Booked a very last minute five-night trip out to the Arches (stopping at the Albion Basin on the way). Communication was clear and quick, and booking the van was straightforward. We rented baby blue, which was equipped with the basics, nothing fancy, which is just what we needed. Matt was extremely helpful with getting us setup for our trip, our first in the country. We stayed at some BLM campsites along the Colorado river as Matt suggested, as well as some paid campsites when we needed showers. Water storage, cooking kit, fridge were great. When it was hot at night we cracked the back door open and had the fan running. Thanks for the top notch service, Matt!

Thanks to Basecamper Vans, our family had one of the best vacations ever. The owner is easy to deal with. He met our requests and needs without hesitation. The vehicle and equipment worked without any problems and provided us with a sufficiently comfortable background for traveling around NPs. Thank you Matt!

We rented Baby Blue for 9 days and toured mainly around SE Utah staying at both campgrounds and dispersed sites. The van worked out well - easy to drive and handled all roads well. Top features were the comfy mattress and fridge (post-hike cool drinks on a hot day!). The stove top worked as advertised and came with a 2-burner stove as well. We rented the cook kit which is fully kitted out for 4 people. The only downside was no curtains for the back windows, but only an occasional issue at developed campsites. The rental process was easy and we appreciated the communication beforehand! We would rent again if we do this again. Thanks!

Basecamper vans provided unparalleled service and quality on our 2 week adventure. Matt Wolski took care of each detail and offered additional items. The service was clear and there were no hidden fees. The van itself presented Matt's exceptional design and carpentry work (rivaling a CNC machine itself). I would recommend Basecamper vans for anyone looking to do some van campin' adventurin' !!

My family booked a van with Basecamper Vans for a camping trip in Arches National Park. Our van (the Highlander) was super comfortable. I was worried the rooftop tent may not be comfortable for sleeping, but it was great. I actually slept better in there than I do in my own bed! We opted for some accessories, including the kitchen cook kit and shower bag. The shower bag was nice to have since our campsite did not offer showers, and the kitchen cook kit came with everything we needed to cook and eat during our trip. We went over our mileage in the rental, and I can happily say that we were comfortable in the van during every bit of our driving. If you are looking to rent a van, I highly recommend using Basecamper Vans!

Really great rental experience. I rented a van for a 2 week cycling and hiking trip in southern UT. Super easy to get to from the airport and owners were easy to work with for coordinating around my flights. Overall the flexibility of having a van and the amenities in the van were absolutely above expectations.

My wife and I rented a skyline campervan from BaseCamper Vans over spring break. Booking and working with the owners in the months before the vacation was great. They were responsive and professional. The Skykline Campervan was fantastic. The van was expertly outfitted, clean and highly maintained. The Skyline is a sweet camper for two adults. We will definitely rent from BaseCamper vans in the future.I chose BaseCamper vans over other Salt Lake City van companies because I observed their pricing to be more transparent. BaseCamper vans looked more expensive at first, but after looking at mileage and insurance, BaseCamper vans was just being more transparent upfront. I did some minor damage to the van on the trip, went over my estimated mileage, and returned it short on gas. The charges to my deposit were more than fair. Our thanks to the owners of BaseCamper Vans. The camper was a big part of a great vacation.

While we chose not to use Basecamper Vans…. We will for sure use them in the future! For our upcoming trip to Utah in June, we were unsure the route we wanted to take. Rent a camper van and camp? Or rent a car and stay at Air BnB’s? We chose the latter this time…. But my correspondence with Matt from Basecamper Vans was so positive and professional, the next time we come, they will be our first call. He was punctual on returning quotes, and answering any questions I had. He also reached back out for feedback when I had expressed we were going a different route, asking politely if I would share why… so they can make any necessary changes going forward. You can tell they care about their business, and patrons!

These guys are awesome!!! Hands down. They installed windows, a propane system and a full size shade for an incredibly reasonable price on my Mercedes Sprinter Van. I would highly recommend this shop if you have a van that needs an upfit, or an enhancement from a current build!!

