Used to have prices worth going for daily. But now only on sales days is it sometimes worth it. Now the prices are so close to just retail and you have to spend hours finding anything. If they are going to make to work like crazy to find an item, it should not cost almost retail. Not worth it anymore!

I was in the clearance aisle today. And there was a sign that said $1 off or 70 %, whichever is cheaper. So I purchased several items that were $3.00 assuming that I would get 70% off. I got $1 off. The cashier explained to me that this was correct. Cheaper for who? I feel ripped off by the buttheads. This was only cheaper for them.

Always a great experience. I showed up and forgot I didn’t have my card with me. They held my order till I returned in the afternoon to complete my payment. Amazing people at NPS

This is a great place to come to get discount prices on many different things. I have only been in the clothing/home/food building but, I have heard that they have other buildings with discount prices on tools and other items.I think the best discounts are on the fresh produce. Some of the prices are half of what the regular stores charge. You have to be cared though because usually the food doesn’t last long before it begins to spoil. Make sure you look at things closely and check expiration dates otherwise you might not be getting the deal you were hoping for because the food is already spoiled or rancid.Good luck!

NPS is not what it used to be. It used to be BIG bargains... now you're only saving a dollar or two per item. I looked at a pair of shoes, and the employee literally shoved me out of the way. I thought it was just a rude customer at first, but I was mortified when that person ended up being an employee. I would consider going back, but I'll give it a couple of years in hopes of nicer employees and better bargains.

The best part of NPS is the garden center. The manager there, I think her name is Vickie, gets amazing flowers, vegetables and low water plants. NPS isn't as good as it use to be but NPS is good for finding a few treasures or expired food or toiletries cheap. The consistently reliable area is the garden center in SLC. NPS skimps a lot these days but I hope they keep the garden center going! Check out the garden center! A+

NPS is a variable but cheap store. To my knowledge it is a reseller store, meaning it buys the shipments that other supermarkets reject, either because they're out of date or they came too late etc. This means that a lot of the goods you will find at NPS will be quite a bit cheaper than you could find at other stores, but the food may go bad sooner or maybe past its Best Buy date. This also means that the stuff the store stocks is pretty random and inconsistent. That is not every item though, there are some items they seem to genuinely stock, and sell at the regular price you could expect at any other store.

If I could give no stars I would. I bought three Sun shirts and a hat last week. They were 40% off. I made sure to ask if I could return these shirts if they didn't fit...they were closing in a few minutes. She said yes keep the receipt 30 days. I came back today to return the hat and two shirts that were too big. I was then informed since I paid in cash...I could not get my money back and clerk have me no options and slid me a gift card to their store for 42.00. I asked to talk to a manager. Their were no signs anywhere saying you couldn't get your money back if you pay cash. Then on the very bottom of the receipt it said that. You have no recourse. They let you buy in cash and then put it n your receipt at the very bottom. The leek told me I could return in 30 days for a refund. I waited 30 minutes to speak a was on break...he what the clerk told me didn't count. He said his general manager was off and I could drive in tomorrow 20 miles see him. There are no signs saying if you pay in cash you have to accept a gift card if you return items. All I needed Sun protection clothing which I made clear...they ad no more for that fit me. I pleaded my situation as they had signs saying if you use a debit card, you get a gift card in returning items....no signs anywhere saying this about cash! This was a complete bait and switch. Clerk who sold me items the week before said I could return in 30 days and get money back. I returned in one week. I will never shop here again.

I really enjoy shopping at the NPS Store in SLC. My favorite item to stock up on is the yogurt. It is always such a great deal! My kids love when I come here because I always come home with some snack that I wouldn't otherwise buy because it's normal price is too much for my budget. The down side is it's frequently hard to know the price of the items, as they are somewhat disorganized, in the wrong place, or not marked.

I would like it better if there was more oxygen available - open to the outside. Utah's days are calm, lacking wind and rain - certainly somewhere here exists that isn't an indoor trap.

I visited this place on the suggestion of a coworker. It was wild and chaotic. So many people! So many items jammed together. In the back are designer products but at a glance, a few of the items looked like knock offs but not at knock off prices. Maybe it was chaotic because it was in the middle of the day on a Saturday, but if that's the norm, a person needs patience and time when shopping here.

Amazing place to treasure hunt and to save a few bucks! They have food, some examples that I see consistently are pasta, condiments, protein supplements and meal supplement shakes, chips and dry snacks, an abundance of candy, paper goods, coffee and tea, soda and other drinks, international selections, and seasonings/spices galore. Other stuff includes clothing, makeup and toiletry, electronics, and housewares among others. They have a special collectible area in the back with nicer stuff like purses, art, jewelry, etc. Sometimes I find random or cool things, and I’m often able to save some money on things I buy anyway at the non-discount store. My only advice is check the dates on any perishable purchases including things like medication, contact lens fluid, etc.My fav recent find: I got a super cute pair of pink earrings from Banana Republic for $7 and the price on the tag was $20+ (can’t quite remember.)

Fun store, but it is very unorganized. I get anxiety when I'm there. You can't ever get a question answered its like staff is too busy to worry about the customer, and they are not very friendly inside the store. The ones working the docks & the forklifts are really cool though. The best thing about NPS is the weekly auctions.

I honestly really love the NPS store - you can get some great deals here. The only reason i dinged them a star is because they don't label prices very well a lot of the time and that can cause some confusion at checkout when you are expecting one price and you get another. Once when I brought an item to the checkout and it rang up at a higher price than I expected I had them do a price check and when the cashier took it for the price check I saw them high five another employee when it turned out that I was wrong about the price and the item really was the higher price. It made me feel really stupid and that was just rude, especially since I was being nice about asking them to verify the price and there is no reason I should just accept it without checking when the price on the shelf was different from what rang up on the register. I would rate them lower for this if this behavior happened all the time, but I find a lot of great deals here so it's still worth it to me to shop here.
