The day my daughter Maddi’s ashes were out for delivery, I stayed home all day because I had to sign for them. Around 5 p.m. I got a text saying they couldn’t be delivered because no one was here to sign—but the carrier never even came to my door. I was devastated.
I called USPS to ask what to do, and about 10 minutes later the manager of our local post office personally called me and explained why they didn't come to my door and then She told me that they were already closed for the day but she’d be in the office a little longer if I wanted to come pick them up. But since I didn’t have my car, I couldn’t get there. She then told me she had also lost a child years ago and understood why this mattered so much. She said, “You know what, I don’t want her to stay here overnight—I’ll bring her to you on my way home.”
And she did.
It was such a kind and human thing to do, and I thought it deserved to be shared here. Sometimes people really go above and beyond, and it means the world. ❤️
PS i'm not sure if the employees or managers of the Usps post office reply to these comments I would love to tell her thank you again and let her know how special of a human being she is! and tell her again just how much it meant to Me!

The office workers don’t know what they are doing. I mistakenly dropped off two packages that was supposed to go to UPS. Totally my fault, however they accepted my packages at no additional charge. One box was shipped back to the seller with no issue- remember I dropped off two packages at the same time- the other was returned back to my address 7 days later, destroyed! The box was destroyed and I had to reprint the label and get a new box. Because of the delays I may not get my return refunded. If they had told me that my package wouldn’t be accepted there I would’ve immediately gone to another place

I tried to hand over a package yesterday because I needed it to be scanned into the system right away so I wanted to hand it to an employee even though it already had postage. They refused and had me place it on the counter off to the side. 24 hours later, the tracking is still pre-shipment and my boss and the customer are furious.

Horrendous customer service! No professionalism, politeness, ness, and lack of skills to help people. Go elsewhere this place lacks basic customer service

They only have one small box mailer and it is out of stock indefinitely.
I asked a young gal if they had any more & I thought heard another employee in the back mention a different option…
BUT
She came back and just said “No we don’t.” then stared at me 😐
No solution offered, no advice, no estimate of when they’d have more…. Just awkward silence.
I said ok and left.
Will avoid this place like the plague.

I had an amazing customer service experience at this location. The USPS agent working at the moment had a beautiful smile at her face and was making all customers feeling well taking care. I pray for more people like her in the World. Couldn't remember the names of the lady. Her shift was on a Saturday around noon.

There’s one lady who complains and pushes back no matter what you ask her to do. I only ever have 10 packages at most and she complains the whole time.

I go in there to pick up packages for my roommate all the time. On this particular day an employee that has given me packages in the past now said that the person themselves have to go down there with their ID. She cannot give me a package that has someone else's name on it even though he's my partner and we live at the same address and she's done it before. That is the definition of a bureaucracy and a definition of the post office ruin as many people's day as you can before you punch out.
