Jessica was a fantastic waitress and was on top of everything. Rene is the funniest and most uplifting person ever. He stopped by and had a wonderful conversation with my boyfriend and I. They made it a very special occasion! We have been here before this visit and will definitely come back!

Very great service! We decided to eat here rather than next door at Ruth's Chris' like we typically do when downtown. I am sure glad we did! The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was much more casual. We will return to Spencer's! I wish I remembered our servers name to call him out for his awesome service and great attitude!

Very high class restaurant inside the hotel. Nice menu selection with and even bigger alcohol menu. Prices are expensive, but quality of the food is impeccable. Celebrating my wife's birthday and they surprised her with an on-the-house dessert that was delicious. Staff was helpful and very friendly.

We had an amazing time at The Rare Room. We were serviced by René and Connor. They were friendly, fun, and spoke Spanish to our family of 4. We ordered cocktails, appetizers, sides and dessert. This was such a great way to experience some of what they had to offer. The service was quick and the food was delicious. We ordered the butter board, 4 sweet corn and saffron bisque, millionaire’s bacon, gouda mac and cheese with bacon, the truffled potato gratin, and the pecan pralin brownie sundae. Everything was tasty and flavorful. The butter board and the millionaire’s bacon are a must have. We all shared and it was plenty of food.The only feedback we had was that the soup could have been hotter. The flavor and spice was perfect!Thank you Connor for making our evening an experience!

This was one of the best restaurants I’ve been to at Salt Lake City. I got personal recommendations from each employee. Leonardo recommended the lamb. My friend and I both got it and we devoured it. There was no meat left haha. Patricia recommended the honey bee cocktail. I had 2, excellent choice. Rene recommended the huckleberry peach cobbler.They were super attentive, I got excellent service! Would come to Utah just to eat this food again.

I have only good things to say. Even though I tried to get reservations for the Rare Room, I was still pleased with the restaurant. I was given “the best table in the restaurant“ to compensate them, not being able to be seated where we originally hoped. But everyone we dealt with was wonderful, helpful and very friendly. The sides being serving family-style was a new twist for us, but very much enjoyed. My husband usually does not like steak served at restaurants. He always says it taste better at home. However, the steak at Spencers was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the huckleberry cobbler which was suggested to us by our server. I will say our meal was a bit on the pricey side, but I am completely willing to pay that for wonderful food and atmosphere. I will definitely return and eat there again.

Service was great- from the waiter to the water man. Food was one step lower than a Texas Roadhouse. Wagyu steak literally tasted fishy. Was so disappointed by food. Daughter ordered shrimp cocktail and could only eat 1. She said the cocktail sauce was ketchup. With similar prices to Ruth Chris I would suggest going to RC.

We have been to Spencer's several times over the last 20 years and had a high expectation that was not met. Dinner for two was $304 so you expect excellent food and service. Our waiter was very nice and did everything right. The steaks at $68 each were very disappointing, tough and gristle. Presented as a prime cut but clearly not. Au Gratin potatoes not done and the bread offering hard and disappointing. The onion soup was good. I feel bad leaving a negative review but in all fairness I you can get a far better meal for less. We are sad as we had such fond memories and were looking forward to a fabulous dinner to celebrate our anniversary that fell short.

Everything 10/10 !! Our waitress Hayley was absolutely wonderful. Checked on us regularly, always had a smile, and just overall great. I had the Lamb Chops, honey glazed carrots, and Gouda Mac & cheese. For dessert we had the huckleberry cobbler with the ice cream and when I say that was the best dessert I’ve ever had. Definitely will be coming back to this restaurant when I visit Utah again.
