I like to buy things at this Home Depot at 345 W. 2100 S. It has a good garden section and a lot of the staff at the store are really helpful, so I give this HUGE store 5 Stars, too! I have read some other reviews. I agree, it CAN be hard to find an employee to answer a question, but I keep on and I always succeed. In contrast when I don't find something at the Home Depot on South Highland Dr, they say, "Well, Home Depot at 2100 South has it!" Some people prefer Lowe's on 300 West, SLC. It's easier to find staff to ask a question at Lowe's. The Lowe's staff are more conversational. The other reviews here show Home Depot can be a challenge. I add that the HomeDepot.com selection of washers & dryers is great. They offer many brands, various styles, sizes and price ranges. My old washer failed, so I ordered a front-loading washer at a low price. Home Depot had some nice washers so I ordered one. The delivery today came 25 minutes early. They emailed & phoned first. The delivery team installed it, removed the old washer, & showed me the new washer worked OK. All in 45 minutes, which was good! After they left I washed a load of dirty clothes. The new washer cleaned them, with no water leak! Great service, great product!See below: new Samsung Washer in basement, installed 12/8/2023.

I hate giving one star reviews but the carpet cleaner did not work. I payed for a 4 hour rental at 6am, and it takes me 1.5 hours to get from my house to Home Depot and back. I get back home and find that the carpet cleaner is broken, and call the rental center to trouble shoot only to find no one was answering my phone call in the department. I returned it at 10 (again, it takes me 45 minutes to drive one way to Home Depot from my house), where they confirmed the rental was broken and I received a second one. I missed work in the afternoon because of this issue as I used the second carpet cleaner and returned it.\\nInitially they tried to charge me for 6 hours because I returned the rental 30 minutes late. I explained to the manager the issue I had and he thought it would be generous to just charge me full price for 4 hours. This felt unacceptable to me as that was what I originally had paid and ended up driving to and from Home Depot for 3 total hours because their original appliance was broken. The manager proceeded to tell me that they “had a hard day too and couldn’t explode until they got home.” He ended up taking off 11 dollars from the rental price, not even the cost of the shampoo I wasted trying to get the first rental to work. Thank you Home Depot, I can now go buy a chipotle burrito with my discount.\\n\\nEntire day wasted, will not be going back.

The customer service this morning was an absolute joke. The red headed gal stocking the drinks this morning was beyond rude and arrogant. Almost takes me out with her cart and then acted like I was doing something wrong for simply standing in line. The icing on the cake was loudly talking down on me to her coworker. Not to mention the checkout employee saying "oh well, I'm gonna go on break now." And up and leaving in the middle of checking out a customer. It's appalling how low certain corporations standards have gotten when hiring employees. You're better off going to Lowe's at this point.

This Home Depot location is a complete dumpster fire. Severely understaffed. No matter when you go there, there might be one lumber checkout open and the self checkout which means long lines to check out, everyday, all day. The associates that do work there are rude and not helpful. Asked four 'orange shirts' for help today with getting some lumber cut , and literally got laughed at by one of them because she wasn't in lumber, and I needed to find someone that actually works in lumber. Because they all have flashing signs on them that say what department they work in apparently. When I was finally able to find someone that would even page someone in lumber, I waited at the saw for 20 minutes and finally gave up and returned the lumber I had just purchased. I will never shop at this Home Depot location again.

I generally have great staff experiences at my hometown Home Depot. Val in electrical was exceptionally helpful today & cheerfully went the extra mile to help me find what I was seeking for honey-do projects; top shelf!

Pfffft. Really? Called to ask if they had sod. Transferred to (and disconnected from) the garden center 2x. A guy in customer service finally politely explained that "nobody knew if they had sod" and couldn't help me, sorry. I asked to speak with someone in the garden center. Transferred. Hung up on again. Say n'more.

