I ordered an expensive Italian leather sofa from Lightspot a few months ago. Working with the owner, Walt Cowie, I was able to find the absolutely perfect sofa in term of style, size, color and materials used. Walt was VERY customer-focused, even mailing me actual leather samples so that I could check the nuances of color in both natural daylight and under home lighting at night. He also provided several suggestions for additional pieces of furniture (which I ended up sourcing elsewhere in the interest of time). Upon ordering, Walt went the extra mile, making it easy for us to arrange for payment; plus he advised me as to when to get the order in, given the extended holiday season in Europe that could impact my final delivery date. By the time I ordered my sofa, I had a crystal-clear idea of what it would look like, how much it would cost (incl shipping), when it would be delivered, and got the distinct impression that Walt would be there every step of the way to ensure my final satisfaction. Throughout each stage of the order, delivery, and set-up process, Walt was very responsive. The delivery was a challenge itself, as I live in a small town with steep hills, and virtually no way for a big-rig to drop the furniture off. That necessitated an extra step that Walt coordinated with a freight company which included offloading to a smaller truck, plus "white glove" delivery (uncrating, carrying the piece into the room of choice, and removing all packing materials). The final result was delivered recently: an absolutely gorgeous leather sofa with flawless workmanship and exquisite detail. I can not even begin to describe how thrilled I am with this piece of furniture! I would not hesitate to work with Walt again on future furniture needs. Even though his store is in a different state and different time zone, I felt like Lightspot Modern Design was right here in town.
