I'm leaving a 3 star review instead of one star because I don't necessarily want the rating to go down for this bank, but I do want someone to acknowledge it. I was calling on business and the customer service rep wasn't very polite. I call many banks every day and I always get answers from very kind and professional reps from all the banks I've called, but this one was the exception. I was very kind and professional and she seemed harsh and gave me some sass. I thought the way she handled things was rude and slightly unprofessional. I assume that the other employees of this bank have better attitudes. I just wanted to let someone at the bank know.

This is Sonja. I wanted to thank Carolyn Smith for doing such a wonderful job on closing our loan. I've been working with Carolyn for almost two years now and she has been patient and informative through the process.

They were such a blessing to me! In 2019, I told my husband I wanted a tiny house. We didn’t have the full amount to pay out right so my builder recommended Liberty Bank of Utah. My loan officer, Carolyn Smith, helped me beyond measure. First, she was able to get me a mortgage amount that will save me so much money & then she recommended me to a grant company that helped me with the downpayment. I didn’t even know those existed for tiny houses. She was so understanding of every situation that came up. It was a long process but Liberty Bank of Utah was there to assist every step of the way.

Carolyn Smith was very helpful and kind during this very stressful loan process. She was always available when we had questions and always on top of what needed to be done next. We give Carolyn 5 stars! The 4 stars is for the loan process itself with Liberty Bank. It was frustrating at times because we would do everything they asked us to do but yet they always came back with wanting and needing more and more. Carolyn always had our back and would go out of her way to figure out what we needed next, she was a wonderful and very helpful person to work with. In the end, we did finally get the loan for our beautiful Tiny Home! Thank you Liberty bank and a huge huge thank you to Carolyn.

Blasting my personal information including paystubs, SSN# and W2 via email to multiple parties and a work email not associated with me is a no go. You need to reign Carolyn Smith in. DO NOT send Liberty Bank personal information because they will show how unprofessional they are. Report them to FTC and BBB, my identity has been compromised because of Liberty Bank.

On New Year’s every year I choose a word and then put that word into action during the year. This year my word is FREEDOM. I sold or gave away most of my things because I knew I wanted a tiny home. I moved 1800 miles away in June and began my journey to find my tiny home. Carolyn @libertybank was able to help me every time I called her. I think if not for her and the creative suggestions she had, I may not have secured a loan. Not due to my credit, it’s excellent. I’m on a low fixed income because I’m retired. Housing should be affordable to all and the day I found out my loan was approved I was ecstatic! Liberty Bank helped me achieve my tiny home and I’m forever grateful.Peace

Don't do Home refinancing with Alexis J. or Amie W. at Liberty. They entice you with lower rates and fees and as you go through the process with them they slowly increase them.Alexis J. Doesn't respond to you when you ask a question you are concerned with. And you have to keep sending messages until you get a response. And usually if he does respond he tries to pawn it off on someone else who also blows you off.I've tried several times to refi. And every time we were about to close something went wrong.I was sitting at a 720 score and less than 3% rate and because they did a hard pull 4 times on my credit in 2020 it dropped my score to a 641 making me not eligible for refi. Now until I build it back up again.I've even sent a letter in writing to them to fix those hard pulls on my credit and have been ignored.Liberty is a good company but not some of their employees. Good luck!

At the 9th hour Liberty Bank of Utah stopped communicating with my Tiny Home builder and It's supposed to be transported tomorrow. If they don't start communicating who knows when I'll get my house.

We worked with Liberty Bank as 'first time homebuyers'. Buying a home is stressful in itself, but doing it from 1000 miles away can test ones sanity. Our loan officer, Jody, was new and it would have been easier if he would have had better guidance. Although I believe there was lack of training and support, our loan officer did his best. I was able to reach him with questions and concerns and he always got back to me right away. I could see how much he had grown during the process. We closed on time (06/2016) and are living happily ever after in our amazing home.
