I called Famous Appliance to fix my Bosch dishwasher. It turned out the sump motor needed to be replaced. They came out on a Thursday, and said they had to order the part. It came in on the following Tuesday, but they couldn't come out to install it until Friday.After installing it, we were told not to run the dishwasher for at least 4 hours because he used a sealant. There should be no reason to use a sealant to install a new sump motor. But, it meant that he left without testing his "fix".We waited for 6 hours and turned it on. We heard was some loud noises and an error light came on "watertap". I looked up that error code and it said basically that no water was getting into the dishwasher. I called after 8am the next day on Saturday to report the problem. Rather than apologizing and saying they'd send someone out right away to finish the job, they told me they could schedule someone to come out the following week.I called a handyman I frequently employ to see if he could finish the job. However, after hooking up the water that Famous Appliance forgot to connect, we turned on the dishwasher, it made a horrible racket. He pulled out the dishwasher and discovered the sump fan was improperly installed, and there was now a leak around it too. Also, the motor Famous Appliance replaced (because it was leaking) was still leaking. There was also a leak in the hose connecting to the dishwasher.Overall, this Famous Appliance technician spent 3 hours to do an incompetent install, and created additional leaks. I couldn't rely on Famous Appliance to return and do it right, because the receptionist told me it was their policy that the original guy had to return to fix it. I didn't want that technician back. He clearly doesn't know what he's doing. Since I can't get a competent person from Famous Appliance, I am stuck either paying a different company to do the job right, OR just cutting my losses and get a new unit. Terrible, terrible experience.

Aaron is awesome! We were in a time crunch and he was able to make it out right away. He did the work quickly and even cleaned up after himself. He is very friendly and I would totally hire him again! Thank you guys so much! Oh, and the ladies in the office were very helpful as well. Thanks guys!

Aaron S fixed my broken Whirlpool dryer ? It was heating but not spinning, and he replaced the rollers and belt for me. He was courteous, skilled, and efficient.

Aaron was very helpful in diagnosing our dishwasher problem.Follow up review: I downgraded this review from 5 stars following the initial diagnosis. The repair on my dishwasher was completed timely and everything works correctly now. However, I noticed after the repairman left that my dishwasher was not reinstalled into the cabinet securely. It was very crooked, was not securely attached to the side cabinets, and was very wobbly. I had to reposition the dishwasher myself and remove/reinsert the stabilizer screws so it is was solidly attached to the side cabinets. I just did it myself because it was going to be easier than calling them to come back to fix it. After paying what I considered to be a very high price for a relatively simple repair I don’t expect to have to fix a shoddy reinstall. Sorry Famous Appliance I know you won’t like this review but those are the facts.

Jake M. came out to fix my oven. He arrived early, which I appreciated, he was friendly, clean and efficient. He even took an extra minute to look at my ice maker, which I did not know I needed when I made the apointment. We will definitely call him for future repairs. THANKS JAKE!!!

I don't know how these guys are garnering such a high rating on Google but read all the reviews on YELP before making a decision to work with them (they have a tenuous 1.5/1.8 there, and that would be a generous rating in my experience). These guys came out to repair a microwave for us to the tune of $430 bucks with the assurance that if we paid that cost, we'd have a microwave that "worked like new" (and since the original microwave was almost $700, this seemed like the best course of action). Two weeks after shelling out $430, the microwave exploded with a loud crack, smoke, and electrical burning smells flooding the whole house. It took Famous Appliance a full week to come back out (they were there the same day when they knew they'd make a profit, but asking them to do warranty work is very low on their list of priorities), and then they told me that I was just so unlucky because this was a totally unrelated, new problem that they would have had no way to predict or diagnose when they came out before. They quoted me another $220 to repair it and when I even began to question the likelihood that this "new" issue was indeed unrelated to the previous problem, the technician practically ran out the door and said he would have someone from the office call me.No one called. Two days later I called them, and the receptionist said they would have to call me back after discussing the situation with the technician. Again, NO call back. I called again and was told again that they would call me back. I reminded them that I'd heard that promise twice before. An hour later, some guy with an attitude called and said that the technician was his "best guy" and if the tech says that the issues are unrelated, then he trusted him. He offered me a whopping $30 discount on the next repair (taking the cost to $190 instead of $220) and asked if I wanted him to order the part. I did not.I don't know whether to file a small claims action against these guys, or just flood social media with my experience and hope that they will finally decide to do the right thing, but for a month I've had a $430 piece of useless "art" hanging in my kitchen while these incompetent crooks continue to do business with other unsuspecting customers. DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS...read the YELP reviews if you are at all inclined to think that I am the outlier. My experience is reflected in that of scores of other people who were equally duped by this company. If I could give them a ZERO, I would.

If I could, I would give zero stars.We contacted Famous Appliance Service regarding our 2 year old GE Fridge. The initial issue was that the fridge was not maintaining its temperature. When the technician arrived, they took freezer parts, resulting in an ice buildup. The technician claimed it was a defrost issue and insisted I needed to change some parts, costing a whopping $500. It was hard to believe that such a significant repair cost was necessary for a fridge only two years old, but in the interest of fixing the problem, I agreed and paid the amount. To replace the parts he asked to use my hairdryer and 2 towels to remove the ice buildup.Unfortunately, after just two weeks, the same issue resurfaced. Aware that we had a three-month warranty on the parts that were replaced, we contacted Famous Appliance Service again. The technician returned stating that he should have replaced a different part, but frustratingly, they did not address the existing ice that had built up again. After approximately another 2 weeks, we found ourselves dealing with the same issue yet again. The technician returned, this time cleaning up the accumulated ice and assuring us it wouldn't happen again.Regrettably, the problem has persisted. Upon contacting the company once more, the technician insisted on replacing YET ANOTHER PART, this time at an exorbitant cost of $700! Is this some kind of joke? It feels like they are simply experimenting with different parts, hoping for the best. The total cost is almost equivalent to buying a new fridge, making it utterly unacceptable.My experience with Famous Appliance Service has been nothing short of a nightmare. The repeated failures to resolve the issue, coupled with the escalating costs, reflect a lack of competence and integrity. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to think twice and explore alternative options.This has been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing ordeal, and I sincerely hope that others can avoid the same unpleasant experience with Famous Appliance Service.

Jason from Famous Appliance has been great. We had a compressor go out in our refrigerator, he showed up the day we first called and replaced it promptly. Unfortunately we had other small leaks in our lines, and had to have him come back out for minor repairs. He always showed up smiling and helpful.
