Want access to your valuables in the safe deposit box? One your family has been paying on since the branch opened? One where your family were former customers of the Wells Fargo predecessor, First Security Bank, back to the 60s? Forget it. I believe this is illegal.I went in to close a safe deposit box for a deceased relative. I had inadvertently brought the wrong key. The whole time there was a “chip on their shoulder” attitude of how do we NOT help you. (It almost seemed as though the took delight I had the wrong key.). This was fine. I understand they can’t open the box without the key. Furthermore, they couldn’t find me listed as a signer on the account. I asked to see the paper book- I’ve been a signer on there for years and have been in before. They said they went digital and apparently “lost” the signers on the account. Unbelievable.I was told to come back with death certificate and trust paperwork- I had all of that. No problem.I went home, found the correct key, returned the next day early afternoon during business hours and was DENIED SERVICE stating that I needed an appointment. I was shocked. I’m standing there, during business hours, all appropriate paperwork and keys and denied service. Btw there wasn’t anyone in the branch either. I was the only customer. What bank operates so tightly they don’t have staff to serve walk-in customers? They are already terrible to access, being available only 9-5 m-f. This is the second day I’ve taken time off work.I had been working with branch manager Emily Nelson and banker Jason. I asked to escalate to next level of manager. The manager told me that was Shawna Laws and gave me a bogus phone number for her. Unable to contact her I called the national number to make a complaint. They are investigating. I will also be making a complaint with the national banking regulators.In the interim, I’ve been asked to take another afternoon off for an “appointment”. Emily told me there were no appointments available until Wednesday. The phone rep said they had appointments all day Monday. Someone’s lying. Unbelievable.I have never had a good experience with Wells Fargo, and can’t think of anyone else who has has. I closed all my business accounts due to excessive fees and poor service. Do yourself a favor. Bank somewhere else.

Can’t say enough bad things about Wells Fargo. From closing the doors before 5 o’clock, holding money hostage if it’s not deposited before 3pm, putting delays on cashiers checks, and all the way to changing spending limits automatically based on the average amount of money in the account. Their business model compared to their practices could not be farther apart and is laughable.

I hate feeling like I don’t have access to my own money, and I got the impression that I couldn’t do that at this bank and they were less than helpful in helping me with a wire transfer.

Today, I was a walk-in customer to the Brickyard Plaza branch sat down in the waiting area. The manager Mario walked over after a few minutes greeted me and made an appointment for me later in the day. I came back for my appointment met with Yusif who was very professional, helped me close out an old account, create a new account and other finance details. Overall, I had a good experience with this branch. Keep up the great work!! Thank you.

This is the worst bank (and local branch) to deal with. I have been with them since 1992 and now I'm in the process of closing my personal and business accounts. It's a shame they could care less about customers that have been with them for 28 years.
