I typically rent a car from Hertz but given the daily rent offered online I though I would look around for a better deal. I found Affordable Rent A Car who was close to half the cost. I tend to be very skeptical on deals that look too good to be true. I was blown away how easy and customer friendly the staff was. I didn't have to wait for the shuttle from the airport. They were at the curb waiting for me and my family. Checking out took no time at all. The car we rented was very nice, clean and ran great. Returning the car was just as easy. We didn't have to move our bags. Someone from the rental company drove us in the same car to the airport. On top of that my son left his phone in the car and didn't realize right away. We called and they drove his phone back to the airport for us. Five Stars is not a high enough rating. Affordable Rent a Car is the only place I will rent from when visiting Salt Lake City. Thank you for providing great service. I love the fact you are a locally owned company as well.

When we picked up the car, we were told there was a grace period for returning on time, but the agent would not define that precisely. The windshield wiper was destroyed, requiring me to replace the wipers mid-trip, and I had to fill the wiper-fluid reservoir. We called several times the morning of the return to find what the precise return time needed to be and no one answered our calls. We were charged for an extra day and when I called to ask why I was told it was returned too late. The agent said if it was returned within 1.5-2 hrs. they would work with us--we returned the car 1 hr. and 40 minutes late, which is within that window. The shuttle returns you to the farthest reaches of the rental area, not to the departure doors of the airport.To sum up: we put an extra $30 into the wipers because their condition was unacceptable for winter driving, we tried to get a precise answer for allowable return time and were unable, then we were charged for an extra day when we returned the car within the window the agent later said was acceptable. Not a good experience.

Great experience renting a car from this family owned business! They were very fast to pick us up from the airport and take us back on our return. Way better pricing than renting from the large companies at the airport. And they are located very close to the airport. 100% recommend renting from this business! The car was very clean and ready to go for us upon arrival.

This place operates so weird, so if your local and could provide repeat business they want to screw you with a higher deposit, 150 milage per day min and for some reason you have to provide a utility bill to rent a car?? I have never heard of this in my life and I have rented many vehicles usually for holiday travel to avoid putting excess miles on our vehicles. The lady on the phone was nice however your operating procedures seem to need some work. I guess if your out of town this company might be ok but locals I would avoid this place as they clearly don't want your business

Car was beat up from outside and had some wear/tear and dirty spots inside.They don’t give you instructions how to get there from the airport.Car fee isn’t for 24hrs. The customer service isn’t greatwith new customers. Won’t rent through them again. Do not recommend.

Rented through Expedia. Location is 7 minutes away from airport, which there was no mention of. Had to take a small shuttle van that we had to wait 10 minutes for, along with a long walk to their pick up location. Our car was at least 10 years old and has 60,000 miles on it. There were too many scratches and dents to count; windshield also had a large chip in it. They are also closed on weekends so will charge you a $25 fee to drop off at another separate lot and take a different shuttle to the airport. After all, it would have been the same price to walk up to a rental car at the airport rental car lot and pick out my own practically new rental car. Very disappointed in this one.

Poorly maintained vehicles and terrible customer service; maybe useful for local travel, certainly not for venturing far from SLC. The car’s AC failed after one hour, there was no perceptible difference between high and low beams, the car was dispatched with half a tank of gas, and the tire pressure warning was on. This made a multi-hour trip very difficult to and through national parks. What is worse, they actually thought we did not know how to push the button to turn on the AC. Unbelievable. Upon return, we were forced to leave the car at the airport since their return hours did not match the rental website and their gate was closed. Even when we followed their after-hours return instructions, they did not know where to find the car and called us several days later. This was definitely the worst car rental experience ever.

This was just right for our self-guided tour of several beautiful parks in Utah. The staff was extremely helpful and kind and we would use them again. 5 stars for sure.

We were in SLC for the 2023 YLEO convention at Salt Palace, and decided to rent a car for a road trip to YSNP (Yellowstone), after compare rates and reviews of all the car rental companies we decided to go with this local small company.Pros: 1. It’s a local company. 2. they have two locations (off-airport and Downtown). 3. 200 miles per day allowance. 4. Walk around your vehicle before and after. 5. Quick service, 5 minutes for pickup and return. 6. 7-day rate is half the other companies. 7. Friendly staff, 8. Return ride to Airport in your rental. 9. Well maintained cars an SUVs. 10. Don’t try to sell you adds on you don’t need.Cons: Only Monday to Friday.Bottom line: this will be our rental company for our yearly convention at SLC.

I had checked with other rentals when I landed in SLC and unfortunately no cars were available until I spoke with Heather and sold me on a sweet minivan, to be honest I wasn’t a fan of minivans but not anymore! So spacious and comfortable to drive in! Their service was amazing and really took care of me. Perfect for my time there and I also want to thank Johnny and Jordan on talking to me about another few places to hike! Definitely recommend these lovely people and for sure I will be seeing them again when I visit! Thank you guys so much!!

!!WARNING!! !!WARNING!! !!WARNING!!Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. People who call themselves “Managers”, hang up on customers who ask too many questions about the sudden cancellation of the rental cars they have purchased. Will never use again and will WARN everyone I know not to use them.!!WARNING!! !!WARNING!! !!WARNING!!They stole my money! Refused to give me my car. Kept my payment. I reserved a over a month in advance. The manager Jason told me my car was canceled, that if I wanted my money back I had to get it back though Expedia, when in the real case it was Economy car Rental who was withholding my payment and lying to Expedia that it wasn’t cancelled when telling me it was. Shady company!!

Not recommended! Terrible communication. I spoke to a manager about my reservation being canceled a day after making it. I was told that the car could not be taken farther than 500 miles. This is stated no where in the policy, and when you click on the policy is says nothing is available on their page. I pointed this out to the female manager, who was very rude, told me she would charge me $500 extra for this if I didn't like it and then hung up on me. If I could rate it 0 Stars, I would.