My wife and I rented a Ridgeline van for a week in October. Our experience was a mix of good and bad. The Good: The van was easy to drive, got good gas mileage, saved us from paying hotels in Moab, and pickup and drop off was easy. The bad: 1)We had a bad interaction with Matt pre-trip (You have to sign an agreement pre-trip and when I questioned the amount, which was incorrect, Matt took offense and actually suggested I rent a van elsewhere). 2)The Ridgeline is VERY SMALL (and my wife and I are small people) and the van's not outfitted very well for camping. When the bed is set up (which is likely how it'll be if you don't want to wrestle with it each day), there is zero floor space for shoes and luggage. We stowed our luggage in the front seat each night - a pain. When you need any camping gear you need to dig under the bed, and because there's no sliding drawer under the bed you have to tunnel on hands and knees under the bed for gear that slides around. You cannot recline the front seats, or even push them back (bed's in the way). There is no hanging netting or shelves (even my backpacking tent has mesh pockets to stow keys, wallet and headlamp at night, but not this van). 3)Bring warm sleeping bags because the van gets cold at night (limited insulation). 4)Pre-trip we got the insurance so the van would be covered for damage but discovered when we picked up the van that the insurance covers NOTHING on the van! (Only personal liability, which most people already have through their own car insurance.) Every windshield ding is counted and you will be charged for every new one you pick up in the course of driving! Luckily we didn't get any but we were nervous. 5)You're not given enough miles to cover minimal driving in one week to 2 national parks (Arches and Canyonlands). We thought this was petty, as each mile over is .35/mile. We drove minimally and still incurred $40 in extra charges. So all in all, a mixed bag. If we had known this ahead of time we honestly would've made other plans so we wouldn't recommend to a friend. Hope this helps you in your decision!

I spent nearly $20,000 getting my van built by these people. I was given a dog by Matt, one of the owners. Apparently his girlfriend, Jen, didn't approve of me having this dog so they attempted to destroy my life. They called police who went to my ex-wife's house and harassed me with police calls while I was on a trip to Oregon. Beware of Matt and Jen if you're going to do any business with basecamper vans. Nothing is out of bounds of what Matt and Jen are willing to do to anyone. My trust in basecamper vans was completely destroyed. None of these people have even bothered to apologize. I thought they were in the van business but I learned the hard way they are actually in the DOG BUSINESS. What I spent with them mattered nothing. Worst business experience of my life.

Took an 8 day road trip around Utah with this campervan. We rented the chevy express 2500.Pros:1. Gets you from point A to point B.2. The yeti cooler is excellent.3. Air Conditioner was great.Cons:1. One of the stove knobs was broken.2. Roof fan didn't work, and the cap can not be opened because it is blocked by the roof tent3. Almost every hour the stabilitrak would stop working (this helps stabilize side to side movement of the vehicle)4. Terrible suspension even going over the smallest bumps.5. No curtains for the windows, so don't plan on having any privacy.6. Traction is not good, so don't plan on going on gravel or dirt roads much. This cannot handle much more than a flat road. Not necessarily a con, but be ready to pay a minimum of $55/day for gas if you are driving a lot. Also if you plan on driving over 1,000 miles you get charged per mile and even more for over 1,500 miles.

It was great working with Basecamper Vans to get a Fiamma awning. I'd recommend going through them.

A friend and I planned a spontaneous trip to Utah in 3 weeks from now and wanted to rent a van but unfortunately we had some last minute change-of-plans and had to cancel our rental. We emailed the company and explained our situation and within minutes they got back to us and gave us a full refund. Big thank you and shout to Matt for getting back to us so quickly and being lenient with the return policy. We can’t wait to use one of these awesome vans for our camp trip in Utah in the near future. Thank you basecamper vans in Utah! One Love

Matt is fantastic to work with! I was so stoked to go on a trip to zion in the ridgeline van. Matt was incredibly prompt in sending the quote and updating it with out changing trip and was incredibly professional! Unfortunately we had a family emergency come up and he was incredibly understanding. Cannot wait to use them when we are out in Utah again! Shout out Matt!
