If you're one of the first customers of the day, beware of mediocre customer service from Jodi and the team. I wanted to do a return a few minutes after ULTA opened. The only cashier on duty didn't not know how to process a gift card, return, exchange etc. She only knew how to ring up items. I was asked to step to the side. About 3 customers were served ahead of me and since Jodi said she would assist me, I asked when I was going to be helped. Jodi rolled her eyes before helping me and was sarcastic the whole time. I usually have a decent experience at this store but today was disappointing. Sorry!

I came in yesterday and was having issues with my card and couldn’t purchase my items. The 2 girls working at the register were being so nice. I came in today to get those items . Those same girls where there and recognized me and were being so sweet and helpful and asked if i was able to figure everything out.

I went yesterday to make a purchase and for my birthday gift I took a photo of the coupon to have it ready and the employee couldn't scan it and she told me to go to the application and I couldn't find it the coupon so I told her that if she knew where it was, she kind of got upset. and I didn't apply my discount coupon either, I she have an attitude Cashier name Briana

The store was quite a bit unorganized with a lot of stuff just shoved in places that customers were too lazy to put back in the correct spots so it made is seem like they were out of stock of a lot of items. The store also seemed very understaffed. They only had one cashier which caused there to be a decent size line and it took us a bit of time to find what seemed like the only other employee working to help us find the shampoo we needed.

I had gone to other ultas for help on my return and had been getting the run around basically by every person I talked to. The only one that was actually trying to help me was Vanessa who was so kind and patient. She had gone out of her way several times and made sure I was taken care of me. I can't thank her enough and I will shop here from now on and ask for her every time.

I am a current customer at this Ulta. The last few times I have been in, the management had been AWFUL. As per previous visits, Jodi, I think was her name, has been very fake with how she talks to customers and employees.
Vanessa, has ZERO customer service etiquette. She has an attitude and does not speak to kindly to customers.
They are also VERY pushy for the credit cards when NO one can pay for rent and groceries in this day and age. I think it is ridiculous to push credit cards onto customers after we have already said no.
I have also noticed how dirty and unsanitary the store is. It makes me want to take my business elsewhere. Put your consumers first and treat your employees better.

Booked with Gabi for a bob haircut and had told her the last time I had asked for a sharp bob elsewhere I received a very uneven disappointing cut. She took a lot of time making sure I didn’t have that happen again and really got a nice precise cut that I am super happy with. She was also very fun to talk to. Overall fantastic service from her that definitely needs to be acknowledged.

TLDR; Don’t come here to get your hair done if you have dark colored hair, expect rude service from the salon manager and to be banned if you’re dissatisfied ?
I stopped shopping at Ulta entirely since this because of how I was treated by the salon manager. Oh and don’t you dare tell them what level of blonde you want because that’s knowing too much ?
I called and scheduled a consult and when I went in I showed the stylist what I wanted. I was already blonde, I just wanted to bring the blonde up since it had grown out and to make it a little ashier. She was extremely confident that she could do it. She was one of the most experienced stylists so I trusted her. I told her I did not want any orange in my hair, and I told her my hair pulls orange since it’s dark. I had a beautiful blonde color a few months before, so I know what is possible for my hair. Unfortunately my hair it turned out very very orange. She offered to redo it, so I went back a few weeks later to correct it, but the top of my hair still ended up orange and the highlights around my face were uneven when I had my hair pulled back. In the pictures you can see how the thickness of the highlights don’t match after the first session; and in the second session, one side has an extremely bright highlight and the other side doesn’t. I had to spend money and time fixing it myself since I wasn’t allowed to go back and see another stylist.
I called in a few days after and the salon manager Vanessa was extremely rude to me. She immediately got defensive and said that during the consultation I was told that the results wouldn’t be like what I wanted. SHE WASN’T EVEN AT THE CONSULTATION and that was NEVER mentioned to me, so she was lying immediately to put the blame on me. I wanted my hair fixed, but instead she banned me and offered me half a refund. When I went in to get my half refund I asked her to clarify her statement over the phone when she initially banned me, and of course Vanessa wouldn’t say those words, she said “there’s no one here to meet your needs and I won’t have anyone who can” rather than saying I’m banned, but that’s exactly what she meant. Vanessa was clearly intimidated by the fact that I had *minimal* hair color knowledge. She also accused me of colluding with someone I know who is a stylist, in order to express my dissatisfaction. Mind you that person never had anything to do with this, and still doesn’t. Vanessa was also upset that I knew exactly what I wanted, and what toner colors I wanted. During my correction, I did tell them what toner shades I wanted because my hair was a MUCH darker blonde the first time; obviously the second time around I am going to be more assertive in what I want since it didn’t go right the first time. She said I wasn’t letting the stylist be creative. It’s MY hair, I should get what I want, not what someone thinks I should get, especially after not getting right the first time.
I won’t name the stylist because I do think she was a nice person, despite what Vanessa said the stylist said about me when I called in the last time. I truly will give her the benefit of the doubt.
The stylist also ruined my jacket with bleach the first session, though the general manager was nice enough to give me a gift card to cover the cost.

Great products. Great choices. The service, however, was anything but great. When the sales associate (I use that term generously) decided to pay attention to the queue, which was quite considerable, I was the next in line. She was borderline pleasant until I told her that I wasnt interested in signing up for their rewards program. She snapped back saying I couldnt get a refund unless I signed up (seriously Ulta?). She then finished my transaction and slapped my receipt in my hand. Transaction done. No eye contact. No thanks. No attempt at the upsell, i.e. "maybe we can win you over in the future to make you want to sign up for the rewards." Maybe she was cross that there was a long queue in the checkout line and while sales associates were aplenty, none seemed interested in helping her and the one other who was helping customers. I'd like to believe that for her sake but I'm fairly sure that wasnt the case. Now before people think I'm complaining just to complain, not the case. I've been in sales, marketing, advertising and customer service for many years. A smile or thank you will keep customers coming, far more than thinking a shiny store will do it.

Unfortunately, I no longer shop here after frequent visits for a while because of how I was treated by more than one person in a single visit. I put all my planned purchases back and have never returned. I think it's sad because others were kind and helpful in past visits. Different is not bad. I started going to Sephora and other places where I have been treated kindly and with respect.
