My sisters and I enjoyed our visit to this walk up eatery next to Pioneer Park. The sauces they offer on the burger and as fries dip are creative, extensive, and all that we tried were so tasty. The bacon they have is a must try! Thick and brawny! Serious bacon! The waffles are excellent too. But the fries are what you can't miss. They're real fresh potatoes double fried. Amazing fries!! Staff was also fun and playful. Fun place!

The food was good, but not great. The croque was surprisingly weak in flavor. The machine gun sandwich was a little more flavorful but impossible to eat.

I can not stress this enough when I say that this is the best waffle place I have ever been to. We ordered a bunch of chicken and waffles, and they were great. From the presentation to the texture, everything was immaculate. The waffles were the perfect texture and had a good flavor. The chicken was juicy and perfectly complimented the sweet syrup, which was real syrup, by the way. The breading on the chicken was really crispy, too. The only downside was that it was a tiny shop and you had to eat outside, which wasn't very pretty because it was downtown. Great place.Parking: It wasn't very easy to find parking, but we found a way.

We were early for a tour and needed breakfast. Stopped here and had eggs and waffles. Excellent breakfast. A hole in the wall type of place. Only outdoor seating. But it was a nice day for breakfast outside.

Owner is such a happy, kind and hard-working individual. Was pleased to meet him. We got the Torpedo waffle and added strawberries and raspberries. This spot is always busy. So happy to see this place thriving! Would love to see one in Phoenix.

Decided to stop in while doing the touristy stuff. The very berry waffle was AMAZING!! Waffle topped with berries & Biscoff. So sweet you can skip the syrup. Ordered inside then sat outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. 5 star staff with quick service.

In my opinion, I’ve had better waffles. It was a little too sweet and crunchy (like I was crunching on the sugar granules) - plus for portion:price ratio was waaaaay off.It was okay, but not a place I’ll be going back to

Stumbled in to this place because it was close to my hotel and believe it or not being in SLC I was nursing a pretty wicked hangover even with their fake baby beers and tiny vodka pours. The waffles are amazing just like you are in Bruges. Service is fast and friendly. There is no indoor seating so know that before heading there. They do have outside seating but I am not sure how that will work during the winter. The homeless outbursts and screaming from the park were an added bonus in my mind. Free entertainment.

Fantastic! I love this place. Food is flavorful, filling, and unique. The sweet waffles are a great treat.Service is counter order the come pickup when you’re called.Atmosphere is outside seating only, on the sidewalk next to the street.The street is pretty quiet. Sat out here with my dog.I always hit up Bruges when I’m in SLC.Vegetarian options: desserts and frites without meat are available.Dietary restrictions: able to make substitutions.Parking: Street parking only. Parking is pretty available, but can get busy.Kid-friendliness: 100% kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Front door might be difficult to get in and out of. But it’s ordering only. All dining is outside.

I fly a through Salt Lake City Utah a lot and when I have a layover, I always stop at Bruges for a waffle. The waffle with strawberries and whipped cream or just a plain waffle is the only thing I ever order so I cannot review anything but these items. These are NOT what Americans consider waffles. These are Belgian Liege waffles--a yeast leavened waffle that has pearl sugar in the dough. The result is a sturdy and sweet waffle that has a sort of melted sugar-glazed sweetness to them. I either order them plain or with the strawberries and whipped cream on the side. I eat my waffle plain then have the strawberries and cream as a dessert for the dessert. :-). Oh, and please know that they use real whipped cream and not that spray can stuff folks try to pass off as whipped cram. (There is a time and place for spray can whipped cream but the real stuff is quite the delicious splurge and pairs nicely with these waffles.)Bruges is the real deal. It tastes nearly just as good as the Belgian waffles I have eaten in Belgium. Stop at Bruges. Please keep them in business because I would be sad if I had a layover in SLC and couldn't get my fix!Yummmmm

What they did, they did well. If you're looking for steak frites or Moules-frites, it's not here. This is a bistro. Their bread was fresh on the burgers. The frites were pretty good, but the best thing were their sauces. In Belgium there are SO MANY delicious sauces to have with your frites. Unfortunately, It's next to impossible to find anything similar here in the U.S. and there's not really any recipes on line. This tiny bistro made their own Andalouse and Samurai sauces- both are favorites of ours- and they were ON POINT! The owner is from Belgium and made his own recipes. They were just as we remembered them to be from Belgium. Since they can't be found here, we splurge occasionally and order jarred frite sauces from a Belgian importer- they're good, but expensive to ship. So I would recommend coming here and trying this chef's frite sauce instead. It's a great little place!

Order experience was smooth and the food was ready very quickly. I got the chicken & waffles which tasted delicious. The small shop was quite endearing and the outside tables were clean.

I had never been here before and really loved it! It's a cute little shop (definitely little with no standing room inside, only enough for 2-3 people to order then wait outside for food). We went on a Saturday evening and there weren't a lot of people (big event happening at Delta Center so not many people out) and ordering was quick and easy. The food came out quick and they pass it through a little window to you. It was really good and the waffle came out hot! Perfect with the ice cream and bananas if you get Cinnamonster. A cute place I'd recommend to anyone in SLC wanting food or sweets!

I’ve never had anything like their traditional waffle. It has this coating of sugar around it giving it a beautiful crunch and flavor with every bite. The crème they put on top is eloquent. I also got coffee with crème as well and ? top notch. We almost got a second after the first one but we restrained ourselves. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a delicious sweet treat!
