Very vintage place, makes you enjoy the coffee as it is mostly quiet and chill. But have to say that the coffee here is a little expensive depending on the drink, competition has better pricing but hey, worth it for a coffee that actually gives you a boost for your day!

Favorite coffee shop in town! The coffee is high quality, great food options, and the service is always fast and friendly. I’m gluten free, so it’s hard to find coffee shops with food I can eat, but the Spanish quesadilla here is my go-to! Lots of seating, and I especially love the second floor loft space.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pastries, cookies, cake, and savory potato quesadilla quiche.

Really nice atmosphere, really great Chai. It's spicy and fragrant without being overwhelmingly sweet. Give it a try!

The SLRC has been a fixture downtown for 40ish years and has always been a welcome caffeinated beacon in a state where coffee is a moral failing. Their coffee is generally excellent, occasionally over roasted, but food is hit and miss. I had a citrus loaf today that was so dry I had one bite and it went straight in the bin. The cashier asked if I wanted room for milk and then filled the cup to the brim. Parking behind the cafe is a mess, so park on 800 E. Of the various locations over the last few decades, this one is the least inviting. That said, much appreciation for SLRC’s contribution to the vibe of the city.

Salt Lake Roasting Co. has been one of my favorite study spots for a few years now. While I've gotten a bad drink from them on occasion they are quite reliable in offering quality service. Not the best coffee but the chai is fantastic. The baristas are kind and personable, if not necessarily talkative. The ambience is fantastic. Plenty of outlets scattered about.Writing this today because I ordered a couple of drinks made by their new barista and both were a bit watered down somehow. My chai tasted like milk and my matcha settled completely -- was definitely not well incorporated into my drink. I'll continue coming back here because I love the staff and the vibes, but I really hope their new barista is able to improve as he practices.

i really like the roasting warehouse element to this place. a double decker loft with tables and windows everywhere and plants and world travel and coffee bags and roasting equipment. its great. it certainly can get packed out with students on their computers. way more work space than third space. but they have sweet outside seating too in the summer. gets a little loud from the busy road but is nice nonetheless. the coffee is good and the staff is sweet.

Publik Coffee is much better establishment. Disappointed I was asked to move my car from the parking lot despite being paying customer. Will not be returning.
