The Utah Parent Center is a remarkable organization that provides invaluable support and resources to families in our community. Their dedication to empowering parents and caregivers of children with disabilities is truly commendable. I worked with Julie Ray, who was very professional and kind, making the communication process extremely easy.

They don’t help it’s always a waiting list to get on a waiting list you have to fit inside a very very narrow criteria. Look have a child fully disabled can’t walk talk or eat on their own doesn’t fit! Utah sucks for disabled help but some lame excuse for a reply will wash my comment away. No one cares for families truly suffering. No one cares about kids with disabilities they push them off to unseen corners.

Sherri was extreme rude & unprofessional. I truly don’t understand how she works for a nonprofit & has the attitude she does. She definitely gave off the impression that she hates her job

The UPC has well trained people waiting to assist families in navigating school policies for IEP and 504 meetings, transition options, and more. They offer classes monthly on disability related classes that you can attend online or in person. Just get on the mailing list to get the links. Call them to find out who the consultant for your geographic location is. They work with districts, charter and any school. I've worked with two consultants in meetings and have loved both. I've had calls with others when mine were on vacation and I've never been disappointed with their knowledge and skill level.

I reached out for an advocate to attend a meeting for my child to simply express the magnitude that a simple mistake could affect an indivudual with special needs. According to the emails, this center will only allow an advocate if it pertains to an IEP. Nothing more. All I got was resources for an 'Inclusion Project' and not what I specifically requested. In the other email, last I didnt get a response. I felt no kind of support from this organization. Appalling. Disappointing. I will NEVER reach out again. In response: I'd appreciate if someone reached out again as I didn't have all my questions answered per my last email.

Navigating the care of your child with special needs, whether it’s a new or old diagnosis, is damn near impossible to do alone.Utah Parent Center has been our #1 resource for information, services, and support since moving to Utah in 2014.As parents of extraordinary kids, we owe it to ourselves to band together and access the resources available. Your life, and the life of your child, will be better for it!

This is an incredibly dedicated group of people who operate from a place of love and dedication to help parents navigate the complexities of finding services and support for their extraordinary children. They deserve support from the community and other organizations that work with children with special needs.

It's surprising for me to find out that literally EVERYONE working here has a disability of some kind. They have great resources for adults of all disabilities to become independent like places to search for jobs, go to college, get access to public transportation, and more. They also help parents to better understand how to help their disabled child.

We were so excited that our local pool started having inclusive classes. Thank you for putting this information on your website! They already took one session, and it went really well. I signed up for another one! So much more affordable than the private swim lessons for special needs.
