The Natural Resources Map & Bookstore, operated by the Utah Geological Survey, is a great resource and a hidden gem for those interested in geology, Utah history, or maps. The shop specializes in maps and publications on Utah’s geology and fossils and is the state’s official source for U.S. Geological Survey topographic maps. It carries everything you want to know about the geology of Utah plus geological gear, a variety of recreational books, and rockhounding items. Any map or book about Utah’s natural resources and wild places can be found here. The awesome and knowledgeable staff provides helpful and kind service, can print maps on request, and walks customers through every question with great enthusiasm. Visitors often find fun books to inspire their next adventure.

A fabulous shop. I was introduced to A Correlated History of Earth on an Adventure Canada trip and it blew me away. I’m 80 and I thought this would be such a great infographic for my grandsons as we’re often trying to place historical events on a timeline. I’m sure this will get a lot of use. Thank- you.
