“Dates: 8/4-8/5 Room type: booked a king but gave me a double queen Summary: Cool and hip vibe in an old train station. The rooms felt well kept along with the hallways and common areas. Service was pretty good. Location was decent right across from the arena if you are going to a game but felt a bit more on the outskirts of downtown. I would stay here again for the quality of the room, boutique feel, and atmosphere. Room: Im flexible and it was only 1 night but I dont like when I book a room and they swap it at checkin. Despite that, the room was nice and very spacious. The bathroom was particularly large with a massive walkin shower. Everything felt recently either renovated or the hotel recently opened. Service: Arrived later in the evening around 10pm. The checkin was particularly painful where they said they couldn't find my reservation. Yet, im a Marriott Bonvoy member. Not sure what the issue was even with the confirmation number. They were apologetic. All other service at the restaurant and coffee shop was nice and friendly. Location: Didn't feel close to anything noteworthy except the arena.”

“Arrived early with no problems. Desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure. The towels were ok. For being one of Marriotts premium properties I expect better towels. They were the same towels you get at The Fairfield Inn, The Residence Inn, or Springhill Suites without the boring breakfast. The maid service was daily which is unusual these days. The room was kept clean but they weren't great on some of the details, no replacement washcloth or ice bucket liner. Nothing I couldn't live without but still. All things considered I enjoyed my stay and would consider returning.”

“This hotel is amazing. Great gym, good continental breakfast, amazing rooms and perfect location. The rooms have a little kitchen that is quality and great for heating up leftover or cooking something simple. The gym is basic but has nice equipment and is clean. They even have cold towels. The continental breakfast is free and actually pretty good! They have one spot where you can order an omelette. And lastly the location is perfect for exploring downtown. It’s close to lots of restaurants and coffee shops!”

“We enjoyed a pleasant 2 night stay here as part of a multi-state road trip. We enjoyed our suite, although we found it odd to have only one sink and no tub in a high end suite bathroom. We could also hear a lot of sounds from the adjacent connected room, which felt awkward. The view was lovely though, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. It is in a very walkable neighborhood, but also noisy with traffic. Salt Lake city has extremely loud fire engines! We enjoyed our breakfasts at the hotel restaurant, but would not have spent that much on our own (our package included a $30 pp/pd breakfast credit. What earned this hotel a 5 star rating from me is the people. Everyone we met was professional, kind, and eager to make our stay special. Russell and Sylvia at the front desk, valet staff Deacon, DeAndre, and Caleb, and restaurant servers Jessica and Patricia all deserve a shout out!”

“This is a great place to stay while visiting the U! We really appreciated the service, breakfast and cleanliness of the entire facility. We had a king room and the only thing that we didn't love was the VERY small bathroom vanity. There just wasn't much counter space. If there had been a mirror above the desk area, that would have helped a lot. The biggest drawback to staying here is the lack of parking. We were told that if there were no spots left for overnight parking, we had to illegally park on campus then they (the hotel) would help us dispute the ticket if we got one. That stressed my husband out so much he couldn't sleep the first night we were there. Otherwise, we really liked the hotel and plan to return for our next kid's graduation!”

“Awesome hotel clean good location lots of food close by. Would stay here again. The team here was awesome. the only downside was the AC unit. ether super cold or super warm at night. but I would not let this be a deciding factor. I have never been in a hotel this clean. There is a frig and a microwave in the unit. the cleaning crew was also very helpful and nice. The area is awesome for dining. there are tons of USB ports all over the room as well.”

“This is a great hotel for the area the 3rd floor outdoor siting area offers amazing views of salt lake city and the mountains above the hotel it's nice breakfast is what you would expect from a Hampton with a large eating area. Pool isn't huge but its nice and hot tub seems nice also. Parking was good right out front and free but could get congested with a full house. Staff was very nice and helpful.”

“The only hotel in SLC that I know of with a fully functional sauna. I stayed here for 2 weeks for job training. Going back and forth between their gym, sauna, jacuzzi, and pool has been amazing. The location of the hotel is awful, there’s nothing noteworthy around within walking distance. Even driving to the nearest town center takes 15min. Management: if you’re reading this, please keep your sauna cleaned and maintained. It’s literally what sets you apart from the competition in the area.”

“Been staying here for years and is one of my favorite places. This hotel has everything you need from deluxe buffet breakfast, indoor pool, extended parking and laundry room. Plus all the rooms are suites! That means a living room area no matter the beds. Even with the hotel being a little older I find that the rooms are more spacious than the modern hotels. Plus this hotel has had time to grow into its self and the employees. Giving you the true expiriance of Rested Set Ready and leaving you feeling Welcome Wanted and Respected.”

