Pricy but the late hours and friendly staff make up for it

I was just in Jades market and I will not go back as long as that cashier is working. He was more interested in his personal business than waiting on his customers. I asked for a specific item and his response was you will get what I give you. He should be terminated before he ruins the business.

I like to support local places, but some of them do not help me to do so. I can accept that the local products are more expensive than those offered by national chains and will continue to buy them. However, the prices of name brands that I can get from any grocery store are at least 2 times more expensive in this store.

This is my local spot that I have been coming too for years, tonight I went in to buy dog food with my service dog. I have epilepsy. The man working told me "I know I can't say anything but that's not a service dog" I told him I was just coming from my moms house and a bbq and didn't have her vest on, (as I bring her with me everytime I go in and it's never been a problem, because she comes with me everywhere; SHE IS A SERVICE DOG!) he replied that it must be nice to have white privileged, and I said I'd show him the papers, he refused and told me to "go fuck myself" I called my boyfriend (as I'm reaching for my phone he tells me to record him for TikTok) and had him come buy the bag of dog food, the man told him to tell me he was sorry and he was having a bad day. As a service worker, I wish I could go tell someone to go fuck themselves when I was having a bad day.I won't be going back. I wish he would've just let me show him my service papers. I've never even wrote a review before but this behavior is not okay whatsoever.

Great unique and local selection. The employee Kevin was very rude to us, wouldn't acknowledge us, literally wouldn't even answer us. We are easy going people and tried to be jovial with him as we checked out and he rolled his eyes at us. We asked him who the owner of the store was after we checked out and he said it was him. From what I could see online, Kevin is not the owner. I think he was worried we were going to tell on his behavior and lack of service, so he lied to us. Cute store, but be prepared if Kevin is on duty.

Came to the store at 11:00 pm ( they’re open til midnight) to a sign that said “be right back”. About a minute later “Kevin” came and unlocked the door for us. Very unfriendly, didn’t invite us in or even say hello. We shopped around for several minutes when my 4 year old daughter frantically said she needed to use the restroom. I quickly looked around to see if there was a restroom at the back of the store when another customer told me they saw restrooms past a sliding barn door at the back of the store. I went to the barn door and it was unlocked and there was no sign that said to keep out. So I opened it and came to a hallway that had two restroom doors. I tried both of the handles and they were locked so I assumed I needed to get a key from the store clerk. As I was headed back into the grocery store, Kevin aggressively opened the door slamming the wall behind it. It was so hard it was like he kicked the door open. Had I been a few feet closer, the door would’ve knocked me out . It startled me so much that I screamed. He proceeded to tell me that those restrooms were not for public use, and that I needed get out now. No yelling but very rude. A few minutes later I was ready to check out with $150 worth of groceries. At the end of my transaction I told him I was sorry but I didn’t feel like I had done anything wrong. I did not ignore a no trespassing sign or a locked door. I was just trying to find a restroom for my daughter. I was very calm, but told him that he handled the situation very aggressively, and thought that his behavior was inappropriate. He was calm in return, but told us that we were not allowed to come back to his store. Over what? Innocently trying to find a restroom? I will NEVER go back. Peace out Kevin. The way you treated me is grounds for termination.

A nice little store where you can find your daily grocery’s. Don’t expect too much service though. The store and the building itself is amazing and nicer than the staff. But maybe I just came in at the wrong moment, who knows.

They have venezuelan food and the prices are expensive for the quality. My empanada tasted like old and a 100 times reused oil. Too small for $7 and with almost no cheese inside. As a venezuelan I feel ashamed when seeing other Venezuelans offering poor service like that.

Great local market with amazing goodies from local vendors and they even have Venezuelan food to order inside. The clerk was very friendly. Great little place.

Average for a market.Pros: tons of sodas + snack selection and has a Togo restaurant inside... Cons: beer selection/ wine selection is very small and that's why we went to this location after reading about its wide selection of alcohol which we found out was false

Excellent selection including fresh food and household stables, especially for a corner store sized shop. Lots of local vendors represented & staff are very friendly and helpful. Great location too.

Diverse food selection, friendly staff, open late. Prices are marked up fifty cents or so, but their selection is far better than most stores its size—they actually have healthy grocery items—and the walkability downtown is unbeatable. I’m so impressed how much they can fit into this little place.
