I have been here numerous times, have made purchases, and came back today to show a client. We were left to wander then were asked three times by Caroline if we had questions. It felt a bit pushy which is not the norm in this gem of an antique shop.

The owner was so gracious and everyone made you feel welcome. No intimidation. They answered any questions and were so helpful if you wanted to see anything up close. Highly recommend. Made our day very enjoyable.

Good Minerva Teichert exhibit. Enjoyed Anthony’s efforts to show one of my favorite artists.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Anthony’s and were fortunate to find two wonderful pieces that have now found a special place in our home. Looking forward to a return trip to discover new finds and enjoy Anthony’s top notch customer service.

Some absolutely amazing antiques. I felt more like I was walking into a museum

This antique store has a more impressive inventory than many art museums. Stop in sometime for a pleasant and educational discussion about art, sculpture, and the finer things of life. And take a deep breath of the rarified air in this delightful place!

Just went there for the last time. They have some beautiful items but they’re so snobby. The woman they have at the desk as you come in is condescending and not friendly. It’s not the first time by any stretch. Upstairs I opened doors on a cabinet where they were already ajar. When I closed them again I put the wrong one first and had to reopen them to put them together correctly. I’m 5 years old with a zero on the end, but she came flying upstairs, asked if I needed anything and proceeded to tell me that if anything needed to be opened they would need to do it. I had been very gentle. It was a big oak cabinet. I was not exactly going to break it. I’ve seen her do this with other people before. Just don’t enjoy shopping where my presence is clearly an annoyance so I’ll take my business elsewhere.

We’ve been coming here for years and have always been treated kindly and with respect. Everything is museum quality and beautifully displayed.

What a great antique store of the best collection! You can tell they have high standards and the only thing I need to worry about is the budget. Bought my first antique fine jewelry here. Fell in love with this ring right away. Caroline was super friendly and helpful

Rude gentleman chesed me and my children out. We hadn't touched anything and were discussing what we wanted and were not inside for more than 2 minutes before being treated very aggressively by the large 80year old man that kept saying he was 80 and we have to keep my kids extremely close. I'm pretty sure none of my 3 kids touched or said anything. The girl at the front door was warm and welcoming but the obese gentleman left a horrible impression of the place. It's a shame because the stuff appeared wonderful. The 80 year old guy( he kept saying he was 80 ) had given us a wa welcome and invited us to enjoy and shop. As we began gping up the stairs the 80 year old man yelled at me to keep the kids closer to me. I thi k they were holding the railing to go upstairs. I think he confused himself for something important. What a shame. I came to shop. I feel like the i0 year old ruined a nice time to show he could. No other reason. None of my children had touched anything. We followed the rules. He followed us to let us know he didn't want us there. If ypu go there just avoid the 80 year old. He may have forgotten to be kind to customers. Maybe he just doesn't want my business. I dont know what we did but he wanted us gone. Maybe you'll have better luck. I was just chased away as he yelled at me and my children to leave. That was terrible. My 15 year old daughter is crying because of the unprovoked chase that just occurred. We are sitting in the car trying to understand why he did that. Ok enough tine from me. I will never recommend that place to anyone. Not worth the time. Hopefully you'll have better luck. Hopefully the 80 year old does better with you. I dont know why that just happened. I'm done shopping after that guy ruined the fun. I'm really disappointed in his behavior. It was unwarranted and unnecessary and weird.

It’s been less than 24 hours since my first of what will be many visits. I’ve already shared my wonder and experience with four people. That may not seem like many but that’s all I’ve spoken to in the last day.
Anthony’s is a treasure trove of history, carefully curated, represented through art and artifacts. I can’t wait to return!!

Horrible experience the beauty of the items post shadowed by the toxic words to the guest from the Jabberwocky as we asked a question.
