Worst day care I have been to. Just a few issues, not enough room for everything. You wait at the front desk sometimes almost ten minutes, the same when you pick up. They take more large dogs than they can accomodate, no number limit like most day cares, and put your dog in a "cabin" they say for them to have some time out, but there are fights, my dog was bittern, they called me to tell me he had a scratch from another dog, so I did not worry. Too late to have it stitched after I picked him up. Bought a collar here, was charged and they kept trying to charge me again. When I brought my dog in for three hour they could not guarantee he would not be put in a cabin. That is code word for isolated in a small room they use for boarding dogs. and if you have an issue, they will email you to talk about it, but never will call you to resolve.

I'm one of those weirdos who treats my dogs like family-they sleep on the bed, climb all over everything in the house and eat very well. So when I travel or work long days and need someone to look after the pups, I'm very particular about where they go. A friend referred me to Camp Bow Wow and I've used them several times. So far, my dog hasn't said anything good or bad about her experience, but she seems happy enough to go inside with a staff member. While I appreciate the service they provide, it is a bit pricey, so I have to be selective about when I bring my dog here. I'd love to be able to bring her more often, but I have to ration our visits until I hit the jackpot.

I love Camp Bow Wow in Sandy! The staff are all amazing and do such a great job taking care of the dogs. My dog (Raiden) is a VERY energetic pup who needs at least 3-4 hours of exercise per day, and on the days when I can't do that at home, Camp Bow Wow swoops in and saves the day! Raiden absolutely loves Camp Bow Wow and practically dislocates my arm trying to get inside. Now that you know how my dog lives for this place, let's break down the particulars.
Pros:
- Staff are wonderful and clearly love dogs.
- Dogs are allowed to play in size appropriate pens so there are no small pups getting caught up in big dog drama.
- Dogs are rotated out to the cabins on busy days so the rooms don't get too full.
- Staff do an excellent job of answering calls as soon as possible, even on busy days.
- Smaller play areas allow staff to keep a pretty good eye on dogs.
- Web cams! I absolutely watch Raiden all day long when he is at Camp Bow Wow.
- Packages that offer discounted day care for either half or full days.
Cons:
- No outdoor space - not a deal breaker, but it would be really nice for my pup to have the option to enjoy the sunshine.
- Dogs may pick up some bad manners so make sure your pup is well trained and you reinforce the good behavior when you get home.
- Sometimes the staff are super busy so they may not see misbehavior right away (nothing dangerous, mostly just humping or pestering the calm dogs).
- Your pup will probably come home stinky, I keep wipes in the car and Raiden gets a wipe down every time.
All things considered, Camp Bow Wow in Sandy is a great place to take your pup if they have some serious energy to burn or need some play time.

We attempted to do a Dog interview. After reading the reviews and pictures of animals being attacked in the Sandy, UT city facility I decided to call and ask some questions . The staff member gave zero F’s And canceled my appointment***** Consumer beware******not only the lack of concern from the staff is beyond disgusting but some of the vicious animals that they “screen” Are still active customers (read all reviews) By the way, YOU get to pay for your pets injuries So make sure you have some damn good pet insurance. If the owner of this facility review sees this, train your staff to be a professional And have some sort of script when your customers or potential customers call in with concerns. The lack of professionalism is disgusting to say the least.

It was wonderful to see how well my dog adjusted to the day camp and how well she did because she has separation anxiety, but she did wonderfully, and the staff is amazing. They are so friendly and they are so good with every single dog you’re able to watch it on video camera from the lobby and it’s just a wonderful thing for animals. I truly believe, that dogs should have some type of doggy daycare just to enrich them if nothing else

I highly recommend their training!!! I took on 2 rehomed German Shepherds. I wasn't sure I would be able to keep them both after dealing with some issues causing stress and financial strain. Training with Mark at Camp Bow Wow has given me so much hope and excitement for our future. I purchased one private lesson package of 6 lessons. Life Changing!! I will be purchasing another package to continue growing as a unified team (me and my shepherds). I hesitated posting this as I don't want the trainer to get too busy lol. But I'm so grateful I had to share.

Two day stay at Camp Bow Wow Sandy turned into eight puncture wounds to my dog’s neck, throat and leg after an unprovoked attack from an aggressive malamute. $270 vet bill.
Dangerous dogs here.
Be careful with your fur babies. ❤️???

I work in the same plaza as this dog camp, and I honestly wish I could deter every customer. Every store within 4 doors of this place can hear your dogs crying and barking all day long. I can hear dog fights happening constantly. They are frequently yelling at dogs telling them to shut up, and being physically aggressive with them (I have witnessed this, I promise). LEAVE YOUR DOGS AT HOME. TRY THE APP ROVER FOR VACATIONS. ANYTHING OTHER THAN DOGGY DAYCARE. THIS HAPPENS ON A DAILY BASIS, I AM HERE IN THIS PLAZA FROM 8-5 EVERYDAY WITNESSING IT.
***Their response doesn’t change a single thing I’ve witnessed and hear all day long, but good attempt at keeping the public’s opinion at bay!***

It hurts to leave Camp Bow Wow a bad review, we have always had good experiences with the services and the staff.
However recent changes to their pickup policy (pick up your pup by 11) or get charged extra left me a really unhappy camper after our pups recent stay.
For the first time in 8 years we will be exploring other options for boarding.

Kind and caring staff, we love them! Our girl loves them too, she gets excited right when we pull into the parking lot!
I can tell that they each take time getting to know every dog there, and that they're all treated with love and care. These guys are 10/10!

Each person at Camp Bow Wow Sandy truly treats our dog like she is one of their own! It's evident that each staff member builds a relationship and rapport with the dogs and I couldn't be happier. We send our dog for day camp occasionally and boarded her for trips and always have a seamless experience! I recommend CBW Sandy to my family, friends, and colleagues.
