talking about.

Bought a dog bed for $7. Rang up as $22. Seems employees put xs beds in the xxs clearance space. I was in a hurry and not paying attention so I spent way more than I wanted to, but that’s what I get for not paying attention. Still, seems deceitful or sloppy of the employees.

I regularly stop at this Petco over the last few years. I’ve seen faces come and go, and I’ve seen the care quality vary. Charity & Valerie are absolutely amazing! I hope they stay with this location for a long time. If it was up to me, I’d say they deserve a higher wage because I adore them every time I stop in. They’re experienced and answer others questions well, make great conversation, and I’ve even seen improvement in the animal care. I thought of switching to online sources for feeder insects, but I honestly can’t imagine doing so now. They’re the heart of this location and they do it effortlessly.

Horrible horrible. Took my bearded dragon to their “vet” for a respiratory infection just for them to clear him and say he’s “all good” 2 days later, he died in my hands. I called Riverdale petco crying demanding answers from the vet and all I got was “sorry this happened. We can refund you but since he was in our possession during the vet visit, we aren’t obligated to tell you anything.” This was my BABY. These people DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PETS. THEY ARE IN IT FOR MONEY AND EXTREMELY UNDER EDUCATED. DO NOT SUPPORT. I would’ve given them -5 stars if I could.
Absolutely heartbroken.
EDIT: Just heard back from the vet. “Wasatch Hollow” and he was in fact sick, and had recommended treatments that petco all declined and then lied to me saying he had a clear bill of health. Then when I call back, they referred me to their legal team. Dirty group of individuals that run this.
