I bought my Ascent from here October 2021. October of 2022 comes along and I have my trunk failing to open with the button in the front. All I get is a high pitch beep that won't stop or reset from the front or the back reset buttons. My trunk also will not open at all. My husband disconnected the battery to make the beeping stop. I take it in and they "fix" it for $100+ while I continue to have issues with my trunk for months afterwards. Each time it's $100+. October 2023 comes and the SAME issue occurs. I ask how much to fix it and she tells me it's at least $80 to just take a look at it. I've never had a car in my life have this many issues with a trunk beep that I keep having to pay repeatedly to fix. I don't know what an issue this small is costing me over $300 to get "fixed" and it's becoming an annual thing. I'm done.

The process was a little lengthy, but all in all our car buying process has been stressful and irritating but they made it so simple. I appreciated the time and kindness of the salesmen and staff.

Considerations: The financing process resulted in our credit being pulled again after explicitly stating we did not want that to happen. We were pre-approved through our credit union. We only needed a purchase contract and it was my understanding that was the only thing being sent to our credit union, without a credit inquiry. That did not happen and we now have an unnecessary inquiry on our credit. Additionally, we did not want optional warranties, I consented to waive information on the warranties to release liability on the dealership, and the sales associate continued to insist I had to hear about them.

It was a little tricky booking my appointment since it was my first time navigating the system, but once I got hooked up with the right person, the messaging system worked really well .Upon arrival, I was greeted promptly by a friendly technician who addressed all of my concerns. I also had my 12 week old puppy with me (because I couldn't leave him home), and it was really nice that I was able to have him wait with me inside.The installation of my accessory happened really quickly, and I was driving away in less than 30 minutes.Once I got through the frustration of navigating the messaging system, and got handed off to the correct person, the rest of my experience was super satisfying.

Jeff Hall was great to work with. He was honest and helpful and didn't rush me to make a decision. He answered all of my questions, and on the couple of random things he didn't know, he found the answers quickly. As a woman, I have had a few negative experiences getting pushed into the wrong vehicle in the past, but this was not my experience this time. Thanks so much for your help Jeff, I love my new outback! Jerry in the finance department was also great, very informative, and got me in and out quickly.

From start to finish it was a great experience! My family has bought from this location many many times over the years. Jeff was my sales associate and he was awesome!! I highly recommend him to anyone wanting to get a car. He didn't feel like he was trying to over sale. He was very approachable and knowledgeable about all the cars I asked about.

Prices for simple repairs are over the top high. I was charged $51 to change a $10-$20 cabin filter that takes 3-5 minutes to change. Other repairs/services were the same. I love my Subaru. It has 120K miles on it and therefore out of warranty. You are driving me to choose an independent repair shop that is more affordably priced. There may be enough uninformed people to build your business on, but I won't be one of those going forward.

I came in the afternoon before my appointment and they accommodated me. My loaner was actually ready and I was able to take it. They even started working on my car which allowed a part to be ordered. They kept kept me updated on the progress and when it was finished. An excellent service experience.

Let me preface. The employees here were great and the salesmen were wonderful. I’m rating the dealership one star as a whole because while the service was great while buying, I think that they’re not fully inspecting used vehicles before listing them for sale. On the test drive I found a few issues with the vehicle at hand, aka sun roof drain clogged and blower motor about to go out (super loud and very obvious for both of those) which they did fix after it being brought up.I would consider myself a little more car savvy than a normal person, but still not anywhere near a mechanic. Less than a week after picking up the vehicle my brakes are already squeaking. While driving on the freeway and stopping I get vibration in the pedal and steering wheel shake because of the warped rotors and the brakes needing replacement.I think it’s terrible for a dealership that doesn’t allow any negotiation to not fix issues that are really easy to spot for any mechanic trained to inspect a vehicle let alone a non mechanic aka me. Either they’re ignoring costly maintenance that should be addressed before the car is sold or they’re genuinely not catching the issues. I think both are equally bad.I will now be out another $800+ after replacing the brakes. Please be careful with used cars from this dealer and ensure that you’re doing your due diligence.

Our service advisor Marc at Subaru SouthTowne was great. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. Didn’t have the best experience at the mid town location so started going to the south town location and it’s been much better.

This was the best car buying experience we have ever had. We were helped by Benson who was very knowledgeable and responsive. Keith in finance was also very nice and really just tried to help us understand the products that best met our needs and neither was ever pushy. Both were very transparent with everything. We got good service and paid a fair price. That’s more than you will say at 90% of dealerships.

The employees were very kind, however the costs are absurd. There were about 4 issues troubleshot on my car in the span of two hours before I got the report. Each troubleshooting item cost in the range of $300-$500 EACH. A couple of the fixes were quoted upwards of $700 for very little work and cheap parts. This is absolute highway robbery and luckily I could at the very least save myself about $1000 on the quote as I believe I can do these myself with my current tools. Still ended up paying $2400 for not all that much work. Not sure if it’s part markups or extremely high labor costs but either way it’s getting completely out of hand when I can just about buy a functioning used car for the price of fixing a few things on my current car. Going to avoid coming back as much as I can. Again, not the employees fault I’m sure. They were kind people, just angry about getting taken advantage of with the pricing.

The service department here is excellent. I'm regularly in Salt Lake and recently had an issue with the infotainment screen in my '23 Outback while on a long road trip. When I called at 8am, I was immediately given an appointment within the hour. Bri in the service department quickly took care of an update for the infotainment system without any issues. This is the second time in a month where the service department came through last second. Before this, they got me a roof rack crossbar 5 minutes before they closed on a Saturday. Excellent customer service. I'll return here every time I'm in Salt Lake.
