My elderly parents had some flooding in there kitchen. The floor was a total loss. Their insurance worked with Giant Carpet One. I worked with Scott in obtaining the style and color of tile my parents picked out. The crew that installed the tile did an amazing job, my parents are ecstatic !! Throughput the process, Scott kept in contact with genuine concern for my elderly parents. I very highly recommend Giant Carpet One !!!!

They had carpet samples mailed to me which I considered excellent service but it takes more than one call because they often don't answer. I think they are waiting on customers & don't have back up to answer the phone. They often return voice mail messages the next day.

Their selection and knowledge was outstanding. The installation was 100% smooth and very fast - they showed up on time and did a very good job. All of the cuts around the edges, etc. were well-done and the junctions with the other rooms look great. The only complaint I have was that they didn't wear masks, and I thought that was a pretty low bar since case #s of COVID were still pretty high when they did the installation.

Scott was very helpful, knowledgeable, and real with us. Once we decided on a carpet he was very prompt and installation was quick and professional! Highly recommend. We are super pleased with our carpet -- totally transformed our basement.

We worked with this location two years ago when we finished a couple bedrooms in our basement and needed carpet. We worked with Sam then and were satisfied. When the time came this year to carpet our family room after finishing the remainder of the basement, we reached out to Sam again as we wanted the carpet to be the same throughout the basement.Sam came out looked at the room, measured, and sent us a quote on December 1. On December 2 we committed to the purchase by putting half down payment and scheduling our installation. We were scheduled for install on December 18, the first installation of the day. We were advised that someone would be here close to 9 AM that day.On December 18 I waited until after 10 AM without any communication from carpet one. I then reached out to the store to find out when I could expect our installer. I was advised that they put a small job ahead of us that day so to not expect somebody until later in the afternoon. I was not happy about that and I was told that our sales guy Sam would reach out to let me know what was going on. I had only taken a half day off of work. Shortly after my phone call I received a text message from Sam apologizing that he had failed to let me know the day before that they would not have an installer to our house until sometime between 12-1pm. This turned into an entire day out of work. The installer showed up shortly after 12:30 PM. Upon observing the space, the installer let us know that the transition piece he was to place between the tile and carpet would not work because 1. It wasn’t made to install to concrete and 2. The concrete (like all basements are) is uneven making the transition piece too thin for the full transition. He assured me that he could make the transition look fine without having to use a transition piece.Much to my surprise the installer was cleaned up and done in less than two hours. He laid 50 sq yd of carpet in about 1.5hrs. He asked that I go down and look at the carpet and I told him that the seam was not up to my standards. It was so bad that I could fit an entire finger between the seam in places and touch the concrete floor. He used a pair of scissors in an attempt to blend the seam, but there was no way to hide how bad it looked and the more he cut it up with scissors the more my anxiety grew. We also have a built-in entertainment center that has more than a half inch between the carpet and the built-in that you can see concrete as well despite leaving a half inches gap to have the carpet go underneath it for a seamless install. The transition between the carpet and tile also looked bad. He told me that all of this wasn’t his fault, it was the type of carpet that we chose and there was nothing he could do. (The carpet we purchased has the pad attached and it glues down like industrial carpet does) I sat on it for a few days hoping that as it settled maybe it would blend better, but it looked awful pictures don’t even show how bad it looked. I called Sam on December 23 to let him know how unhappy we were with the job. He came out that evening to look at the installation himself. He agreed that this was 100% a result of poor installation. Sam let us know that they would make it right and would be in touch with me.We were able to get a commitment for a carpet repair man to come on January 6. Carpet repair man came and mentioned the obvious poor quality installation and signs of lazy. He attempted to stretch the carpet (which we were told is not stretchable because on the type of carpet) seam it again, but wasn’t able to fix all the gaps where concrete was visible without additional carpet. We were supposed to have it fixed today (apparently the idea was to glue tiny pieces of carpet into all the gaps and install a different tradition piece) but yet again a half-day off work and repair man canceled 20 minutes before he was to be here because he doesn’t have what he needs to fix it. Called for answers, no answer from Sam, no call back from manager, no answer at the store. I just want it fixed!

Great service and a quality product. Glad we chose this store rather than a big box store. Better experience all around.

If I could give a negative star I would! From the start to finish there was a total lack of communication. I ordered my flooring almost 1.5 months before install got a call the DAY BEFORE install that said the person that assessed my flooring was out of town and did not let me know it was NOT in for the install. I had to pick a NEW flooring that was in stock OR potentially wait another 1.5 months for install. What really?!!!! Then the install total trian reck! It cost me almost an additional $1k to level the floor before they could lay the luxury vinyl. Ok completely understand they can't see under capet and tile but as a "professional" install company give people WORST case scenario so they can plan accordingly. I have used them in the past with no problem but this was a total joke from start to finish. On top of the 1k additional cost to level the floor there was 5 hrs plus of finish work after they were done. I do not think they took care in removing baseboards and just left them outside to get damaged for 1.5+ weeks before they were put back in! They also did not tell me there would be stairs issues. The stairs look like they were done by a home owner not a professional flooring company. Look at pictures they speak for themselves. Would NOT recommend this company if you want something that looks professionally installed! Looks much worse in person than in pictures!

We had a fantastic experience at Giant Carpet One in Sugar House. We spent a few minutes with Britton explaining our needs and what we wanted to accomplish. we knew that we needed over 350 yards so naturally we were concerned about the price. He was very helpful and knowledgeable and with in an hour we new exactly what we wanted except for the color. We also, with his help knew what pad we needed and also the price of the carpet installed. We were there on a Saturday and Britton said that he could come that Monday at 9:00 and measure. At 8:59 he rang the doorbell and by 1:00 p.m. we had a full installed price including taking the old carpet out, moving the larger pieces of furniture and disposing of the old carpet. The price was all inclusive and nothing ever changed. On the day off installation his installers were there with the carpet and 3 days later completed the job. I could not of hand picked two more professional people who did an EXCELLENT job. They were there each day on time and were always helpful and professional. Bitton's follow up and keeping us informed was excellent. lf a question came up during the installation he was always available. I would highly recommend Giant Carpet One, from the standpoint of knowledge, price, follow-up, installation and quality.

My husband and I went to visit this shop. The great thing about this shop is the they have a TON of samples and brands. Their sales guys know something about the products but not a ton. They mostly try to sell you what their store can make the most on. This is not your best option in town and their materials and install costs are higher than most small shops in the area. So stop by for al look but hire someone else!
