Horrible experience. Was told one thing and jumped through hoops to get that only to be told something completely different that wouldn’t work. No help with online banking. Just given a member number and told to have a good day. Had to wait over 40 minutes just to have a 5 minute interaction that was completely different than what I was promised.

Nice people. But, that does not make up for a mistake like giving a member the incorrect information to set up direct deposit. They don't tell you to add 4 more numbers to the account number, much less what 4 numbers. It is NOT on the app or website. So, now I have to wait a week or more depending on how quickly afucu can notify my employer payroll that they cannot issue my funds to me or send it back to my company. Afucu refuses to aid with the late fees I will now have to pay. Banks already control your life enough. Don't let this get worse by adopting digital USD currency. Don't let them tell you how much, when, on what, you can spend your money on. I will be closing my afucu account once I have my paycheck. Don't bank here.

Unlike the other reviews, I’ve only ever had good experiences here. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the loan officer that helped me with my auto loan worked miracles for me. This is a good branch and people will help you here.

F these G D$&M Mother Fu$@er$!!!!!!!So they tack on a massive insurance policy if you don't insure your trailer immediately. Oh yeah, the policy is for 12 months, at a RIDICULOUS price. Then you pay interest on their stupid insurance. Effectively they wipe out an entire years of payments by adding this insane insurance to you loan!!! Even if you pay for insurance like they ask you to, the policy is still on the books. So you're paying DOUBLE INSURANCE FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR!!!!FUCK YOU AND FUCK EVERYONE WHO THINKS THIS IS OK. I FUCKING HATE THIS FUCKING BANK SO FUCKING MUCH!!!!

Deposited a large check, and apparently the management gets to decide how long they want to hold your money. They ended up putting a hold on ALL MY MONEY, had to call in to call center to get it fixed. Ridiculous.

PLEASE do not go here. These people do not care about you, and are incredibly unprofessional. I have been a member for a decade and over the holidays had card fraud. Someone managed to pull 400$+ from an atm an hour away. I immediately called, canceled my card and ordered a new one. 2 days later someone pulled it again. I let them know, they said someone compromised my pin & had me fill out paperwork to get my money back. They called me a week later saying that someone had used my actual card to pull the funds. I told them that was impossible because I have both my credit and debit card on me. She said I probably went to an atm and the location was wrong. I told her I don’t use cash, and haven’t been to an atm in over a year. She told me I probably went and forgot and that ultimately she needed to go off of facts. I told her that me not going to an atm and me having my card were the facts. She essentially told me in the most disrespectful way that I am out of luck. Immediately called all my friends and family and we are all closing our accounts with these crooks.

I was treated like a criminal after trying to get money out of my savings sent from my roommates grandfather for rent. An instant transfer if easiest if you are sending to another afcu account. They told me on the phone that “she personally felt like the transfer wasn’t legit” so I guess if you have tattoos and piercings they go by personal feelings. I would personally like an apology when they’re able to verify the funds.

my whole account had just recently been hacked & money was taken from my account. when i called customer service the lady was so incredibly rude to me & didn’t even care to help me. when i asked to change my phone number associated with the account she said i had to go into a branch so i did. when i went in i gave them my never number & they told me that they had gotten it all taken care of. when i got home i checked & they didn’t. i’m so frustrated with america firstthis is about a week later & i have gone into america first multiple times now & have called well over 10 times about this situation & nobody has been helping me. my charges haven’t been disputed & it’s been 3 weeks & i had to go in & tell them to print me a new card because there wasn’t one being sent to me.

I have a business account here every time I deposit a check it takes 10-15 minutes. When I ask why it takes so long everyone gives me the same excuse, "I need authorization to deposit it because it's over the amount I'm allowed to do" . My deposits are never over $3,500. Also try to find the phone number to your local branch, you won't find it, they do not list it and if you try to call the 800 number and ask for a direct branch number they will tell you they can't give that to you. Why???I have opened a business account at a different local credit union where they list the phone numbers to their branches and where deposits take take under 1 minute, like they should. There are a lot of other credit unions and even banks with much better service.

Extremely frustrated! I have been trying to execute a simple wire transfer for a week now. Every day I call and they just don't seem to know how to know how to do this. Each day they ask if they can have someone call me back but no one does. This is not the first time something this has happened. Every time I try to do something with AFCU I have problems. I inherited this account and I have had nothing but trouble. I am thinking it may be time to pull out and take my business somewhere else.

I've been a member for years and I recently got a second car. When I tried to put my car with a loan that's in storage on storage coverage and they wanted to put force placed insurance on the car. Would not recommend them for an auto loan.

I took $80-$120 to the atm expecting it to count it and deposit in my account as usual per other locations. The atm said it didn't detect any cash then gave me my card back. Because I didn't count it there's no way for me to get my money back/deposited since I don't know the exact amount.

Who reviews their bank (ha!) but I had such a great experience here last week that I had to share. We just moved and as such had to find a new local branch. Stopped in here with some tricky new account issues with a complicated issue and banker Dipti handled it like a pro. There were a lot of questions and Dipti followed up with me over and over again so that I ended up being able to finish everything that same day! Also was able to get my kids set up with their first accounts and AFCU is running a promotion where they're matching the first deposit up to $25, plus giving the kids free piggy banks and "registers" to get stamps and prizes to reward deposits. We ended up sitting at the branch for awhile trying to get some kinks worked out and the receptionist went out of her way to make sure my kids were supplied with coloring pages and things to occupy them. What a sweet staff and we are grateful for a great branch near our new house.
