Was in from out of state and decided to give this place a try. The sushi itself was fairly mid. Rice was a little hard on some of them and the fish just didn’t taste super fresh. Our server was nice and all. Everything was priced well for what it was. Overall would give it a 3.

Smells like dish water in there. Service good. Food ok. Coconut shrimp is done well.

Really good sushi and not in a pretentious way like Takashi downtown!

Tried 5 different rolls but I did not like even one of them.Running sushi restaurant mentality should be different than sub shop. The fishes at the counter did not seem fresh to me. Should have firm flesh and red gills. Fresh fillets should have firm flesh and red blood lines.Long story short sushis are not delicious.Price wise it is pretty cheap but I’d rather pay more something satisfactory.

Ceviche is fantastic! Try the chef’s specials! Mango popper and onion ring are great veggie options too!

This place was absolutely disgusting, the food was nasty , & the just filthy! If mcdonalds had sushi it truly would have been better than this place! I wouldn’t even give it a 1 if I had the option.

This place is my new favorite sushi joint in SLC. It’s small, yes, but that just means that the service is fast. The servers are friendly and the owners work up front, greeting customers and prepping the food. And the sushi… fresh, creative combination as well as more traditional varieties. Sorry that I didn’t get a pic before it was half gone! Also, if you want a fresh take on a cocktail, try one of the sake-tinis. The peach blossom and the sunburned skier are so good and not sweet.

Some of the best vegetarian sushi rolls I have had in SLC. The atmosphere is fun and laid back. Definitely will be back for the veggie sushi dishes!

Sushi 8.1/10p good, tastes yummyService 0/10Called in an hour before close just to order Cali Rolls and the guy said it would be a 45 minute wait (which is how long till they closed). Pulled up to the restaurant and the guy at the register locked eyes and scowled and glared at the car, as it pulled in 10 minutes prior to the phone call. He was not a happy camper; Horrible attitude; Grown adult acted like a teenager that hates everyone.However- aside from the troll at the foot of the bridge, the food was ready to be picked up immediately. And, it contained everything that was ordered.Parking: Side of the building next to the dumpster. Not many spots.

This place is a little piece of perfection. It’s getting harder and harder to get good sushi and not feel like I should have worn a tie. Here is a vibe neighorbood sushi and chill. Sushi groove is great sushi at a reasonable price with a staff that loves what they do. I’ll be back again and again.

I love sushi groove and have been a loyal customer. However, I ordered takeout tonight and am really disappointed with the portion sizes I received of the miso soup and edamame. They both didn’t fill up half of their containers. I would’ve opted out of paying almost $6 for edamame if I knew I was going to receive basically 20 pieces. I feel rip offed since we ordered takeout and didn’t get to take a good look at what we got before we left. I rave about this place and recommend it to everyone but now I’m going to be cautious. Please do better!