“During this trip, my son said that he thinks Home2Suites is now his favorite hotel brand. This is a newer, very clean and well-maintained property with terrific spacious suites and a friendly front desk staff. The rooms are comfortable, clean (happy to see that they are encasing the mattresses), and quiet. The views of the mountains are stunning. There is free breakfast, a pool and hot tub, a nice fitness room, guest laundry, and treats for your dogs. There is a Walmart right next door and a neat drive-thru or walk-up coffee & pastry place made out of shipping containers right next door the other way. There is also a gas station adjacent. It is on a very busy road, and it is built on a steep slope in the foothills of the mountains. Parking is a little challenging, and be aware that getting to and from your car with luggage, or with small children, or for folks with mobility issues, might be tough, so consider pulling up under the portico by the main entrance. Overall, we were very happy with our stay here and the value for money. I have a couple of small issues to point out for the benefit of the hotel management. One is the breakfast. It was weird and not super easy to partake in. We've gotten used to some pretty great breakfasts at Hilton properties (I'm Gold with Hilton), but this one was kind of odd. It was strange that the hot food was not kept hot and it was awkward trying to get different items out of that plastic case to assemble your own breakfast sandwich. Also, why were there no metal spoons? We weren't able to eat the bananas. They were not in good condition. Various things like that. The breakfast service needs improvement to bring it in line with other Hilton properties that offer included breakfast. The other issue I had was with housekeeping. What on earth were they doing? Every day they would prop open multiple room doors with piles of dirty bed linens, apparently so they could go in and out of multiple rooms at once, rather than appropriately, servicing one room at a time. This was extremely unprofessional, looked terrible, and is a major security issue! Additionally, it's already annoying enough that Hilton never returned to daily housekeeping after the pandemic, but on our one day of service in our four night stay, the only things they did were make the beds and empty the trash! They did not replenish our towels, soap, toilet paper, or tissues, and we were completely out of the latter two! Also, our toilet paper holder fell apart on the first night of our stay and they just left it lying there in pieces instead of repairing or replacing it and giving us more toilet paper. I had to go to the front desk to ask for all of these basic items that should have been replenished and carry them in an armful back to my room myself. These things are minor in the grand scheme of our overall very good stay, but they are definitely not things that should be happening. I would still highly recommend this hotel.”

“Why stay here? As of this writing, this is a fairly new hotel and it shows. The design and style from the lobby to the rooms are modern and current. No wear and tear to be found. Check in and check out was a breeze at the front desk. The free breakfast was nice and I always appreciate a steaming hot kettle of oatmeal with many available toppings—yum! The coffee was pretty good, too (I didn’t expect that!). I liked my room for its spaciousness, tidiness, and walk-in shower. The desk in the room was centrally located and accessible from two sides—I found that very convenient. The bed was super comfortable! Here are a few reasons to skip, but honestly, these are not major issues. Power outlets were only available on one side of the bed on my visit. This is generally okay for those traveling alone, but terrible for couples. The hotel location was convenient by car—it was near the airport, right off the interstate, and traffic was never congested. With that said, it is not a pedestrian friendly area—very limited shopping and dining within walking distance. You need a car here. Overall, this hotel is a decent value. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.”

“Great service, fun vibe, and genuinely friendly staff. The room was clean, comfortable, and honestly just a really nice place to be. One funny thing I found myself thinking about was how I actually felt a little guilty leaving the room to go out for the night. Which is kind of ridiculous when you think about it, because isn’t that why you travel in the first place? To get out and do things? But then you get a room you really like, and suddenly you feel like you’re missing out by not spending time in it. And of course, if you stay in the room, you feel like you’re missing out on everything outside. It’s a strange little dilemma when you think about it. Anyway, I guess that’s a pretty good compliment to a hotel when you almost feel bad leaving it. Really enjoyed my stay, and the staff made it even better. Definitely a place I’d come back to.”

“Cute Little bed and breakfast. Went there with my wife for our anniversary. We have been to a few different anniversary inns and this one definitely has the best breakfast. Fresh, hot, and good portions. We rented the Phantom of the Opera room. Very cozy and quaint. Side note-I made the mistake of looking up the original owner of this house.(Emanuel Kahn) Luckily I did not see him looking over us as we slept. Haha”
