I stopped in the day before to make sure all was in place for the following morning pick-up! All good! I arrive the next day and the employee decided never to show up. The Emissions expert that DOESN'T work for U-Haul was amazing that he would stop his job on car work and use a FaceTime on his phone to another U-Haul to help this NON-employee get me a truck. The truck itself was disgusting with bugs on the windshield, I had to scrub the truck clean AND help move it out of a back corner parking lot with 2 trucks ahead of it to be moved first. It is my mission to make sure the SLC area knows this is a worthless place to rent a U-Haul.

The customer service was amazing. Highly recommend getting your rentals from here and the owner even helped me lift the U-Haul trailer off my hitch. Very professional and the staff is great to work with.

Changed my Uhaul truck size rental and did not mention it to me until the night before the rental, were then rude about it over the phone. I previously rented a Uhaul from here, they are pretty slow at the counter and the truck was dinged up on the front bumper and the damage wasn’t included in the pre-taken photos they uploaded online.

Overall we got to our destination
Utah to Columbus Mississippi
27 hour drive.
Con .
Truck was outdated.
No cruise control, it's a must if your driving almost across the country.
Con. Outdated entertainment system radio hardly got signal.
Radio or aux cable. I had to buy an aux cord in order to listen to music and even then had to tape it up because the stereo aux hole was worn down.
Con. Steering alignment
The truck pulled hard to the right and on a long trip well, it will become apparent on your arms constantly having to apply force to correct for the pull.
Pro. Great costumer service ,
Got into some road issues and they quickly got on top of it , I would rent another Uhaul just updated.

Don't go here. I rented a uhaul from them, brought it back before I was supposed to and the guy charged me for an extra day lying saying I brought it in over an hour late. If you don't want to worry about a hassle with uhaul, rent from anyone else.

They have no urgency when helping people and clearly don't care about their customers. The staff left in the middle of the day (not during the posted lunch hour) and a half dozen people were stuck waiting to pick up or drop off a truck. There wasn't even a sign in the window saying when they would be back. The first time we rented from here nobody showed up until 30 minutes after they opened. Go somewhere else and they might actually be there when you show up.

App had a bunch of issues. Had to call and the service rep helped process the pick up and return of the vehicle since the app would freeze. The location did not have all the blankets we paid for and there was no dolly like we paid for. Had to go back when it was open just to get the things we paid for. Which was frustrating but the truck worked and we were able to move what we needed to.

Charged me for a "late return" even though the truck was back when it was supposed to be. Had to send pictures to corporate to reverse the charges.

Never go with self moving. Ended up with a 250$ charge I was not expecting. All spelled out in paperwork, sure. But for $370 I could have called a moving company.

Rented a pickup truck. The only problem I had was the U-Haul app wouldn't work. No big deal. The guy that helped me was extremely nice. Pick up time was about 20 min and drop off was me handing over the keys. The only complaint I have has nothing to do with the service but with the amount U-Haul charges per mile. Almost $1/mile and those miles add up quick. Only reason I won't be using U-Haul again.
