Their food Mart had no actual food aside from chips and candy.
The girl behind the counter was actively trying to pressure me to buy cigarettes out of nowhere even though I told her several times I don't smoke.
Then she got weirdly personal with me in a very uncomfortable way.
Really really unprofessional.
I don't know what game this place is trying to play but I'm out.

I haven't often been declined for attempting debit transactions at shell gas stations. Most will approve any spending, even if there's less than a dollar on my account. My experience tonight at this Shell location on 1900 west was quite different. I attempted to pay outside, thinking that because my debit card had over 50 dollars on my account, and would therefore be approved. It was declined due to "insufficient funds." Normally when a transaction is declined or canceled at ANY gas station, I will wait for 1 or 2 minutes and my funds are returned to my card, and I can purchase my fuel inside the station. This was not the case tonight. My account was drained of all funds, and the transaction was declined because I didn't have 75 dollars in my account. I waited a few minutes in my car for my money to be returned. When the transaction hadn't been canceled at my bank. I entered the store to see if there was a problem, or how the situation might be resolved. The clerk told me there was nothing more to do, I would have to wait for the funds to be returned by my bank. Most gas stations require a minimum of 50 dollars to approve a payment at the pump. This problem could have been avoided, if there was a requirement of noting the minimum amount that should be in an account to approve a card to be charged at a pump. ESPECIALLY if it is different from other gas stations of the same brand or otherwise. I may now have to wait 7 BUSINESS DAYS for the pending charge to be reversed. This is unacceptable, and has caused me to avoid this particular location moving forward. Times are hard right now, and not returning declined funds with in a few minutes, or even the same hour could be preventing a customer from providing a meal for themselves and their family. Something should be done to help avoid these issues moving forward.

Find another gas station! The gas price increased 4 cents while I was pumping! And the gas price was also 20centes higer than has stations in the area.

I just got gas here, horrible because it didn’t even stop when it needed to stop. Gas seriously starting coming out of my car. That is very dangerous. Horrible experience

Absolute dump. Avoid this place. Gas prices are much higher, the place is dirty, I waited for 3-4 min for someone to check me out and they just did their own thing and didn't even acknowledge my presence....there are PLENTY other gas stations less than .5 mi from here...

So seems my last review of this place was only able to be seen by a few. So I'll redo it. I love this store and all but one person of the staff. She is a heavy set girl with long red hair. She is always rude. Seems angry at the world and takes it out towards customers and a couple times co-workers when I have gone in during one of their shift changes or if one came into the store. I have had my own issues with her including her saying she wouldn't cash my out on the game machines without a tip. I refuse to return to this store if she is working there any longer. Her horrible attitude is uncalled for and the fact that she waits till her co-workers have left to have her boyfriend that is not employed there and her young daughter under 14 do her job including the stocking of alcohol. I feel bad for her co-workers and feel that if she isn't removed that the store risks being shut down costing them their jobs. I have spoke to a couple employees that work there and it seems the manager and owner aren't going to do anything about it. This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed.
