Not sure what other reviewers are complaining about. I've bought more guns than I should from the Saratoga Sportsman's and I pass by two other Sportsman's just because Derek is a good dude and always given me superior customer service. I drive 30 miles out of my way to go to the Saratoga Store because some of the closer ones couldn't hold a candle to Derek's gun department. Just saying.....

Can't ever get anyone to help. The front desk area never has anyone who has a clue up there. Unfortunately better off spending your money at cabela's/bass pro or scheels. Although sometimes they have good deals if they have it in stock

My little brother tried to come return a shirt; originally the blonde cashier was helping about to do the return, joci or jaci (short girl with glasses) butted in saying they couldn’t return the shirt because it smelled like someone had already used it. The shirt had been in the bag since it was bought because my brother didn’t realize it was a girl shirt and not a shirt that was for him. They asked to speak to a manager, and she proceeded to tell them no because the manager was going to be mad so they left. I ended up coming Not even an hour later and asking to do the return and she had told me the same thing. The shirt smells like it’s been used. I proceeded to ask the customer behind us and everyone around us if the shirts smell like it had been used and no one said it smelled like it so I asked to speak to the manager and she called her . At that point, I also asked her why she didn’t get the manager when my little brother Asked for her and she said I didn’t want the manager to yell at them. I have seen her do that before. The manager came up and asked us what we needed And I said I need to return the shirt and the cashier girl popped in and said the shirt smells like it’s been used. The manager checked it and checked the tags and the receipt and let us return it. At this point the only thing I can think of is my brother had a very strong accent, and I don’t see why she made a big deal about returning the shirt when it was in perfect if Employees act like this they are going to lose a lot of customers, especially customers who are different races because at this point we Thinking this was a racial thing.

There have the cheapest shotgun ammo around! $8.99 a box for the brand I got. Also had great prices for .22 ammo

Great selection. Not the biggest story but they will have everything you need for hunting, fishing, or outdoor adventure. We likeThis location and choose to come here over some of the other ones because they have a really good selection of equipment.

My brother in law was looking to buy a firearm so I took him here and the customer service was, frankly, insulting. We asked to view 2 different handguns and the manager of the store proceeded to tell us how it was too big of a hassle to have his employee look for these two firearms for us. This included cursing and some explanation that he couldn’t have the counter unattended when literally both guns were behind the counter. The employee working the counter was very polite and helpful but that manager was just the worst. We ended up buying some ammo and just leaving cause the experience was so awful. I get that a lot of guys come to look at guns and never buy anything but we’re not going to want to spend that kind of money on something we’ve never held. Don’t go here unless you want a healthy dose of disrespect with your gun purchase.

People at the store were very helpful. Asked 4 times if I needed anything and all of the employees seemed genuinely ready to help. Prices seemed high for some things. We didn't buy anything, but I would definitely come back.

What happened to this store? It was good when it opened. Waited for over 30 min for some help in the camping section. Spoke to 2 employees who said they could not leave their area despite not being with customers. Two overhead pages. Still no one. Ran out of time and had to leave.

Not sure how old of a store it is but everything looks new and the gun shelves were all full and in stock. The staff got my paperwork and the only gun of the type in stock done in about 20 minutes. I recommend this store if crowds aren't your thing. It's big spacey and the crowd is minimal compared to midvale.

I had to pick something up for a friend and ran in 15 minutes before closing. I have worked retail and know how annoying right before close customers can be.The staff were friendly and helpful even though they were trying to get end of shift tasks done.They store was clean and organized. I asked and they helped me find the item.Price was what I expected and surprisingly online inventory counts matched what was on the shelf.

I visited the Saratoga springs Sportsmans warehouse on July 4, 2023. I drove from Pleasant Grove to Saratoga springs and intended to buy two pairs of rocky hunting boots. One for myself. One was for my son. I actually took a heavy pair of wool socks, we intended to wear with these boots I went to the shoe department. There was nobody there. I wandered around, trying to find Rocky boots I couldn't find any Rocky boots at all and I noticed this younger gentleman walking around and he passed me three or four times I didn't realize he was an employee. I couldn't find anybody to help me so I went back somebody was stocking in the reloading style I asked him for help. He asked, told me to go to the front desk and ask for somebody to help me, and in the boot department, which I did, and then I noticed the younger field and past me three or four times behind the counter so I asked him do you work here he said yes, I said well I'm trying to find Rocky boots I seen them online you've got that special going on on them but I can't find them anywhere so he walked over and we went up and down the isles together I said, and he couldn't find them I said, by chance, would you have any in the back room and he said not usually I said well can you could you go look for me so he could he went and did look in the back room come back and said no we don't have any possible can you check other stores around so he called the Provo location and I was talking with someone on the phone that's what I was looking for and then he probably got off the phone and told me that there is no more Rocky boots in in that model available in the United States. It's funny I got home I went on prime Amazon prime and I found the same exact boots. I probably won't visit this location again but they didn't want to help me whatsoever the guys in the gun area I walk back there and ask a couple of questions on the 40 Smith & Wesson and the two that were there were too busy on the phone Steven want to try and help me anyway if I had to get bad reviews but I went out there and expectations to buy two pairs of boots I come home and the cat empty-handed I should've just stayed home and ordered them on prime. Thank you.

On June 17th 2023 I went in to buy a Christensen Arms Rifle for $2399 and a Z5 Swarovski scope5-25x-52mm$1549 + rings and bases. Earlier in the day I had stopped by cabelas to check their inventory and happened to notice the same rifle that I wanted for less money. Being a frequent loyal customer to Sportsman's I would rather pay a little bit more because I feel that the workmanship is better than most retail shops. However, the issues arose when Derek in the firearm department first started to assist me. I had asked to see if there was any package pricing they could do or any incentives available. Derek chuckled and said absolutely not bud, we don't need to discount to sell guns. I was a bit taken back and also felt insulted like I was asking for something unreasonable. In the past Christensen arms will have a end of year sale which is when I typically buy. I asked about bore sighting and mounting or even a free scope coat. He laughed again and said "your not getting anything for free". I was willing to pay full price when I went in and didn't expect anything for free but after his extremely rude approach and demeanor my loyalty to this store was changing directions. I asked if there was a manager I could talk to, and again another rude response "I will not call him on his day off how disrespectful of you to even ask" unaware of his location. I will always give another business,store, & employee an opportunity, but working in customer service myself I can't imagine treating a customer this way. Derek is an embarrassment to your location, your company and to your customers.

The most helpful staff for all things fishing. Especially employee Logan. Amazing reel technician and customer service. He serviced my massive saltwater reels on the spot, while multi-tasking and helping customers with spooling their reels and making recommendations on products and best fishing spots. Thank you Logan. Would love to have you as an employee. Great product selection too.

The service in the Saratoga Springs store was first rate! Kurt the manager of the hunting department was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. He was a true professional in every way! I highly recommend this store and their top notch staff.
