This review is about Home Depot online appliances and at the end, about the Home Depot store on 2100 S in Salt Lake City. First, their Online selection is great. They offer many brands, various styles, sizes and price ranges. My old washer failed, so during the sales I ordered a front-loading washer at a low price, not the cheapest. I owned 2 excellent Samsungs in the past. Home Depot had some nice washers so I ordered one. The delivery today came 25 minutes early. They emailed & phoned first; that helped. Carlos & Manuel finished installing it and removing the old washer in 45 minutes, which was good. They showed me the washer worked OK, also! After they left I washed a load of dirty clothes. The new washer cleaned them, with no water leak! Great service, great product! Secondly I like to buy things at the Home Depot at 345 W. 2100 S. It has a good garden section and a lot of the staff at the store are really helpful, so I give this HUGE store 5 Stars, too! I read some other reviews, and I agree, it CAN be hard to find an employee to answer a question, but I work at it & I always succeed. In contrast when I don't find something at the Home Depot on S. Highland Dr, they say, "Well, Home Depot 2100 South has it!"

Last time I was here it was busy so that mitigated the poor service. Today was the exact opposite. Store was not busy and still couldn't get help. After locating one of two items I came to purchase I located an employee to ask about the second item. He said they probably didn't have it. He didn't offer to look it up in inventory, nor did he offer to check the warehouse. Left disappointed again.

For the ladies, see Nina! She is a jewel, she helped me and my husband and was so kind and helpful, or, If You want to be treated like it's 1950 and you are just a silly stupid girl, see Darren in doors. To be fair he treated my husband the same. We are both 57, my husband has been in the automotive industry over 30 years, not exactly a man bun kind of guy. I thought this crap was out of vogue!!

I would give zero stars if that was an option! I reserved a side cutter and went to pick it up on Saturday and out of the five that they had in the parking lot not a single one work! Super frustrating, and a total waste of my day!

This place used to be my go to place but now it's just dirty and disorganized. Went there a couple of saturdays ago and is was a gross mess. Heavy machinery was blocking several isles. No cashiers at all, only self checkout were open with a couple of overly strained employees. People were backed up well into the isles waiting to buy large items. I had a metal cart with bags of mulch on it and found it hard to push it anywhere without having to turn around or not run over someones foot. Carts all over the nasty parking lot. Hope to never go there again.

As a homeless person in slc, I am at the home depot on 21st so. & 3rd west for the mcdonald's and the bathrooms. Since I got out of the hospital & became homeless I wander the area in my vehicle. I have witnessed drug deals go down in the home depot parking lot, I have had my devices hacked. I got robbed for about $3000, have had my bank account shut down & I owe them $500 for overdraft. Also some of the shady characters have snuck around my truck for some reason, always looking around in the back for whatever. I was rousted this morning by their security. Probably because I'm onto something. I have even shopped there before. 2 faced associates fill the store. I will never buy from home depot again. The criminals that have been in my devices could have easily used home depots wi fi to rob me. Thanks for nothing home depot!!!

I was in your store yesterday at 3900 Highland Dr in Salt Lake and was impressed with the plethora of employees who were available to answer questions. They were all helpful but in particular the young man in the plumbing section by the drip systems answered our million questions and was very helpful.

Abandon all hope ye who enter here. [And if you're thinking Home Depot is ever going to help you, you are doubly damned. Not to mention stupid.) - Dante What? Are they still calling? Can you believe it? When will they get it through their heads? Home depot is never going to help them. It's funny. Because we have been blowing them off for months. You would think they'd get it through their heads by now. We are not going to help them install their dishwasher. Ever. Yeah. Even though it says we'll help them. I mean, in the sales agreement. But we'll never help them. Never. N-E-V-E-R. Nope. No matter how many times they call. Uh-uh. We are never going to do what we promised to do. Even though we are Home Depot customer service, we are never going to help a customer. , isn't it? They keep calling expecting us to help them But were never going to help them. Can't they take a joke? Customer service at Home Depot truly is a joke. Haven't we put that in our literature? Even though we say we'll help, we never will. Why can't they figure that out? But people never read the fine print. Take these people. They bought a dishwasher, and we told them we'd install it, but they never investigated. We don't guarantee anything. So no matter how many times they call us and plead for us to fulfill our terms of the bargain, it's never going to happen. You know, I feel a little sorry for them sometimes. Why? They're just chumps. We've got their money. Why should we have any obligation to do anything? I don't know. Sometimes, I just feel like we're holding all the cards. These poor customers just don't know who they're dealing with. Once we have their money, we have absolutely no reason to do anything for them. . We do what we want. It's supply and demand. Survival of the fittest. But what about consider morality? Not to mention, courtesy. I mean, they're just people. They deserve a certain amount of respect. [snicker] Not! So, what should we do? We going to keep their hope alive? Of course. That's what we do. That's customer service. We let them think were going to help them. Even though it will never happen. Now, remind me. Why are we customer service when there is no way or ever going to help a customer? Something Home Depot, and every other mega-corporation, figured out a long time ago. You never actually help the customer. You just string them along. Make them think were going to help them. That's what we get paid for. Oh right. I forget the central commandment: Thou shalt toy with customers. Just create enough expectation that we're actually going to fulfill our obligations. That way, they'll keep coming back. Even though they should know by now that we are not in the business of fulfilling customer expectations. We're just here to sell products. Okay okay. I get it. We're just here to make money. But every once in a while, I think maybe we could do something more. Like what? I don't know. Like maybe helping customers. Giving them what they bargained for. They purchased a dishwasher, along with the installation, so why not give them what they bargained for? [snicker] Yeah, like that's ever gonna happen. Okay. Who's next? Oh, we've got this decrepit widow who thinks we're going to deliver her new oven. How long do you think we can j*** her around? We have all the world. Maybe she'll even croak before we finish. For sure. We might even get a raise for that.

They are understaffed. You can basically buy everything here at Walmart or Harbor freight, for much cheaper. There are 2 cashiers with bad personalities. I think there names are Karen and Cassidy?

I waited 8 months for a special order only to find out that the person from Hope Depot gave the measurements wrong. Imagine my excitement when they came to install the doors only to find out that they would not fit. Derek then lied & said that the company couldn't re-make the door. What do you think a special order means? I feel they just wanted me to cancel. The managers didn't really seem to care. No one apologized except for the cashiers. I will never shop at Home Depot again because of this experience & I am canceling my credit card. Of course, I have told a lot of people about this. Horrible customer service!!

I'm forced to go here because it's close to my shop, but it's in a crappy area. The men's bathroom stunk so bad I actually puked twice.
