ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY HERE! I was driving through Utah and needed a place to stay. I picked this place at random and when I arrived had a filthy room (wasn't cleaned at all). At 10:15pm I had a loud pounding on my door and it was a man in a full ski mask, and his hand in his jacket pocket bulging forward, signaling he was holding a gun/weapon. He pounded for over a minute and I called the front office and told them what happened and to call police. After 5 min I called the front desk again and they said he weren't going to call the police and that I was being kicked out (for no reason).I'm 95% sure the hotel staff (a manager named Bob), was involved in this attempted robbery given that he kicked out a patron who brought an incident to their attention. When I went down to the lobby to see the security footage, Bob refused to show me had a big smile on his face and made comments about 'winning'. They'll do anything to bury my story, they don't want people to know that they're ok with or aiding in robberies.DO NOT STAY HERE, if you value your life, loved ones or your valuables, PLEASE STAY ELSEWHERE. PS: I met other staff they were genuinely kind and friendly. Bobs the only real problem.

Good rooms, stayed here with my kids and mom while we were looking for a home and had terrible experiences. Like, finding 10+ spiders in our room, some room were very clean and some looked like they just got dumped. Bedding is really good and comfortable. Now, lets talk about the staff and housekeeping… Morning Manager was extremely rude to my mom all the time, got mad at us for being 2 mins late to check in, kicked us out for using a travel website and then claims that we wouldnt pay the reservation when we did. Overall was a pretty bad experience but at first it sas amazing.

The service at this Motel 6 was excellent! Bishnu and his family were incredibly kind -- not only did they make me feel at home during my stay in Salt Lake City, but they went above and beyond: About a few hours after continuing my journey east, they called my mobile phone: I had left my laptop in the room! The owner Bishnu (or, Bob) went out of his way to mail it first thing that Monday, and it arrived only a few days later at my final destination. That kind of honesty and kindness is rare. Thank you Bishnu for saving my digital life!

My husband and I, and our two kids stayed here for two nights. It's an awesome place to stay. Very inexpensive. Every employee I interacted with were very nice. Great customer service. The manager was very friendly. Parking lot and outside area was secure. Only one way in or out. They give you a parking permit and they have someone at night walking around to check on things. This is defiantly the place we will stay when we need to come to Salt Lake. Can't wait for the pool to open

I generally stay one or two nights in Motel 6s on the way to somewhere else. This location was no exception. It was easy to find, has a great pet policy, and conveniently located near the interstate. The room was clean, but a little run down. Considering this location is asking for $100 damage deposit, they should acknowledge the previous damage, so as not to get charged for someone else’s carelessness. I did not get charged, however this could happen.

Our room was not ready when we checked in at 3p. They used so much Pine-sol on the floor that it was sticky, and I could not go in there until it aired out. I wiped the floor with a paper towel and it came up black, let alone enough hair to make a baby sasquatch. The bed spreads had the stink of burnt hair and sorrow, not to mention all the cigarette burn holes in the blankets and bed spread. I asked for housekeeping to come clean the room and there was hair on the bathroom floor and the floors were still black when I wiped them. The "dog area" was a small patch of dead grass where nobody picked up the dog crap, so you can imagine the smell. There appeared to be some tweakers living in a box truck on the side of the building. The building needs alot of repair. Shall we talk about the staff? There is no daily housekeeping for long term stay, there is no gym, no pool, the trash cans that were right outside our door attracted more flies than the Amityville Horror House. I was hoping that the girl that I found passed out in her car was just really tired and not sleeping off a good hit of heroin. Im pretty sure this place is where bad horror movies start......

I was very impressed by the excellent customer service provided by Angela at the front desk. She was very sweet, knowledgeable, friendly, respectful and very kind. I have not run into all that many employees at any business in general that have put forth the effort and exceeded my expectations like this very often, and I will definitely be booking here again in the future if I needed to. Thanks for being such a hard worker, Angela. Motel 6 is a lucky company to have such a kind, friendly and knowledgeable employee.

Stop at this review and go find somewhere nicer. I know you want to save money and you think \\\"it's just one night, how bad can it be\\\", it can be very bad, and you will regret staying here. And I'm assuming you're booking online with a business like expedia, stop and ask yourself if you're okay being stuck in this place if you find it to be as bad as I'm saying it is. Because I left, was promised a refund and Expedia says they now won't give one to me. They got around $90 off of me and a free room to rent to someone else. The first step in the room will make you regret staying here. The smell is overpowering, so much so that you probably won't be able to stay in there much longer than a few minutes without getting a headache. Further into the room and you find everything is just old and grungy looking. The sink was stained and disgusting. I left soon after going into the room and went to the desk. The desk person offered a new room and I declined and asked for a refund. They said they would and said they sent the money back to Expedia and also refunded the $100 incident charge. I received the 100 dollars back but never saw any money from Expedia after asking about it that day. I finally talked with Expedia again and they had sent an email I didn't see on the 10th that said Motel 6 denied me my refund after I was told I would have a refund and left and didn't stay the night. So this is a two-part review, one for this motel that I promise, you don't want to stay at, and Expedia who doesn't appear to care that the place they helped me book was so bad. What's worse, I booked a Hotel when I left that was way nicer for $7 more. Splurge a little, $7-15 more dollars will get you so much more.
