Austin was training a new man, Gene. Gene was courteous and professional, but it was Austin’s experience that resolved our problem. I’m really glad we had someone who knew what he was doing!Follow-up - The original diagnosis did not fix the problem. This time Gene came by himself and correctly diagnosed it. Today when the part arrived he installed it. Hopefully this will fix the issue.

The five star rating is SOLEY applied to Bret - the technician who repaired our refrigerator. He was terrific - smart, personable, timely, talented, thorough. I rated 5 stars because I want him to benefit.However, the company behind Bret is awful, and I consciously chose that word. Without Bret, the company rating is zero stars. Cancelled three previous appointments with no explanation. Left the family without a kitchen refrigerator for months. Has no way to speak to a live body when things go wrong. The online systems will only show current appointment and no options to get further information. When I tricked the system into giving me a live body, the agent was surprised but refused to help, stating we could keep the appointment the system set long into the future, schedule even further in the future, or cancel. There were no other options, even after I pointed out the reason they scheduled us out so long was because of the company mistake in claiming parts had to be shipped when in fact the parts had arrived at our house weeks before. Customer service (except for Bret) is abhorrent - maddening - worse than I have ever experienced in any industry. I even tried to find the name of the CEO to contact him/her. That is a closely guarded secret - and I understand why. Except for Bret, this was an absolutely terrible experience. I would fire the CEO and executive team and start over. This is a leadership problem. Employees follow leadership. The board needs to do its job.I know you will post my 5 star rating with pride. I hope you also have the integrity to post my comments.

I have had the worst experience with Sears Appliance Repair. I've had them fix two appliances for me since I've lived here 3 years. The first was bumpy with scheduling etc but I just thought this was normal. Second time, this was bad, the diagnostic tech was on drugs. He used my bathroom 6 times in 3 hours I assume "bumping" he also continued to brag about being fired soon for this issue. I was scared for myself so I kept my husband on speaker. 2nd off he diagnosed it so incorrectly that when the service tech came I had extra parts I was charged for and another lengthy day fixing my fridge at full cost.Now, 2 weeks before Christmas my dishwasher goes out. I schedule an appointment for a week out (this last Monday), the day of no call no text no nothing. At 6PM I finally called and found out they cancelled without telling me for Wednesday. That's today, again I hear nothing, my window started at 1:00PM. I get a call from a lady that continues to tell me the "tech" called out sick. Another day wasted right before Christmas!! She didn't apologize nothing after I told her I was done with the horrid service and took my needs elsewhere.Don't, just don't!

Worst service I have ever received. I'm starting to think the entire operation is a scam. I paid $550 in November and it's now mid March with absolutely no service. I have now called 6 times about service and ultimately about a refund. No response ever!!!
