We went twice and it is probably the top restaurant in the area. (Cottonwood Heights location.) Clam chowder stood out and a mahi mahi special was delicious. Server named Rah Rah was outstanding. Make reservations. Choice of indoor seating or a nice patio. Reviewers who say the place has declined do not help. Review today's restaurant, not the past one.

Went here for brunch today with friends from Florida and my daughter and family. We had to wait quite a bit as nobody got around to making a reservation - remember to do this if you go. I had the New York strip steak, scrambled eggs and house potatoes with cheese. My wife had eggs Benedict with potatoes. We had complimentary cinnamon rolls to start brunch. Everything was very good.

Officially done with this lower than low mediocre place. Biting down on a piece of glass in the ice cream dessert we didn't even ask for was the nail in the coffin. How did they get a piece of broken glass in their ice cream I will never know. Just glad my husband's tooth didn't chip or his lip or tongue didn't get cut. Food is just boring. We are done with this place. Service was interesting to say the least. I get Covid has caused an issue but carelessness and dangerous practices are unacceptable. And over $60 for Chilean sea bass? Get outta here.

I can't say enough good things about Market St Grill! From the hostess, waiter to a prime rib that melted in our mouths. Oysters fresh and dips so good. The Ciopatinni was excellant, the crab legs were fresh

Market Street presents itself as a higher-end eating establishment (and certainly charges as if they were) but does not deliver the experience you'd expect with that sort of image. The waiter was friendly and the interior/exterior design is nice, but the positives end there. The service was very slow, considering they seemed well-staffed and there weren't many patrons. The food wasn't bad, but it was remarkably bland and lacking any real flavor. When you're charged $50 for a piece of fish, you better be wowed, not feel like you got ripped off. I understand with inflation and supply chain issues that prices have driven up everywhere, but that does not justify how overpriced their food is. Had their dishes been $15-20, I would not be writing this review, but with the total bill being almost $200, I'm pretty agitated.

Wow!! What happened to this place. In serious need of staff training... the manager needs to go or be trained in customer service and how to treat customers. Our waitress was really good, feel bad that we had to leave after we ordered drinks and bread... Your loosing a lot of business because of the people you have.. Can't leave a review for the food because we never got to try it..

I left them a note but I'm sure it will fall on "deaf ears" . these people seriously just don't care, hence.. 2 1/2 stars. Expensive bad service and they literally don't care. I went in to order the early bird special and take a package to nurses at IHC. I ordered everything and told them I would be back to pick it up. When I came back they rudely said, "sorry you're too late" it's 30 mins after the special. So I just paid the full price. Problem is it's been really bad the last 6-7 years. I really don't know why I kept giving them another chance. I just can't go back anymore. There are too many good restaurants out there now. Why give these clowns a stack of cash for lousy service, bad food, and don't give a damn attitude.

Ordered fried calamari as a starter. The calamari were the size of a dime/nickel, covered with lots of batter. Ordered a whole raspberry-almond torte which was not fresh. You could feel the micro curds of the custard in your mouth and the pastry was not so fresh either. Paid $180 for 4 people without the tip.

We have been coming here for 30 years. As natives of Southern California, we always look forward to fresh seafood and this has been our favorite place to get it. Unfortunately the quality of the food has gone down as well as the general ambiance and environment. From the moment we entered we were not greeted in a friendly way. The table we were seated at was sticky and not clean. The bread that was brought out was stale, hard and inedible. Our server, O’Sick was the only bright spot of the visit. I will say that he went above and beyond to try to make our visit enjoyable. But honestly the food was just not great. I had the shrimp/crab Louie and it had about 2 shrimps and a teaspoon of crab meat on it. My husband had the seafood omelette and it was marginal at best. I’m so sad to see this iconic restaurant go downhill. It’s always been one of the gems in Utah and I hope today was an isolated event.

The famous Market Street grille. I've loved it for years. Freshest seafood you can get in Utah guaranteed. The clam chowder is divine. The shrimp louis salad is a great lunch. Love the chhioppino. LOVE the halibut and salmon.

I've been to this location several times for business dinners and it's always a good time. The large windows and view from inside are breathtaking! The onion rings were huge and so fluffy, perfect pairing of fried goodness to onion. My salad was delicious that came with salmon and fresh broccoli. The salmon was a tad overdone but love the sauce it's served with too! Our server was phenomenal. We had 8 people and she did a great job taking care of each of us!

I've been going to the Market Street downtown for years. Their brunch is fabulous. Went to the CH location since we moved south. The oysters and ahi tuna appetizer were great. The lobster tail was not. It was TINY guys, 3 bites. $45 dish. Would not order again. That is not justifiable. I don't know if it was a small lobster or what. Disappointing.
