Brought my golden in for an emergency from what I thought was a cut. They got me in immediately and were incredibly friendly and helpful. The price was high for just a quick 30 minute visit (turned out to just be a dermatitis problem) but I expected such from an emergency visit! My boy was happy from all the love and treats and I left with peace of mind.

It was pricey but they gave my boy amazing care and kept me updated throughout his surgery process. They genuinely care about the animals they are treating. I would rather pay a pricey vet bill than take my animal to someone that doesn’t care. Thank you so much for everything.

This VCA is one of the better ones in the valley. The vet is super nice and spends the time to explain what they’re doing. Vet techs are super nice over the phone and in person. Only knocking off a star because it can be hard sometimes to get ahold of them via phone.

I called to ask how much a particular surgery might cost and the lady who I talked with on the phone refused to give me any number! She told me I had to come and spend $100 before I could find out how much it would cost and if my pet would even be eligible. All I wanted was a general idea how much it might be so I could plan on it, no price range was given and I’m left frustrated and annoyed. Sorry for the negative review.

I took my dog here for what was the most important visit of her life and was left disappointed and traumatized to say the least. I would never recommend this animal hospital to someone trying to peacefully put their loved ones to rest. I took my old and sickly 16 year old pit bull in to say our final good-byes. Her illness had come on quickly, within a few days.I had taken her here previously, just a handful of times and I never had any problems, so I felt it suitable to bring her here again. I called early in the morning to inquire about bringing her in. She was very reactive with other dogs due to some abuse she endured prior to our adopting her, but she has always been safe around humans. I asked about the possibility for a time to bring her, where there would be no other animals. I again notified them that she is totally safe and gentle with people. They notified me that the soonest I could bring her in would be a half hour before closing and they would ensure no other patients were scheduled or allowed in at that time. Although I wish it could’ve been sooner, I understood that it is difficult to accommodate a large, reactive dog. I thanked them and set the appointment. When we showed up, things seemed to be going well. No other patients were there, and they began checking us in quickly. It then began to feel like they were rushing us to get in and get this over with, they were not patient with her when trying to get a weight or coax her into the room. Mind you, at this time she was still very compliant and not being aggressive or reactive at all, just old, slow, and in pain.We got in the room and I asked what to expect, as I have never had to endure euthanizing a loved one and planned on being there with her though the very end. I just wanted to know what was going to happen, how many injections, and what they would be doing to her, how each would impact her. Again, the vet seemed very over it with my questions and in a rush to get things moving. All while I am trying to get a grasp on what is about to happen, I can hear receptionists in the lobby talking and laughing loudly. We also heard another patient come in with a dog which was being very loud and barking which then upset my dog and she began barking as well, but showed no other signs of aggression. To make matters worse, after delivering what ended up being a half-effort explanation of the events to come, the vet went out to grab the medication and returned with his aid. Upon their return, the aid gently grabbed my dog by the leash before quickly and forcefully bracing her against the vet in order to administer the first syringe. This noticeably upset and startled her and she came running back over to me with her tail between her legs, shaking.I was very upset and said we needed a minute before the second medication. Again, the vet seemed very irritated at my request for more time. Her symptoms from the first medication began to set in. They did not tell me that she would become paralyzed. They did not tell me that she would have labored breathing. They did not tell me she would be unable to keep her tongue in her mouth. I felt I asked all the right questions and got no helpful information that would’ve mentally prepared me for what I had to watch my dog go through. They only gave me about 5 minutes with her before they returned with the second medication and it set in quickly, and then she was gone. They said I could stay in the room with her as long as I wanted (a cremation service was going to pick her up the following day from the vet, I already had that arranged). All the while, receptions are still cutting it up and laughing it up in the lobby. They wanted me to come a half hour before closing. If they were truly in that large of a rush, they could have said that they could not accommodate my requests of having no other animals in the lobby and I would have gone elsewhere. To accept my request, fall short on delivering what I asked, rush me, and then not have the decency to be quiet as I am saying goodbye to a loved one… it’s inexcusable.

