Extremely disappointed with my experience. Online, H&R Block advertised that tax filing would cost around $80, but when everything was completed, I was shocked to be charged $270 — more than triple what was advertised. That alone felt misleading.
But it got worse. I paid the exact amount H&R Block told me to pay to the IRS on 4/7, well before the April deadline. Yet not long after, I received a notice from the IRS that I was being penalized for failure to pay estimated taxes. I double-checked and confirmed I followed H&R Block’s instructions exactly.
When I called to get help, the rep said there was nothing he could do and that I'd just have to keep calling back until I reached someone at the local office. Honestly, who has time for that?
Bottom line: I paid way more than expected and now I'm being penalized for mistakes that were not mine. I will never use H&R Block again. Stay away.

Amazing help as always!!! We have had our taxes done for years here. Our first professional Pat helped make our experience above our expectations later Rachael Rose took over for us and has been just as good as Pat. We still love seeing Pat while working with Rachael. We will continue to use H&R Block every year.

We had such a great experience working with our HnR representative! She's always super friendly, helpful, and quick!
