This post office is awesome. The people here are polite, helpful, and are happy to explain things to you. Yes there is sometimes a line, but they provide a helpful and necessary service, which a lot of people use. Despite there being a line it always moves quickly because there has never been fewer than three people behind the desk. With the serious budget cuts and financial constraints put on them, it seems like this location still manages to shine.
Keep up the great work! 👍

It's just bad how behind USPS is. I used the computer kiosk to try to ship a simple letter priority and it was like using a computer from the 1990s and eventually just kicked me out for no reason.

Monday before Christmas and only one worker. The line is out the door. Been in line for 10 minutes and still stuck on the same customer since I came in. Zero movement.

Worst office ever! They staff is a joke. Never answer their phones. Horrible service. Might as well shut down this lot or fill it with robots. They'd do better than those you have supposedly working there. It's a shame. Wish I could switch offices without moving. 😪

Beware of published operating hours. Saturday closing time is listed as 3:30. I got there at 2:55. The entire packaging area was already closed up and an employee was directing people to the self-service station as the only option because “they close at 3.” No one was allowed to go get in line for help with getting a label made and paying for shipping, and obviously couldn’t package anything with the materials locked up behind the grates. Super disappointing to drive farther to this location because my usual close location closes at 2:00, just to be a complete waste of time. Especially during the holiday season when we know people are trying to send more packages. If this location really closes at 3:00 on Saturdays, please update the website to reflect that. Otherwise, customers should be allowed services until 3:30 as advertised.

This is the only post office around that I have problems with. I send things to my clients often, and the workers in this post office constantly have a shitty attitude and refuse to help with anything. This is the closest to my house but I guess I’ll drive further just to have better customer service.

I guess closing at 3:30 means you need to get there before 3:25. Showed up 5 min before closing to send something that needed to go out and everything was already closed up and no one was there.
Tax dollars hard at work!

I’ve usually had a good experience here, with the sometimes long lines being the only downside. I’ve coincidentally (and fortunately) always been helped by the same man at the counter - wish I knew his name - and he’s always been so nice and helpful and very personable. I went in recently to drop off a return with a prepaid label but when I was taping the label onto the package before coming in, I ran out of tape. (For reference, that’s happened to me one other time before and the man who helped me at the front desk happily (or at least it seemed that way) offered up a tape gun to help me seal it. He didn’t give me any attitude about it or anything. I guess it’s on me for not knowing that they DO NOT provide tape anywhere, even at the desk with pens that people stop at to prepare their mail before heading to the counter, which I find odd cause in my experience, literally every other shipping place I’ve used has had Sharpies, tape, etc. available to their customers.) Anyway, when I first walked in there was one customer at the counter and one customer ahead of me in line. There were also no workers at the front counter, which was a first for me. About 3-5 min after waiting there, a woman walked back up to the counter to finish assisting the man she was obviously already helping. She seemed to have treated him well. Then the customer in front of me was helped and she also treated him very well; smiles, laughing, etc. Then it was my turn and I politely and apologetically asked if she had any tape I could please use, as I had run out of it when I was preparing my package at home. Don’t get me wrong, I KNOW that’s a “me problem” and isn’t her problem at all. However, in my experience, one of her own coworkers has helped me out when I was in the very same situation, so I guess I incorrectly assumed it wouldn’t be an issue. She proceeded to tell me she could let me try to use her tape gun but that they typically don’t do that, as they ask that everyone have their packages ready before they come up (which I was obviously already aware of) and that they usually charge for using the tape. I thanked her and apologized for not having it “ready” for her and then she said she was going to help the people behind me because by not having my package ready I was holding up the line. It was so rude and embarrassing. I sidestepped away from the counter and still no other workers had come up by the way, so it was just her running the show. I tried to use the tape gun and couldn’t get it to tear off. I tried several times and couldn’t get it to tear across the blade. But she kept helping other customers so I couldn’t easily interject to ask for help, and I didn’t really want to either based on how she’d already treated me. Finally a nice customer next to me offered to help but then the worker just reached over and took it herself and proceeded to show me that it was basically busted up and you had to use it a certain way. Like if I had known that, I wouldn’t have troubled her for her freaking tape gun. She made it extremely obvious that I was inconveniencing her. Once she finally got the one piece to tear off, I just took my package back from her and said, “I’ll just come in later. I don’t want to INCONVENIENCE you.” and she just laughed at me as I walked away. I couldn’t believe the difference in how she treated me vs the two customers she had helped prior to me. By the way, I work in customer service at a front desk myself and even knowing how annoying and frustrating customers can be, I would never treat someone that way who wasn’t being rude to me. I definitely won’t be coming back to this location. Trust their poor rating on here.

Some of the most unhelpful, unpleasant people work at this post office. If you can ship or mail something through any other service or go to another post office I would highly advise.

The post office carrier left the "need signature" in the mail box without coming to our door. We were home. This is now the common practice of the postal service. Lazy!! We have to drive all the way to the post office to get something that was at my home the day before. Cottonwood Heights delivery person!

They frequently close before the stated time, can never get “marked for pickup” right, and are generally slow and unreliable.
