Skiing at Solitude has become the stuff of nightmare fuel. You buy and ikon pass that is unlimited but you can't ride there unless you have a reservation. Oh and look they are all gone already for the season on weekends. Then on top of that, insane parking rates. You could carpool and have 3 people in the car, still 35 bucks to park if you were lucky enough to even get a reservation to ride on a weekend.Get through all of that and get yourself ready to wait in long lines. I'm done with this place.

Very crowded. Runs get icy quick because of too many riders on the hill. Spend more time trying not to get run into than riding. There are 4 bathroom stalls for men at the base. Also @usforestservice you can smell the septic overflowing, place should probably be shut down/fined and sold off to the town for management. Also too many children... Gross.

One would think that when signing up for beginner's lessons they would make sure you can turn and/or stop before going down the hill. And worse, not tell you how or help you get up when you inevitably fall leaving you to writhe around in a snowdrift until YOU say, "I cannot stand up and I need to somehow get these boots off of the skis or I will not be able to" until they do anything helpful.

The beautiful view we went up on Tuesday snow is not so good yet then we went back on Sunday. It's a perfect day to ski but the parking spot is hard to find even though we go up there after 1 pm . Need to be back on weekdays!

The mountain is wonderful. There are only a couple slopes open right now, and those are pretty crowded, but during the season, it should be a great place to visit. We will definitely be back.

We are out of town and enjoyed doing some skiing on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving in 2023. Parking was still free and the lift ticket was about $60. They were only limited to hands available in the courtesy towards the end of the day however, it was a special experience. Many people use the parking lot to tailgate and even have a grill set up for cooking lunch.

This is a decent resort however, the ski/snowboard school is poorly organized/structured. I have purchased an IKON pass because we have family near other resorts and it is accommodating for this circumstance. Solitude has a lesson schedule with one of the lessons on a blackout date which REQUIRES to you either buy an additional pass for that one day OR spend an additional couple hundred dollars to "upgrade" your pass. They are NOT WILLING to either move the lesson to another date or give just the students a pass for the one day. You would think that with the amount of money you are already spending, they would be willing to work something out, but no, they want to squeeze every dollar they can out of you! CORPORATE GREED AT ITS BEST....... SMH

Spent 4 days here for the Total Archery Challenge in July and got a two bedroom suite w/kitchen, fireplace and livingroom. Was the perfect size for 3 guys and all their archery gear. Eagle Springs Lodge East was right in the little village and a 5 minute walk to the 150 Archery venders at the base of the mountain. If there was anything to improve on, it would be good options. The restaurant food was delicious, but a limited menu.

Monday 2/13 9am On a Monday, Solitude resort is minimally busy. We stopped by an also minimally busy Alpine coffee at 8am (got super crowded by 845am) and didn't touch my coffee for how short the drive was. The car next to us was having a cookout on a Coleman. The minor trek to the parking kiosks was icy. There was a parking attendant handing out discounts for cars with 2 or more people. This brought the fare down from $20 to $10. The lift ticket was $120 for military (the $111 is probably without tax) but I probably could have gotten away with a beginner's lift ticket ($89). The rentals folks were awesome. They explained everything to me and I was in and out in a flash. The green run to the right is probably a bunny. I loved it. And the guys who set the chairs for us gave us all sorts of positive affirmations. It was really great. The green run to the left is a green with some areas that felt blue. That was my first run before I realized my boots were too loose. I was having a hell of a time turning my right ski. I would be down to come back on a Monday!

Solitude Resort was such a treat to explore whole coating from California. One of my favorite trails were the blue trail from the top. My fiancé and I also loved the cinnamon sugar waffles dipped in the chocolate syrup. Can't wait to come back!

Such a fun resort in the winter! Lines are relatively short except for the weekend but they do move pretty fast.\\nPlenty of bars to stop in at during the day throughout the mountain. Guest parking is super easy and pretty cheap as well! They also offer hot chocolate and s’mores as a courtesy like, every other day!

Too many reckless skiers on the intermediate runs. The card readers are all too low so you have to stoop down to have it read your pass. I skied 19 different scary as last year, and I will not come back to Solitaire.Ski patrol and guest services were nice. If you like double diamond runs and really gnarly stuff, it is killer.

A really gorgeous mountain with slopes of all levels. You can also take the lift up and ski right over to Brighton. Pretty little village at the bottom. The widest variety of food options I've ever seen. Beautiful view from the lodge. I had a nice time here and would love to return on next season's Utah trip.
