Home Depot provides quality products, and quality customer service. I can't say the same about Lowe's.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Home Depot on Highland Drive in Sandy, Utah—particularly with their general manager, Ana—has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I purchased cabinets from the Hampton Designer Series (manufactured by American Woodmark) through this location after clearly stating I was looking for cream-colored cabinets.
The design catalog prominently displays a kitchen with what appears to be cream cabinets, a green island, and gold hardware—which matched exactly what I was aiming for. I was repeatedly assured, both by staff at the original store I consulted and at the Sandy location, that the “Melvern Cloud” cabinets were indeed cream. The in-store sample supported that, appearing cream when compared to gray options. Based on that representation, I placed my order.
But what I received were clearly gray cabinets—a completely different tone than what I was expecting and had been told to expect. When I raised this concern, Ana, the store manager, was not only unhelpful but rude and dismissive. Instead of taking accountability or working toward a resolution, she blamed other stores and ultimately the manufacturer. I’ve since spent over two months on the phone with more than a dozen representatives from both Home Depot and Hampton Designer Series, and no one will take responsibility.
Most recently, a representative from Hampton called to tell me they were “working on options,” only to follow up with an email saying they would do nothing—because the issue wasn’t considered a warranty problem. But this isn’t a warranty issue. This is about clear misrepresentation of product color in the catalog and by multiple employees.
The worst part? I still don’t have a usable kitchen. I’ve been unable to move into my home because of the delay caused by their unwillingness to correct the issue or even offer reasonable options.
Home Depot sold me a product based on false and misleading information, and when I turned to them for help, I was met with shrugged shoulders and finger-pointing. I’m incredibly disappointed in the lack of accountability, the poor customer service, and the unprofessionalism I’ve encountered—especially from Ana.
I trusted this company with a major part of my home renovation and was left with expensive, unusable cabinets, a major headache, and no support. I expected more from Home Depot.

Iam a deaf guy . I asked for help on which wood is best for outdoor on atv trailer. The guy in wood dept with curly hair and beard and little chubby. He just pointed away and left . I tried to find other guy to help me. I waited 10 to 15 minutes. That guy just walked by me and ignored me 4 times. Till I went to the back of building where I met a guy with bald head. He is nice and helped me pick which wood is best for me to pick... I'm thinking to look at Lowes next time...

Small as far home depots go. Hard to all items you expect to at other HD stores.

I recently visited Home Depot to pick up a replacement set of mirror closet doors after unfortunately breaking one from my first delivery. I have to give a huge shoutout to Jack, an outstanding employee who went above and beyond to help me.
From the moment I arrived, Jack was incredibly helpful and made sure I didn't feel like a burden. He assisted me in getting the new set of closet doors into my car, which was no easy task given their size. When we realized it was a tight fit, Jack came up with the brilliant idea to open the packaging and remove some packing material. This creative solution allowed the doors to fit perfectly in my car.
I had never shopped at this Home Depot location before, but thanks to Jack and his exceptional customer service, I can confidently say they truly care about their customers. Jack's support and dedication made a potentially stressful situation so much easier for me. Thank you, Jack, for your outstanding help and for making my shopping experience such a positive one!

Poor customer service and cheap Chinese garbage. Every time I shop here, I end up having to return what I bought because it broke, and I ended up going somewhere else.

Wow what great customer service. Chase and Natalie helped me out with a very difficult situation, but they made it right. This will be my go to store from now on.

wouldnt honor sale listed. Spent over $250 and they were trying to say it was the attached top piece only. False advertising and scammy. its like discounting a single soda can in a 12 pack, super dishonest store manager.

This is the best Home Depot in Utah! Their staff is way more responsive than any other Home Depot i’ve been to. The managers here are doing a great job!

The customer service is really outrageous, I have been purchased $10k materials and tools from homedepot every year for my rental properties for the past 4-5 years at least. This is the second time, I had a very terrible experience to return one of the tools. I had the receipt and only a couple weeks of purchase. She asked me 2 times about what’s wrong with the tool, and two customers service people were talking to each other, and I had no idea why I need to get involved. I’m not sure why they didn’t happy with my answer for returning the tool, and need to ask me second times, I replied the same things, and I was not going to change my answer. It’s extremely miserable experience for returning stuff at this homedepot. Don’t want to go to homedepot anymore. It’s not only can buy materials and tools in homedepot, there are lows, Amazon, Ace …etc. I it’s don’t understand why I can’t return the tools peacefully without being investigated. I can’t test the tool I bought, if I didn’t like it, I can’t return it??!!! So absurd to treat their customers like this. I thought everywhere there are at least 30-90 days return policy in the entire US. Homedepot should open a business in China if they don’t want people return any products. If homedepot keep doing this, I’m certainly sure they will loose more valuable customers like me. They should definitely train their employees better and respect their value able customers.

I recently engaged in an enlightening conversation with Ray regarding the acquisition of a Port-A-Torch Kit, complete with Oxygen and Acetylene Tanks for multifaceted applications such as Cutting, Welding, and Brazing. Ray’s depth of knowledge and proactive approach truly stood out, as he meticulously examined the product firsthand. Such exemplary customer service is a rarity in contemporary society. As a business proprietor, I find Ray’s dedication deserving of recognition, contemplating the potential for elevating his role with a more rewarding position. Ray embodies the essence of excellence, and his contributions reflect positively on both himself and the esteemed establishment, HD.

Ordered sand for an online pickup. 1) we ordered 4 bags and they threw an “extra” bag in…that was completely ripped open and spilling sand all over. 2) inspected the remaining bags and 2 others had holes and were spilling all over. These were “inspected” prior to loading…I guess it was Mr Magoo who inspected it. It will be a long time before I go back to this location

We're standing here in the Sandy store right now as Randy is cutting some boards for us. It's not easy, as we need several weird sizes. He couldn't be more helpful and patient! We pulled him from unloading a pallet of lumber to help us. What an amazing guy! Great experience!
