I had my monthly payment dues returned by Vasa and charged a fee, when I had the money in my account t for payment. I called this gym location to resolve the problem, but they told me that they couldn't help me that I needed to call customer service. I call customer service about my payment, and I was on hold for over an hour since I was doing something else and waiting for someone live to come on the phone, nobody came. I sent an email to resolve the problem and I was totally bushed off after I explained the reason why I was being charged in error. The rep send me finally an email two days later saying nothing they can do, and if it was something else they can help". Issued not resolved. Careful with them. They will charged you late fees and cannot explained why it was returned, with an answer "is nothing we can do".

Wall clocks have been removed. Lot of members have need of knowing the time for work, school & commitments. The cost is minimal and would be nice to know the reason why a low cost clock would be a burden to the company. I have been a member since the facility opened and seen many changes good and some very bad. Clock seems a minor item to add that could make many members appreciative of the Vasa efforts to be customer minded. The showers are very dirty but the employees try to keep clean. Its up to the members if they want a clean gym by helping to do their part. Making a change may be the answer which may be soon if some changes are not made. NormL

Mens locker room/ bathroom. Honestly asking, how often are these cleaned? Once a week? By far the worst gym bathroom/ locker room I've ever stepped foot in. They are disgusting.

The movie theater was down for about a month and that was my favorite part of this gym. Aside from lady vasa which is an awesome exclusive part of Vasa which makes it my favorite gym. Classes weekly as early as 5:30am to 9am for cycle class which I do and I appreciate and the teaches are always energetic and bring a lot of energy to the classes and make sure everyone is engaged.

This is the worst gym in the Salt Lake Valley. I've been a member of VASA since they bought out Golds Gym and this location is the reason I ended my membership. Most machines are broken and stay broken for months at a time. The gym itself is dirty, grimy, and covered in dust. Sanitizing wipes are rarely stocked. Weights are never where they are supposed to be (if they have any at all--simple dumbbells are hard to come by). Management has no care for the safety of its customers, or care for customers in general. They allow cars and lockers to be broken into daily and do not comply with local law enforcement in these cases. This is a horribly managed gym and unless you want a subpar workout and to feel unsafe, save yourself the headache and find a different gym.

This quite possibly was my worst experience with a gym. I signed up for the free trial online but “they couldnt find my email” so instead signed me up for the family pass at every location. I explained it was just me and all my family lives out of state and just wanted the free trial, read all of the terms and agreements and understood the $25 cancellation fee but for some reason was signed up for the most expensive plan costing me $75. Their customers service line could not have been worse, while mid conversation their head employee hung up on me and refused to answer when I called back. Overall a very immature business who does not respect their customers in the slightest.

My membership was paused for Covid, when we came out of that I checked my credit cards to make sure I wasn't being charged. Turns out they were pulling a membership fee directly out of my bank account that I don't use very often. I haven't been to the gym in two years and had no idea I was still being charged for it. I tried reaching out to see if they could give some sort of refund and they weren't willing to. Honestly it feels a bit like they stole two years worth of gym membership. I was honestly about ready to start going to the gym again but not like this.

I encourage time with their trainers. I use the skills I learned during the months of training every day. Because of my training in my 50s I still enjoy floor time. Not a lot of people in their 60s can say that. I think I trained for 6 months.

I mean in general I suppose it's a great gym for the money, but there are rules posted for the wet area (pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam room) that are absolutely not enforced in any way. It is full of gross sweaty guys coming straight in from their workout with no shower and walking into the sauna in their sweaty gym clothes, sneakers, socks and all. When I spoke to staff they said that it's really common and happens all day everyday and that if they say something to these men they get "really offended". So, if we don't count the wet area, I actually like this gym and this location. It's usually clean, there's usually enough equipment available. Just don't join getting excited about getting to relax in a sauna or spa like I did. I downgraded my membership to basic so I wasn't paying for the wet area anymore. I wish I could find a place that has all of those amenities, but also keeps them sanitary.

I used to go to the Gold’s gym on Van Winkle Epwy long ago when I used to live in SLC. Now that I’m back in the city after a little over a decade, I wanted to try a day pass at the Taylorsville location. Starting off, the staff greeted me and other customers immediately as they’re walking in and helped me setup the trial pass within no time. I was sort of familiar with the layout but asked for a tour anyway. The associate walked me around the whole floor, showed me all kinds of equipment, other dedicated fitness program rooms and the pool/spa area. Overall, the facility is perfect for almost anyone to achieve their fitness goals. And yes, the associates greeted customers as they were leaving the gym as well.Only suggestion is the wooden walls in Sauna needs some work. For now, I’ll be sticking with ?♂️. ✌️

I don’t understand what is with all the haters leaving bad reviews. Maybe the attractive women and men here are not single enough? ?♂️In all seriousness though, I’ve been a regular at four different Vasas over a period of 4 years (based on geography mainly) and I don’t think any of them were a bad experience. And of all four, this one is my favorite. The staff are cool. The people are there to work out. People honor the court reservations without being rude. Lots of space. You can even use a godd*mn sled if you want, for reindeer training or whatever it’s purpose, the place can be packed and there’s still plenty of room not to be in anybody’s way. I can think of no complaints. A few oddities, like numbering the courts 2 and 3 but not 1. But that’s just an ideosyncrosy not a complaint. Guest pass services are generous too. I just don’t see why anyone would give less than five stars. More parking would be nice, but there’s always a spot. And if you’re going to the gym but upset you have to walk a ways to park, you’re not all that clear on what the gym is for, my friends. So overall yeah 5 stars!

The condition of the men's locker room / bathroom is the most unsanitary I've ever seen at a gym, maybe anywhere. You'll see toilets clogged and full of excrement for weeks before they're cleaned. The floor of the locker room looks like it's never been mopped. It's always covered in a layer of dirt and sticky. In the 2 years I've gone to this gym I have never seen a staff member cleaning the locker room or bathroom. It's a miracle the health department hasn't stepped in. It's a shame because they have good equipment and lots of room in the gym. But the horrible locker room condition is beyond anything I've ever seen at a business.
