Apparently the employees were gentle but all their kindness vanished when, even if I anticipated all the sum for a 3 days car rent 2 days before, my credit card (which has a daily spending limit of $250 for obvious safety measures) didn’t allowed their crazy request of $350 of deposit for a Chrysler Malibu or a Toyota Camry (Avis, Hertz, Enterprise are used to ask $100/$150 even for luxury models).Zero availability to solve my problem, coldness and insensitivity, a prompt refusal to speak to a manager and, cherry on the cake, total loss of the sum I entirely payed off 2 days before.Nevermore. Absolutely.

I have had an awful experience with Nu Car Rental. Made what I thought was a good booking for a full size vehicle. As soon as I got to the office I was asked where I would be driving, I answered and was told the vehicle I booked was not suitable (due to weather) and I should upgrade at a far higher cost. I was then told I needed to add numerous additional insurances which I needed by law (this is not true) which increased my initial charge by over $1000. A total scam. Tried to get a refund and told I had to call priceline, 3 very long calls later (one they hung up on me) and I'm told an investigation will take place.

Horrible service... clear the staff skips over customers who opt out of predatory add ons and makes them wait longer for available cars.

Caution: Unwarranted Damage Claims at Nu Car Rental!I recently had an unfortunate experience with Nu Car Rental that I feel is important to share with potential customers. This centers around their practice of making unwarranted damage claims, an issue I faced firsthand. The rental process initially went smoothly, and the vehicle appeared to be in acceptable condition, outside, some damage on the window, which I was assured, was a non-issue. However, the real problem arose when I returned the vehicle. Despite ensuring it was returned in the same state as received, I was unexpectedly hit with a damage claim from Nu Car Rental. This was especially surprising because I had taken great care of the car during my rental.Fortunately, my wife and I had the foresight to take pictures of the car before renting it, including existing window damage. This documentation is critical, as Nu Car Rental has yet to provide specific details of their claim. Once we receive this information, we fully intend to dispute their claim using our evidence.I strongly advise potential customers to be extremely cautious with Nu Car Rental. It's crucial to document the vehicle's condition thoroughly at both pick-up and return. Detailed, time-stamped photos or videos can be invaluable in such situations. It's disappointing to write this review, but necessary to warn others. Trust and customer service are paramount in the car rental industry, and my experience with Nu Car Rental was far from meeting these standards.

My husband and I rented a car and they barely had any options. They ended up giving us a Jeep wrangler that had a crack in the windshield! We just received an email claiming that we damaged the windshield! What a terrible company!! We will never be renting here

Terrible service and a bunch of liars. I made reservation on Priceline and when I got to the counter they wanted an additional $40 a day for insurance. Very misleading. Save your time and a bad headache. Go with Hertz, Avis, Budget or any major car rental. These local car rentals like fox are a scam and will do anything to f@&k you over.

I had a great experience with Nu. No wait at the counter, the agent (Dale) was friendly and quick. He didn't push for the extra coverage or fuel after I declined both. We were in the rental car within 5 minutes of arriving. The car itself was great - clean and exactly what I had reserved. Overall great value and great experience.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Tried to get a rental vehicle from them since they were advertising affordable rentals and I only needed one for a short amount of time. When I had my ride parking in the parking lot, they got super angry and hostile about us parking in the “incorrect area.” Then when we corrected our parking, I when to get the rental that was reserved for me and Lo and behold, they said it was sold to another client. I was obviously super upset but was trying to be nice and asked if they were going to give me another vehicle and they said that they had no other vehicles available. At this point I was angry and wanted to leave so I asked for my money back and went to the Enterprise and was met by really nice staff and got a beautiful 2023 Lincoln Navigator! I will never ever got or this rental company and recommend everyone to avoid them!

I tried this for the second time in a new state. Hoping it will be a better experience. First off the lady at the desk was already having a bad day or at least she never smiled. I did get a super cheap deal on priceline. $8 a day. But because it’s near the airport, not at the airport, you still get charged for all kinds of bogus taxes. Deposit $500 was the lowest deposit. Ouch! She liked me so much she gave me a purple charger. In the snow. Lol. They have a lot of chargers so if you get the good deal online, chances are you will be driving a charger.I asked for any other car but that would be $100 per day more… also you must fill the car up within 3 miles of the drop off location. Even if it says the car is full they will look it up on the tracker and charge me. What?????so I stuck with the ugliest car on the road. ? That’s ok I can’t complain I have a car to drive temporarily. In the future I will stick with my regular rental car at the airport. I rent weekly for work. Thank you happy lady.

