I have no idea if their college is legit or not although I think they probably are... and I am grateful for that. I was trying to help my son get started and agreed to pay the first month. I was stunned when my credit card was charged the second month without my expressed permission. Though I was not happy, I found out my son had not withdrawn in time and was charged the second month. So here is the REAL complaint, there was no way for me to remove my card number without replacing it with another credit card! I called and they would not remove my card from their system until my son put in another one. Wait a minute! It is MY credit card and I am telling them to remove it from their system and they wouldn't. This is bad policy in the first place, which was justified by saying somewhere in their application this policy was described and agreed to by my son. The operator I spoke with was respectful and understanding but unable to do anything about holding my card hostage. I don't understand why they wouldn't remove my credit card when I was telling them directly that they no longer had my permission to have it. I thought this was illegal (certainly is bad practice). Make sure you read the fine print. And ***, consider changing this policy. People are kinda funny about businesses refusing to remove their credit card numbers when directly instructing them to. My ****** learned, $150 down the drain. *** off my to-do list.
