I got the pastel Azteca with mole sauce and Colorado burrito boy was this food great I have tried many Mexican restaurants and this is the first in a long time that I want to go back to the burrito finaly had real spice to it which was satisfying although could do with a bit more heat the chicken in it was very tender and the other item was unexpectedly tasty and satisfied with my choice the chips were nice and fresh the salsa not one of the best I had but still pretty good and cant beat the fresh made chips cant wait to come back the rice and beans were sport on and did not taste like mush as to a large amount of other places I have beenUpdate came back again and tried more and this is now my go to spot as the food is so tasty and ingredients you can taste how fresh they are it is becoming hard to find a favorite as I want to keep eating all of it each time

Silvestre beats the hell out of La Puenta, La Frontera, or Red Iguana. They are THE original Utah Mexican/Mexican American food restaurant. The service is excellent, the restaurants cleanliness is immaculate, and the the food is served piping hot and cooked to perfection. This place is a hidden gem who's management and staff is doing a stellar job producing a satisfactory restaurant experience in an era of declining value and quality in restaurant dining.

Perhaps our new favorite Mexican restaurant? Such great flavors that I just can’t explain. The Suiza Enchiladas were incredible. They also have great options for GLUTEN FREE and VEGAN diets. The environment is so fun, and parking is easy. The staff was so attentive to our needs. Already can’t wait to go back.Dietary restrictions: Half of the menu is gluten free, and they have several vegan/vegetarian options. Options can easily be customized to meet your needs.

The food was great. Due to the limited number of waitstaff, the wait was quite long.

WOW! We recently found this place and it quickly became one of our favorites. Pozole, Chile verde burrito, elote/Chile verde fries. Some traditional Mexican dishes and also some ransoms with a twist. They are all so good.

I’ve lived in Salt Lake City for over 40 years. Tonight was my first time visiting Cafe Silvestre. I have been missing out. The food was great! The service was amazing. All the employees jump in and work well together covering for one another when someone else is busy. We lucked out that it was Thursday and $3 margarita night so that was a plus. Everything was wonderful! We will definitely be back.

Got the chile verde and chile colorado. Both were delicious with tender chunks of meat. Flour tortillas are soft and chewy, rice and beans have good flavor as well. Street corn was delicious and actually has flavor with a little spice compared to places where its just Mayo and cheese on it. Churros came with chocolate sauce and some type of sweetened condensed milk sauce. Everything was great but the chile colorado was my favorite. Picked up the order and it was quick and correct.Wheelchair accessibility: There are handicap stalls by the entrance and a ramp to the door. The door was not a power door so may be a little difficult to enter as the hallway constrains the space a little. There is a little entry area and then a another door must be opened to enter the restaurant.

I know this restaurant has been around for quite a while but I've never eaten there until last week & I'm extremely impressed at how delicious the food was & how nicely updated it was inside. I definitely plan to eat there again.Dietary restrictions: I was able to eat gluten free.