Most of the time I write reviews when I get horrible customer service or outstanding customer service. If I could give zero stars, I would. I guess that sometimes bad experiences are like child birth. You forget how awful it is until you're back in it. In November and December, Home Depot messed up the delivery of my appliances, or they were damaged. I called some Customer Service number and asked for a manager. They've got a special group that works with unhappy customers. After all was said and done, I had a dishwasher and a range installed. I had them return the microwave. Because of all of the problems installing my appliances, they gave me a $250.00 credit. I just bought a mailbox for $1000. I talked to a couple of my friends and they suggested that I check with Home Depot to see how much it would cost to install. I called their customer service TN today for installations. I reached someone named Norberto. He asked for my order number. I was unable to find it on the paperwork that I got from the delivery person, or on my receipt. He couldn't tell me where to look. He said that he was going to transfer me to another customer service number that could look the number up. The phone rang a couple of times and it was picked up by the customer survey line, which you're supposed to get after customer service has helped you. I took full advantage of the survey and had to give them 1's across the board. All of my memories came tumbling back from my appliance installation fiasco. I didn't want to have to go through that Hell again. Since I couldn't get an answer from the customer service helpline, I drove to the store and asked for a manager. The manager wasn't working so the assistant manager, Danny came out. I told him that I've had problems with installations before and that I don't want to go through it again. He said that they don't install mailboxes and asked for the name of the person that I spoke to. I gave him the name and he said that he doesn't work in his store and that no one from his store would say that they install mailboxes. I told him that I want them to come back out and pick the mailbox up. He said "that's fine". I told him that I wouldn't shop in a Home Depot again. Again he said "that's fine". I then said that I will drive 5-10 miles out of my way to go to Lowes. He said "that's fine". When someone in a retail business says something like that to me, I feel like they really don't care if I take my business elsewhere and that they've got so much business that they don't care when they lose customers. I finally said that he's fine with me taking my business elsewhere. At that point he finally apologized for my inconvenience. I've spent 10's of thousands of dollars over the years with Home Depot. You need to find managers that are better at pretending that they care about the customers.

We are at this Home Depot quite frequently. We have purchased all kinds of necessary tools, furniture, and appliances for home projects, from this location. Yesterday, we were in for a microwave. In the kitchen appliances section, there was an older gentleman helping a couple. I made myself seen, but walked back to the microwaves to allow the transaction to finish. After about 10 minutes, I went back to check in the associate I needed help from. No where to be seen. After another 10 minutes, I saw a young man in an orange apron walking near me. I asked him for help. He made me aware that it is not his department and isn't sure how to locate the microwaves, but he will make sure he figures it out. He made himself visible every two minutes to assure me that he hadn't forgotten about me. He even came back with another person who worked there to help him locate our microwave. After about 15 minutes, he found it on a high shelf, got the lift, retrieved it, and satisfied his customer. I regrettably do not remember his name. If not for this gentleman and his helpfulness, yesterday would have earned Home Depot a much lower rating. Thank you, to the unknown associate, who helped us out. That was really awesome.

My favorite location. Awesome staff, clean store. I don't really like the parking lot at this location, but once you learn it - not an issue.

My wife was shopping there , and some pipes that she wasn’t even touching from the other side of the Aisle came down and end up hiring here. She end up going to the hospital with a lot of back pain. Home depot is refusing to help her with the bills … they wash their hands. Their insurance said that because their are not liable for her accident. Disgusting!

Home Depot treats customers incredibly poorly and abusively - and the Problem starts at the Top, with their Executives. First found know-nothing abusive flooring staff at store 4402. Utterly Wrong info provided. Refused to give manager's phone number. Rude. Hostile. Demeaning. Next, when I asked to have the associate transferred so I wouldn't have to see them again when I and my family visited that store. Home Depot Executive Escalations Very Quickly Booted Me, in response to my complaints & request. When I didn't want to have to meet the abusive hostile staff member, they Turned On Me and brought a virtual hammer down! A boot. Trying to "manage" & control me. Threats. Thus: Zero concept of customer service! Home Depot systematically Protects hostile abusive know-nothing staff. Condescending "corporate speak" responses and Bootings. But: "we aren't your employees, Home Depot! We aren't your pawns!" Avoid this Big Box Hostile Menace. And again their problems are At The Top. Utterly unaccountable. Retaliatory. Punishes customers. Protects abusers. Corporate office & local store work together to attack, harass, & punish customers.
