I had a really great experience renting with Alamo last weekend. My flight got in 30 min. late and I didn't get to the rental car counter until 1am. I was worried the desk would be closed since it looked like all counters were closed, but luckily Alamo/National had plenty of employees that were still in their offices and they rushed out to help my friend and I when they saw us walk up to the counter. We had a reservation, so it was really speedy to get our paperwork and get down to grab the car.When we went down the escalator to get our car, Spencer was waiting for us with a big smile. He was honestly such a pleasure to work with all evening and upon our return a couple days later too. He checked our papers, grabbed our keys, and walked to our car with us. When it was time to leave the garage with the car, every single gate was closed so no one could leave. Thankfully, Spencer was still around so he was able to unlock the gate to let us leave. He wore many hats that evening!The car was great, we had no issues with it, and it was super easy to return. It was really busy and packed when we returned Sunday evening, but we were happily greeted by Spencer again. Because he was so quick and efficient, we were able to drop off the car in record time without any hassle.All the employees here were really friendly and helpful, I recommend renting from Alamo in SLC.

I booked for the basic model of SUV and the representative at the counter asked if I would like any upgrade, and I said no. Once I went to the garage to pick up the car, the staff at the garage asked me to “choose from one of the SUVs in these slots”, so I picked a Nissan Rogue not knowing that it would be an upgrade. After I loaded all of my 5 bags into the car, the staff then told me there’s a $15/day extra fee for the Nissan Rogue I was driving. It felt very pushy and sneaky how they were forcing an upgrade. I didn’t want to unload and reload all of my luggage since I was traveling alone. The sales tactic really put me off. I travel frequently to SLC and will not be renting from Alamo again.

The Accelerated Check-in was a game changer. I did all of the paperwork online before the trip, so when I got to the rental area I could skip the counter entirely and just go to the parking garage to choose a car in the category I’d paid for. No one tried to upsell me on unnecessary fuel prepaid charges, insurance, etc., which was very refreshing. I was out of the garage in 10 minutes.Also, returning the car was easy, with no surprises. Just good service all around. I had recently had a very bad experience renting from Thrifty in the SLC airport, so this restored some of my faith in the industry. I will gladly rent from Alamo again.

Renting from Alamo at the SLC airport was the best rental car experience I've ever had. At pickup, the team member in the garage was extremely helpful and kind. The car I chose was immaculate — felt like it had a full detail done on it. On return, the process was very smooth and quick. Highly recommend choosing Alamo in SLC.

Their was a line when I checked in at the counter. First time I went straight to the cars and skipped the counter. That went slick, I will do that in the future. All went well with rental.

Alamo is the best car rental service. Customer service is tops! Get off plane go to car you want drive to the kyosk and within 5 mins I'm on the road.

Very simple with quick service and short/no lines when we arrived in Salt Lake City. Drop off was easy and multiple people ask if everything was good and if we needed anything as we dropped off the car.

The "skip" the counter does not work. It is a joke. Takes much much longer using this terrible feature then actually going to the counter.