We took our Sadie in for her annual. She was perfect except for a cracked molar Dr Tim had her back in 3 days extracted the tooth and she’s back home and a happy camper. Thank you VCA Mountain View Sandy Dr Tim and staff for excellent care of our Sadie. We will see you next time. Frank, Robyn and Sadie

My old girl (17 years old)Maisie saw Dr. Neilson this week due to respiratory issue which began a couple of days ago. Labored breathing, eye/nose discharge. Dr. Neilson was super friendly and informative. The vet techs here are amazing as well. I've been going to another clinic in West Jordan for over 30 years, but over the past 2 years I've migrated 3 of my kitties to Mountainview. 1. The staff there is friendly, kind, knowledgeable. 2. They help to get you in within a few days rather than just referring you to vet ER, which my Wesr Jordan clinic seems to do ALL the time now. 3. Their office visit fee is aligned with other clinics, unlike the WJordan clinic, which charges an extra $20 on top of their $85 office fee if your pet is sick. I take 2 of my long hair kitties to vca Mountainview each spring for a sedated groom, they always do a wonderful job. I appreciate the caring and kind attitude Mountainview displays when you call for an appointment or information, many other vet clinics seem to be bothered by having to answer the phone, but I've never had this issue with the Vca Mountainview crew.

$30 to trim my cat’s nails, not to mention the fees I’ve had in the past. Seriously, I’ve had it with the outrageous fees and no one cares or says anything. It’s wrong on so many levels. And who needs 4 receptionists that appear to not be very busy. I hope I can find a better & more reasonable bet. When will people speak up & finally stop allowing this greed????

My family and I have been coming here for years. We saw Dr Kanda before she recently retired. We have seen some of the other docs and everyone has always been great! We have adopted from here as well, Bender renamed Frodo and I believe Bilbo also.We have brought many animals here for their last appointment where they came home a few weeks later in a lovely wooden box and lovely gift bag with some lovely mementos that you can create and pick up later on. A few that made it to old age and were taken care of well by this practice, unfortunately a few were too young but all received exemplary care!I hope you guys continue to be awesome ?I just took my cats where I get 50% off their vet care at my new job. I will certainly be back!

Congratulations to me, and all thanks to Mrs. Christina Robert, she never stop doing miracles. I was so shocked and amazed the very moment I received my second profits in my Bank account this is wonderful. Indeed good work deserve great recommendation, after my first profits I had to reinvest my $600 in her company, which after six working days I got my second profit of $5,250. I'm very excited, may God continue to bless you. Anyone in search of a professional and trustworthy forex expert, please do not hesitate to contact Christina Robert FX. WhatsApp: +16672905245 Email:

Mountain View has been our veterinary hospital for over 20 years. Dr. Kirkland has been wonderful with my Dog Dog and the Twerp(princess). Kanda took special care of our Esia Roo with her CKD diagnosis. Sally and the office personnel are great.

My wife and I are transporting our two dogs to Australia and VCA Mountain View Animal Hospital has been helping us with the long and arduous process. The manager Sally and her team are fantastic! All very professional and remarkably helpful, if anyone were to ask for a recommendation these amazing people would be the first and only place I would approve. The vets are all wonderful too, Bruce and Nellie are always excited to arrive when we take them to VCA Mountain View. I cannot speak highly enough of Sally and her team.

I went to Sandy Animal Clinic for many years. Prior to COVID-19. Following I was disappointed in quality, cleanliness and diagnosis after. I thought it was a blip. No it wasn't. I have had such great experiences with Mountain View since 2022 I am NEVER going to Sandy Animal Clinic again!!!!!

The doctors, staff, and groomers took very good care of my dog River. She was a difficult dog to groom and Wynona always had the magic touch. I'm bringing my new dog here since they did such an excellent job.
