I can not express enough how impressed I was with the quality of food and customer service here. It was so good that I returned the following morning. There are very few restaurants that caters a portion of their menu to vegans that put in this type of level of care this place does. My food was seasoned so well that I did not even need to add S&P. Exceptional, thank you!

I am really happy I came to this restaurant. The wait for me wasn't lounge at all but I came on a Monday morning. I had the vegan biscuits and gravy. They were super peppery with lots and lots of flavor. I really enjoy it. I couldn't eat all of it- be mindful the portions are pretty big. I would come back for the gravy. I really appreciate the vegan options that don't just mean veggies. Parking on site. Everyone was super sweet.

Lazy Day Cafe served my favorite breakfast on my trip to Utah! All of the dishes were phenomenal and service was great. We had a bit of a wait - 20 to 30 minutes - for a table of 3 on a Saturday morning, but once we were seated, everything was super quick. Now for the food! We got the Jackfruit Chile Verde Burrito, Baked French Toast, Veggie Eggs Benedict, and a single Lemon Pancake. The Jackfruit Chile Verde Burrito was the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. It was peppery, spicy, and flavorful. The Baked French Toast was perfectly sweet and sticky and way better than anything I had been expecting. We had gotten the half portion, but it was substantial! The Veggie Eggs Benedict was probably the most average tasting dish, but don't get me wrong, it was still really tasty. The Lemon Pancake was light and fluffy and a single piece was decently sized. I loved that they offered smaller portions of some dishes so that we could try a lot. I cannot say enough good things about the food and Lazy Day Cafe! Definitely will be visiting again next time I'm in Salt Lake City.

The chile verde breakfast burrito is one the best ones I've ever had. It's huge with just the right amount of spicy. The lemon pancake, biscuits and gravy, open face breakfast was really good. Did not like the Salmon Benedict as much because I didn't like the muffin or smoked salmon as much but it was ok.

Get ready for flavor town express. This little place is a gem of flavor, passion and love for food. If you are a breakfast lover you must try this place. We had the lazy day breakfast with hash browns, basic but packed with flavor and love. There is tender care put into each dish. Their sausages are amazing, nothing but true greatest in each bite. The biscuits and gravy were the best I've had. The crunch on the biscuit with some savory flavor and the heat from the gravy was poetry in motion. The grits were on point and didn't disappoint at all. The star of the show were the lemon curd pancakes with their special syrup. Not too much lemon to over power the flavor and texture of the pancakes. Another poetry in motion affair within your mouth. This was simple the best. Home scratch made food served with a smile and kindness. This what cooking and food and eating is all about. Wonderful place. A true must try.

We've been here several times for brunch with friends. They're very aware and accommodating for diet restrictions. Got the lazy deluxe multiple times until I tried the french toast last time and was blown away. All of it is good. Make sure you get at least one lemon pancake - the syrup is divine.

It's wonderful to have numerous vegan brunch options. Texture, spices, options, service, all 5 star! However, despite all wishes to the contrary you can't leave here with your blood pressure intact. Between the biscuits, gravy, scrambled tofu, and potatoes only the biscuits I could finish due to the overabundance of a little compound known as NaCl. This salt goes to ELEVEN. I keep coming back thinking things will change but continue to leave with my heart brined. Please let us know when you slash your salt budget. :)

I have had good meals at Lazy Day; however, this was not one of them. Eggs Benedict, $16. Hollandaise sauce consists of 3 ingredients: lemon juice, egg yolks, and butter. The luxury of this sauce is being able to taste all of these ingredients. This sauce tasted like bland bechamel w/ a drop of yellow coloring—I could not discern any lemon, any butter, or any egg. The English muffins were dense and chewy like a bagel, rather than light rounds with crisp crusts and air-pocket filled interiors. Beignet, $4. Neither French (cake-like, tender disks) nor Creole (yeast-risen, pillowy squares), these "beignets" were shaped like meatballs. The crusts was so hard, they could not be pierced with a fork. I had to cut them into pieces with a knife—taking special care not to let these hard-shelled balls skitter off the plate. The interiors were dense and doughy. A truly disappointing breakfast.

It has taken me so long to write this review, because I wanted to make sure I did this place justice. Their food is incredible. Anytime I have brought friends or family to Lazy Day, they have loved it & asked to return. This place was recommended to me by many people after I moved to Utah and I know why!!! Their portions are great, their coffee is hot, the service is fast, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious.I have tried almost everything on their menu and these are my favorites:Chicken & Waffles (the chicken is tender & juicy)Biscuits & Gravy (ask for a side of pico if you want to elevate the dish & a side of bacon... because why not) ((I sometimes ask for extra gravy too, not necessary to do, but sometimes desired))Pork chili verde burrito (heaven in a tortilla- huge portion size great to devour, share, or have leftovers! )The shrimp & grits is also so savory and a great choice. The lemon pancakes are also perfect - don't leave without trying one. The syrup that comes with puts all other syrups to shame. I honestly can say I have enjoyed every dish I have tried here.I also found out this place is women owned & family operated by SLC locals. They have been serving the community for 13 plus years now!!! They are tucked in the corner of ivy place, I have never had an issue parking. 10/10 stars... come hungry.

It was busy but not too long of a wait. I had the lemon pancakes, which were wonderful. I would have liked them served with warm ricotta. My friend had the open faced sandwich and enjoyed it.We devoured some fresh scones (not English scones).Parking: We were there on a Sunday, so parking was pretty easy. During the week, parking is more difficult as there are quite a few businesses in this strip mall.
