I took a flight there only for shopping Right before COVID, I went and experienced the worst customer service in my life. I walked out! So don't blame COVID when this store closes!!!!!!!!!!! Worst customer service from owner and employees! I was prepared to spend $10,000 on wardrobe for a movie production. Cash in hand ready!!!!! I can not give my money to evil people and show their product on television around the world. I completely understand if they are hurting for business!!! Awful

A lot of people are on here complaining about the customer service. What you have to understand is that this store is like a museum of vintage clothing, and the workers are like curators. They see it as their responsibility to preserve the history in the clothing. Would you go around a museum grabbing stuff and handling it like you'd handle any other clothing? No. No, you absolutely would not. My first shopping experience there, I was fifteen and I went with some older friends. They told me to be gentle with the clothing, to be respectful of the owners, and to ask for permission to handle items specially marked as antique or vintage. I did what they asked and the workers were very kind to me. I've been back several times since (I am 23 now) and every time they're always very nice, very helpful, and very respectful. As long as you accept that their loyalty is not going to be to you (whom they have likely never met) but instead to the clothing they're trying to preserve, you will get along just fine. And honestly, the clothes are reasonably-priced, and the selection is bang-a-rang. So it's WORTH IT.

WOW........ my niece was on a trip visiting SLC and told me about this store. She even bought me a pair of boots. Decided to stop by on my way home to So Cal from Boise ID. It was SO worth the detour/longer route home! If you are TRULY... into AUTHENTIC vintage then this is your heaven on earth! Plan to spend at least an hour to look through the decade, styles and particular apparel you are on the hunt for. Its super overwhelming (in a good way, everything is VERY well organized and sized). I would suggest having in mind something somewhat particular or you may get stuck and go down a rabbit hole (my vintage girls get it!). I would say go in and pick an entire outfit (accessories too). Then you will have an accomplished feeling and a full rad look!

One of the most amazing shops I have ever been in. It is the largest vintage clothing store I have personally been in. I saw that some people on here have had issues with their customer service. However, I have never had any issues. On a couple occasions, I even found that they had pretty darn good customer service. Just pay attention if the clothing has been labeled by the store as "antique" (meaning it is so old you are not allowed to try it on), or if it is labeled as something that requires the store's assistance to try on because it is on the fragile side. They wish to take care of something that has been preserved for decades or even a century. Be respectful of that rather than complaining about that indicating horrible customer service.

I haven't been to every state, but I'm pretty sure Decades is the best vintage store in America besides probably Steven's Cat's Meow. If you're a vintage collector, be prepared to spend hours here and be in awe every minute. Some of the reviews expect Justin and Jack to pamper them and they are just not into that. They are proud of what they have and extremely knowledgeable. If you are serious about rare and collectible vintage, there is absolutely no world in which this store wouldn't deserve 5 stars. I hope to return someday.

It's shameful that a store this full of the most elegant and well curated pieces has the shittiest staff EVER!! I was visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this store. The guy behind the counter didn't say hello, welcome, kiss my a-- or nothing! He looked at me and kept doing what he was doing. The female must have been the owner I presume because of her arrogance, knowledgeability and hoarder over the merchandise! Not engaging, everything was covered in plastic and/or locked up. It was very eerie and uncomfortable in this weird as_ place. They don't allow pics, they don't ship, they don't speak, they don't talk, they don't have any people skills but what they do have is a fabulous collection of vintage finds which is probably why they've been in business for so long. I really wanted to buy quite a few items but just couldn't...the service was just that bad (reasonably priced). I held my nose and purchased something small just as a souvenir from my visit to Utah! What a gem, but a disservice to the community! Nasty! (I opened a yelp account just so I could leave this review)

Kishmere is a great guy with amazing talent! He created exactly what I saw in my head! My team loves them and they are such great quality! He is awesome to work with and got them done so quickly. A much needed less stress situation after the last company I had delt with. I will be going to him for a lot of other costumes!!

I would give the collection a 5 star and the employees a negative 5 star if I could. Worst customer service I've ever seen. Jerks. I'm pretty sure one of them are the owners and do well enough in the business to not care. However, speaking my mind makes me feel better. The three of them act like they should be in the business of burying people or bill collecting. But definitely not a business where you should be welcoming and kind.

This place is absolutely fantastic. For years I have come here during the holiday season to visit family and this is the definitive fashion destination location for Salt Lake City. The staff is delightful and quick to assist. The racks are well organized and loaded with treasures from the past. I am always astonished by the reasonable prices considering the upscale items-- we are talking alligator and eel skin bags, gorgeous fur coats, etc.. This time around I scored a brilliant 50s tweed fleck jacket and silk bowtie. I will be back!

The Herc is what real Hip Hop is all about. Collaboration, Personal Growth, Community Fostering, and the masterful expression of the Hip Hop arts. The only place in Salt Lake to offer adult and youth classes and workshops in all Elements of Hip Hop form; Dj'ing, Mc'ing, Graffiti, Breakin' and expanded funk styles. The Herc has what so many other studios only wish they had, Street Credit and Presence. Their staff are accomplished artists and their students emerge miles ahead of the competition.

Best vintage store ever! However the owner is extremely rude! I was worried it was just me but I've asked my other friends who shop here and they said the same thing! It would be 5 stars and a Better business if the owner was just nice!

The rudest, most condescending, self-important employees and owner. I don't know if one or both of them is on the spectrum of anti- social behavior, or are just complete see-you-next-Tuesday's in general. You work in a shop, that smells like mothballs. You aren't curing cancer..., both times I walked in I was treated like as an alien had landed. I won't be going back.