It was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! They upsold me a Jeep Wrangler ( snow was coming to be fair). But that’s when the problems began, the vehicle was disgusting from cigarette and weed smoke. When I drove back, the line up was out the door, and I couldn’t wait because I had a meeting to get to…so I called NO AnSwer, emailed, apparently it wasn’t the right franchise, I called again NO answer (20 mins on hold). The vehicle stalled 3 times and I held up traffic twice ( going up a ramp), apparently a bystander told me it’s a JEEP computer glitch. He had me open all the doors to get it to start ( yes this is a true story). So then the tire pressure light came on, so I stopped and filled it up, good right? No…it happened again!I tried to call again…guess what NO ANSWER!Finally, I emailed the corporate office, and I got response, some what condescending but at least I got a reply! And it was suggested that I could speak to a manager when I returned the Jeep.Well after 30 mins in line, I finally got a manger who told me he’d have to return it to the dealership for assessment. And “if” there was something wrong I’d get refunded. I couldn’t believe it, I have never heard such a ridiculous policy in my life…Guess what, while I’m waiting on the shuttle to go back to the airport, guess what gets handed over to four more victims..,the JEEP I just returned. ? they can’t even lie properly!Anyway, ITS TERRIBLE, IT may be cheap but SAFETY IS PRICELESS. I’ll never go rent here againThey have NO customer service skills and the manager simply doesn’t care. He was probably heard so many complaints.

Do yourself a favor and pay the extra money for the cars at the airport. I immediately regretted my decision to book through this company when I realized that some rental companies were “off airport”.To their credit, the shuttle did arrive fairly quickly and the price was one of the least expensive. This is where the pros run out. They are 20 years in the past, utilizing slow moving humans to process all clients. There’s nothing expedited for online reservations, etc.I don’t think I saw a single person wearing clothes that actually fit. The customers, as a whole, don’t seem to bathe regularly and odors were attacking me from every angle. These are the types of people who cough and sneeze without covering their mouths. It seems to take each agent 15 minutes per customer, as compared to 5-8 at enterprise, hertz or even thrifty. As I stand here, I can hear the agents trying to scare the customers and up-sell them their insurance because others insurance isn’t good enough.Had I known, I would have gladly paid twice as much.Lesson learned.Update: I booked an Elite SUV and they tried give me a Jeep Wrangler to fit 3 people, 2 snowboards and our luggage. But they magically had a Durango available for only twice the price. The agent was very quick to offer to cancel my reservation. Rent from anywhere from here.

I was taking a trip to Vegas and decided to go with a nice car rather than full size and found a really good price here. This was my 1st rental from here and it did not disappoint. Had no issues with the car Marcy who helped me out suggested the Dodge Charger with the Hemi engine. She told me it should be fun on the way and it was amazing. Wanna give a shout out to Marcy on here amazing customer service.

Had a great experience. Was a little worried because they’re a lot cheaper than some of the others but the car was great! No problems and pretty new. Our check in person was Sandy Duncan…not the actress;) and she was wonderful too. I’d use them again in a heartbeat!

Beware, great initial price but hard scare pressure to take insurance and the end price was 3 times the base price. They offer full and 1/2 tank gas purchase, try the 1/2 tank. The vehicle was fine and return was easy. The shuttle back won't drop you at departures and it is a long hike to the check in but that may be the case with all rentals.

DO NOT rent a car from this company. They’ll show a good deal and when you book it and go to pick your car up they act friendly and will make small talk with you about it and then have you sign. What seems like they’re giving you information is actually them adding extra things on but not telling you they’re doing so or telling you the price. I rented a car and paid online $160. I returned the car and then was charged an additional $300. Of that amount $93 was for them to refuel even though I filled up the car completely less than a mile away from returning it. I could not recommend a company any less. Seriously, pay extra and go through someone else. You’ll pay more in the end with these POS.
