If you are looking for yoga classes, this is your place. Seriously. I went on a 3 week soul journey with the founder of Deva and other instructors and students, and it was absolutely amazing. I have healed so much, and I continue to grow with yoga. Bri, the owner, knows what shes doing. Try a class out, you won't regret it!

Rejuvenation Center For my birthday late last year, I decided to give myself a personal gift: a deep muscle massage at the Rejuvenation Center. This was my first massage in some time and I couldn't have been treated to a finer, more relaxing experience. The Center is located in the JRC Mansion, 2605 East 3300 South in Salt Lake City, phone (801) 755-3000 (by appointment only). The lovely proprietress, Karen Kasteler, greeted me in the cozy waiting room and invited me into her comfortable massage studio; New Age sounds of Conversations with God filled the background. Combining the sweet music, the fragrance of perfumed oil, soft lighting and the serenity of my masseuse, Karen, the ambience was one of heighted sensual awareness. She discretely excused herself after telling me to disrobe and relax on my stomach on the comfortable massage table; I followed her directions, taking care to drape myself with a soft white towel. When I was ready, Karen re-entered, asked about my comfort then with oiled hands began the muscle kneading and stretching. From the soles of my feet to the top of my head, I felt both my body and mind relaxing. For the first time in recent memory I could focus totally on myself, relaxing into the rare pleasure of hedonistic self-absorption. As she moved to the head of the massage table, I glimpsed Karen's ankles and feet, bare except for a small ring she wore on one toe; in my mind's eye, I could easily visualize a harem girl existing solely to revitalize and rejuvenate my royal body. After about a half-hour, I turned onto my back, again careful to keep the towel modestly draped over my nakedness. Again, Karen began at my feet, working every muscle and joint until she ended at my scalp. During this face-up session, I chose to let my body enjoy the soothing massage while I chatted with Karen about her views on spirituality, the joy of life, and how to achieve internal peace of mind, all topics this metaphysically-enlightened lady practices in her daily life (in addition to being a massage therapist , Karen is a licensed life coach.) When my session was completed (one hour this time), Karen left the room while I reminded my muscles to reawaken, wiped the oils from my body, and dressed for the cold walk to my vehicle. I couldn't resist purchasing a few gift certificates for my best friends (it was hard to draw the line concerning which friends really deserved such special attention considering my Christmas gift budget). As I sipped on the bottle of water Karen gave me, recreating in my mind the soothing experience of the last hour, I promised myself regular appointments at the Rejuvenation Center in 2009. If a picture is worth a thousand words, an actual experience must be worth a million!
